December Daily® 2021 | Story 21 + 22
Welcome to Stories #21 and 22 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday and were able to celebrate in a way that was meaningful to you and your family! I'm back today with stories 21 and 22 in my album. I decided to share them together since they are two different sides of one tag and am over here happily working away on the rest of my stories to share with you in the coming days.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And a closer look via images:
The base tag was created for this year's Product Play workshop using a bunch of word/phrase stickers from this year and from past projects. Loved bringing them all together on top of one of the shipping tags from this set. On top of the stickers I cut up a transparent pocket and added it on top with red line tape.
Attacher stickers were used to add this into the rings of my album.
The story I decided to include here was an email from my parents that I'm keeping private for our family. I printed it out on 8.5x11 paper and folded it up and slipped it into the pocket. On top of the tag I added an Avery Index Tab and then used the 6x8 alpha stamp set to add "email love" and the phrase stamp to repeat stamp "sending."
On the outside of the pocket I added one of the speech bubbles from the Main Kit and then brought a couple of the shipping tag bundle tags together using twine.
For my next story I printed out a photo that was meaningful to me. It was a moment captured when everyone had returned back to the house and I could feel the excitement and merriment. I want to identify and cherish and record more of those little moments that make my own heart sing.
I cropped my photo to 4 inches x 8 inches and adhered it to the other side of the tag. On top of the photo I added journaling before printing and then added one of the puffy hearts and number stickers from the Main Kit.

December Daily® 2021 | Story 20
Welcome to Stories #20 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
Today I'm working on the back of Story 19 with a series of 2x2's (3x4 cards punched from the
Main Kit) paired with a Ghostbusters movie poster. I love capturing the small stories of what people were involved in yesterday.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
Today's story is a collection of five things that people around here were doing yesterday - including some of us going to see the new movie Ghostbusters Afterlife (we totally enjoyed it - great for fans of the original movie + a new generation of fans as well).
I used a 2x2 passport punch to punch out the "a story" section of the 3x4 journal cards from the Main Kit. On top of each I added the date with a rolling date stamp + a vellum star from the Sticker Advent Calendar + a few words using a Uniball Vision Elite pen. These were all adhered to the backs of the window cards. I also added one of the chipboard speech bubbles from the Main Kit on the back of one of the window cards.
I did a screen shot of the Ghostbusters movie poster and printed it on my Epson XP15000 (sized to 4.5 inches wide x 8.25 inches tall). On top of that I added a chipboard star from a past Stories By The Month Kit.
I ran this page back through the sewing machine for that zig zag stitch.
I'm off to enjoy my people! Hope you have a wonderful day!

December Daily® 2021 | Story 19
Welcome to Stories #19 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
Today's story is prompted by a page I set up for this year's December Daily® Product Play workshop using a 6x8 transparency + window cards + a "yes, just yes" stamp from the Phrases Stamp Set. This is one of my favorite kinds of foundation pages that invite a specific response/story - in this case I'm talking about what I'm saying "yes" to this week. One of the big things I'm saying yes to is the possibility of snow! You can hear me get all excited about that in the video.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
The window cards were a fun addition to this year's collection that sold out fairly quick. We do have a digital option to make you own available here. To make today's story come to life I took a screen shot of the weather app on my phone which shows the possibility of snow on Christmas Day and printed it out on photo paper and then stitched it to the transparency with a zig zag stitch.
We live in an area where we do get snow in the winter - usually only once and very rarely on Christmas. The excitement about this possibility is palpable.
Inside each of the window cards I wrote what I'm saying "yes" to right now. Such a fun prompt especially here during the week of Christmas.
On top of the printed weather screen shot I added "just yes" using the White Glitter Cardstock Alpha Stickers + a Tim Holtz Label Sticker.
I'm off to enjoy my people! Hope you have a wonderful day!

