Help out and know that you made an author smile.

There is less than two day left for the giveaway on Goodreads. If you haven't had a chance to sign up head over there and check it out. It is for one autographed copy. I'm still looking for people to write reviews or blog about Endlessly if they have read it. The feedback that I have gotten has been promising. Usually the first thing people tell me is how they felt about the story, then they ask when Legacy will be available. I tell them that I hope to have it out by the end of this year but I don't want to make any promises that I can't keep. So for people that have read Endlessly, head over to Amazon and leave a review. I know that I personally don't like to buy a book that has no reviews – regardless if it's good or bad.

Werewolf over Frogman any day.

I finally got caught up and watched the finale of Face Off. Yes, we all knew Conner would win. He was strong in every challenge. But Tate's werewolf kicked ass, and if it was based only on the last performance, Tate should have won. I loved the concept of a white werewolf; it really displayed the blood as a contrast. Although the werewolves in my books are different than this type of stereotypical display, I still love the old school feel. Way to go Tate, I was blown away. This show is growing to be one of my favorites.

Losing touch with reality in the land of vampires and monsters.

So on Monday I thought it was Friday, and last night as I caught Craig Ferguson on break at work, I thought – Why the hell does he have some guy dressed as a Leprechaun when St. Patrick's Day is so far away? Once I got back to my desk I looked at the calendar and realized that it was the 17th!!!!! I feel as though I have really lost my grasp on reality as this series continues. I think it is beyond just the story; it's the way I write. Everything that I have written has been in the first person. When I write I go back over what I have written previously and put myself in that person's shoes…literally. I will sit at the computer and follow their ticks, speech patterns, and movements. I will get up and walk around the house acting like them. Essentially I become them when I am writing. With this last book, it's been very difficult. The character has so many mental disorders and flaws that I can't even just sit and write from beginning to end like the other three books. I find myself going back and adding more chapters, changing her speech, her actions – I'm constantly jumping from one section to another and not finishing what I started. The scary part: I didn't mind becoming Verloren, Ash, and Jason – but this girl… I find myself a little more angry than I was with Jason and have strange dreams, and paranoid and panicky. I'm almost ready to drop this project all together.  And it is because I have decided to merge book 4 and 5 to finish this once and for all, in order to do that, really bad things have to happen that I know are not going to make being her any easier. I've heard of actors getting sucked into their roles, but writers? I'm almost to the point of saying after this is done, I will not write any more.

Don't be afraid of the vampire.

Having a hard time finding people to review Endlessly. I've submitted my information to several different book bloggers and no one is interested. If you have read it and have an Amazon account, I encourage you to go and leave an honest review for the book. Every step I have taken during the publishing of this book, I've stepped outside of myself and into the reader's shoes. When other authors were yelling about "undermining your work" by keeping the price below $10, I countered with, "I would not pay more than $10 for a book that size." When people told me to hire a graphic artist to create a cover, I thought, I would pick up a book with a mysterious blood splattered cover vs. a professional-looking-done-a-hundred-times cover. So this brings me to the reviews. If I was looking at a book online, I most certainly read the reviews before I buy it. I have one person doing a blog review and an Amazon review but I'm not sure how long that will take. If you've read it, regardless if you liked it or not, write a review. I am a firm believer in there is no such thing as bad publicity (hence the creepy photos). Again, I look at it from my view. If someone tells me something is really bad, I will want to know why it's bad. So don't be bashful, write the truth, and help other readers decide if it's the right book for them.

Get ready.

As the newbies can see and the people I know already know - I have quite a few creepy pictures. This is a side project that a friend and I have been working on. It all started with the photo for the book jacket. "I don't some stupid photo of me sitting by the fireside reading a book. I want something that fits my personality." were my words.

So began the fun of the creepy photos. I think it has bit me in the ass a little. People go to my website, see my photo and say, "What kind of twisted @#%*...?" Oh well, it does grab their attention though.