December Daily® 2021 | Story 18
Welcome to Stories #18 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
Happy Christmas week! I'm really looking forward to this week here at our house with all the kids here and a little more flexible schedule with lots of time for just hanging out together. Today's story is about a volleyball tournament Anna participated in yesterday (
because December is always more than just Christmas). It was a fun, long day and so great to get to watch Anna + cheer on her new team.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
Today's story pairs a full page photo of Anna at her volleyball tournament with a flip sheet of large gold dot vellum + the felt numbers + a hand cut title from one of the
10x8 pattern papers + a glitter star + puffy circles from the Hope Story Kit + journaling strips on the back side.
I used
Tim Holtz Fabric tape on the outside + inside to create the flip up vellum page. I also cut a small strip along the outside so it doesn't interfere with the rings.
When you flip up the vellum page the journaling has been adhered underneath. I used the labels from the Main Kit to hold my journaling and added a canvas phase on top (I ran that one through my sewing machine). On top of the photo I added a Tim Holtz rub on and a glitter star.
A close up look at the journaling strips on the underneath side of the vellum.
Behind the holes in the number 8 I added two circle puffy stickers from the Hope Story Kit. We can always, always use a little more of that.
Here's to a wonderful Christmas week for you and yours.

December Daily® 2021 | Stories 16 + 17
Welcome to Stories #16 + 17 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
Today I'm combining two stories into one post/video. The first one lives on the front of the heart mobile I created last month and the second one lives on the back of that page and stretches out to include a full page photo from Audrey's birthday. You can read more about the creation of the heart page here.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
On the front of my heart mobile page (I stitched rows of plastic hearts on my sewing machine and adhered them between two sheets of pattern paper) I adhered three, 3 inch circles. Two are photos from our book club gift exchange and the third is a simple black circle (all with white borders - I sized my circles a bit smaller so there would be a white border when I punched them out with my circle punch).
On top of the bottom circle I used a small mini brad to attach a "twinkle lights forever" vellum circle from the Glow Story Kit.
Turning the page reveals a full page photo of Audrey + Aaron and another pocket and journal card from the Main Kit. On the outside of the pocket I added a chipboard piece and across the page on top of the photo I added some cork circles from my stash + red label stickers from the Main Kit + chipboard circles from my stash or a stamped #13 for Audrey's age.
I also added puffy stars from the Advent Calendar on top of the plastic hearts in the mobile.
A look at the handwritten journaling telling the story of our family party for Audrey. Along the top I added a tab from the Sticker Advent Calendar.
Hope you are having an awesome weekend!

December Daily® 2021 | Story 15
Welcome to Story #15 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
We've entered the time of this season where my sharing might be a little less consistent compared with the beginning of the month. The kids are coming back to this house today (so excited) and are out of school until the new year and I'm hoping to have a little more flexible schedule this coming week as I celebrate with our family. Thank you so much for your support + understanding + I'm wishing you all the best as we round out the end of this year.
Today's story is about the Advent calendars in our house this year.
Let's dive into the video for today:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
For today's story I used the 1/2 circle die cut insert as the base + jumping off point for the overall shape. Along the outside edges of my 1/2 circle pages I stapled sticker tabs from the Advent calendar using a Tiny Attacher.
I printed two enlarged photos and cut them into the 1/2 circle shape and punched holes using the We R Memory Keepers Hole Punch. On top of each photo I added a pleather puffy heart from the Main Kit. I'll be printing another photo enlargement for the last page (the one on the other side of the photo of Anna) once I take a photo of Simon with his calendar.
To go along with the 1/2 circle shape I trimmed a journal card. On top I used a rolling date stamp and then two different pen weights for my journaling and added a couple small gold stars between the date stamping.
I also printed a third photo that was adhered to the back of the journal card. On top of the photo I added one of the canvas phrases (I ran it through the sewing machine before adhering).
I always have fun with these 1/2 circle and full circle pages. Love the variety it brings into the page sizes in the album.

Things to expect in this 12-month workshop in 2022:
Guest instructors who will bring their own unique voices to the monthly prompts. Some prompts will be similar to year's past and others will be new. I picked instructors specifically based on their own areas of passion/interest and I'm empowering all of them to share their own experiences + create their own prompts if that makes sense for them. A live monthly conversation where the Guest Instructor and I will talk about the prompt, how it's going with their word, and take questions from the community. All chats will be recorded + shared in the classroom. The day/time for these conversations will be determined later. A mid-month check in where team members will share their experience with the monthly prompt. A private Facebook group for community + conversation + connection. A weekly thought-filled Monday email message from either Ali or the Guest Instructors. Monthly PDF handout + process videos that outline the prompt each month and dive deeper into a way that specific way to connect with your word. One Little Word® Digital Main Kit (available upon registration in the classroom). Value $14.49. A wonderful, wholehearted passionate community of people living with their own word right alongside you.
Interested in seeing what these albums look like from past years? Check out a video walk-through here.
Here's a video overview of the collection:
Here's a look at the product images:
This year's Main Kit includes 3x4 journal cards, 6x8 prompt pages, chipboard hearts, monthly plastic frames, paper die cuts, a 6x8 chipboard sheet, fabric patches, fabric circles, vellum butterflies/hearts/flowers, and canvas phrases.
The digital version of the Main Kit is included with the One Little Word® workshop.
A couple years ago we introduced a new product option for One Little Word®. Purchasing the first One Little Word® Mini Kit commits you to an "auto-shipment" + charge of the remaining three kits at the time of their shipping. The remaining three kits will be charged + shipped on/around 3/15/21, 6/15/21, 9/15/21.
You can see the Mini Kits that were offered in 2020 and 2021 here.
We hope that spreading out the kits throughout the course of the year will do two things: (1) help keep you continue to connect to your word by giving you products you can use as you make your word visible in your album throughout the year, and (2) spread out the cost over the course of the year rather than a bigger purchase all at once (since we totally get that this is a busy time for spending).
The Mini Kits will ship free for domestic customers/$4 for international customers. The Mini Kit is excluded from the shipping threshold minimum for the shipping special.
If any kits remain after we've shipped to subscribers then we will add them to the shop for $30.
For 2022 we have bundled the page protectors + monthly dividers together with the 6x8 album. This year the dividers are plastic with the monthly tabs along the top.
We've heard from some members of our One Little Word® community that they would like a different option for documenting their experience with their word. This was a popular option last year! We know not everyone who participates in this project considers themselves a "scrapbooker" and this might be a wonderful option if you find yourself in that camp or maybe you just want to try something different this year.
The Pleather Folio comes with a blank notebook and we are offering those separately this year as well.
A popular offering last year was our updated stitched journal. For 2022 we moved some of the prompts around in the inside but it remains largely the same from last year.
If you are interested in both the folio + the stitched journal we have a bundle option for that.
Please note: For 2022 we aren't able to offer the custom acrylic words as in past years. If you are looking for a cut out word we highly recommend our friend Colleen Attara.
DIGITAL WORDS: While we are not able to offer custom digital words at this time, we do have a large catalog of handwritten digital words and it's totally possible your word might be there. Check it out here.

December Daily® 2021 | Story 14
Welcome to Story #14 in my
December Daily® album for 2021.
For today's story I'm using the prompt "this year" as I tell the story of our tree and some things I'm looking forward to over the next week.
Let's dive into the video:
And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:
Today's story is built on a 10 inch x 8 inch foundation. In Photoshop I created a new 10 inch x 8 inch canvas and added my photo and typed up my journaling before printing on my
Epson XP15000 printer. I love simple grid foundations like this one that has a specific home for a photo, a specific home for journaling, and a specific home for some playful embellishments.
Included in this year's
Main Kit are a set of painted wood veneer houses. Today I had an idea to flip those over and add some Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs (similar) on top to customize the look (a nice option for anyone who wants a more muted color scheme or if you are simply looking for something else to play around with). You could also totally add the rub ons on top of the main side of the houses too or you could paint them or you could add ribbon or you could layer a bunch of washi (so many options).
After adding the rub ons I added washi tape along the bottom and ran one of the canvas strips through my sewing machine before adhering the whole piece with red line tape on top of some gold dot vellum.
Words + a photo + a couple embellishments for the win!