Next weeks project will be double exposure. Awesome. I don't know why it completely slipped my mind that I had a tux in the basement but it will go into the new photos.

If you would like to see some more of my friends photos, check out http://www.tattoosbyoch.com/ Enjoy.

Another Book Giveaway!

Here is another opportunity for you to own it for free. Not only free but autographed also. So if you're a Goodreads member make your way over to the site and get signed up. You have seven days till it's over.

I'm still on the search for bloggers and reviewers. If you have had a chance to read Endlessly, stop by Amazon's or Barnes & Noble's website and leave a review. I want to see what people think regardless if it is good or bad.

I got asked again over the weekend from a reader when Legacy will be released. For now I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be before the year is out, but I'm still waiting for Endlessly to pick up to make sure that it's a path worth going down.

So if you've read the story, leave a review somewhere, or better yet recommend it a friend if you liked it and don't forget to check out Goodreads.

It was all worth it.

The giveaway went better than I had imagined. Over 900 people requested the 5 copies that I entered. Wow! Honestly, since the drawling was less than 4 days, I didn't think I would get 5 people to sign up. And now, through the Goodreads website, over 160 people have it marked as to read.!!! That shocks the heck out of me. So, with the painful process of conversion, I have made the eBook available on the Goodreads website. I am going to try and do a giveaway once a month. The website only allows you to do them within the first 6 months of publishing so…that's how many months I will do it. From here out though, I will only do one book at a time and it will be autographed.I am now out of book marks and have decided that this time around I will do business cards. There are plenty of sights out there that offer a lot of them for cheap. They are easier to pass out, can still be put in books, and carry all the same information while looking more professional. It looks like there will be another creepy photo-shoot on the 21st. Awesome. I know that people get slightly freaked out about the photos, but they are an attention getter for sure. The window graphic…still waiting, I hope it shows up tomorrow.I am happily mailing out a free copies tomorrow morning to two bands and a book blogger. (Yeah, finally! A blogger!) I sort of feel like I'm treading water right now, trying to figure out which way to swim. I just want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to read it if they want. And now for the down and dirty…A person approached me to tell me that they had read my book in two days.  "I actually thought it was really good. I liked it."  Cold as steel, Scary Carrie, it felt…indescribable. I wanted to bawl. I was so happy that one person in the whole world liked it. But since I was at work - I felt the color drain from my face, my throat tighten, my eyes prick, I smiled weakly and said, "Thank you." – As they started asking about the sequel. You cannot image the way I felt. All this time, money, stress, sleepless nights, headaches, anger and research – it was fully repaid in that one statement. It was all worth it.www.authorcvhunt.com

It doesn't bother you that I talk to inanimate objects?

Less than a day and a half left of the Giveaway. I hope everyone that would be interested has gotten their chance to sign up. If you haven't, don't fret, I think that I might do this once a month or at least every other month. It seems to be great way to get people to read the synopsis at least. With that, those who sign up and are really interested, put it on their list to read. So there is the potential that if they don't win, they may buy it.Still awaiting the arrival of my web address for my car window. What is there now, is an attention getter. I was at a stop light and looked in my rear view mirror and found two girls in the car behind me taking pictures of it with their phones. I thought to myself – a lost opportunity to have two people take a look, dang web address.www.authorcvhunt.com

Wow...is all that I can say. The response for this has shocked me. Honestly, I thought I would be lucky to get five people to give all the books to. Especially since the approval took longer than I thought, there is less than four days total to sign up for it. At this point and there are already 94 people signed up and 27 people have marked it as a book that they want to read. This may incline me to do more giveaways.

The back window advertising sign didn't go off according to plan.

(The photo is horribly distorted because I took it with my phone.) The website did not transfer well and had to be removed. So all that made it to the window for now is "Where Vampires and Werewolves live", but I think it was for the better. I ordered the website smaller than the catch line and I think I want it the same size. I hope I get it by the weekend.

I was happy to hear from my editor. I sent him a copy and he received it in the mail today.
