Book Signing at The Beehive, this Friday!! With a make and take craft =0)

April 19, 2013 • Book Signing with Jen Carson

(posted to BEEZ in the Belfry Blog)

Join us at The BeeHive on April 19th, from 5-8pm, for a Book Signing with Jennifer Carson.

Jen is excited to present her newest book, Beyond Bears – How to draw, design and sew your own stuffed animals. She’ll be demonstrating how to make a tiny bear head pin from the book. Copies of the new book, as well as her previous adventure books, To Find a Wonder and Hapenny Magick, will be available for sale.

If you cannot make it to the book signing party, but would like to purchase a copy of Jen’s new book, you can get it from her Etsy shop online. Be sure to ask her to sign it because she is getting famous and all her books will be valuable some day. If they had super heroes in the magical world, Jen would be Wonder Woman. But Jen’s not a super hero because the cape would get in the way of her wings…

Note: If you are new to my blog or can’t quite remember who Jen is… take a look at my blog post from last March. This party is all Jen’s and there won’t be a giant castle cake, but other than that, it will be great!

I heard rumors of teddy bear cupcakes…

New Pattern Ordering Options on Etsy! And Beyond Bears Update

If you’ve been to my store on Etsy lately, you might have noticed that there is a new option! Now you can digitally download your pattern purchase directly from my Etsy store, and you’ll always have access to them. So, if your computer crashes or you accidently toss the file when cleaning out your hard drive, all you have to do is log in to your Etsy account and it is waiting for you. Cool, huh?  The only drawback, some patterns are too large of a file to include in this service, but most of my patterns meet the file size limit.

The cover of Beyond Bears

I’ve received my proof of Beyond Bears and I’m combing over it to make sure that I have caught all the little oopsies that happen when you lay out a book. You can pre-order your copy from my Etsy store and it will be mailed out to you as soon as I receive the final copies, which should be in about 2 weeks. Be the first of your sewing friends to own Beyond Bears and 6 new sewing patterns– which won’t be sold separately!

I’ll be drawing the name of the lucky winner of the Sunshine Dragon soon too, so keep watch on the blog!

Meet Kirstin Pulioff, Author of The Escape of Princess Madeline

TheEscape_04Kirstin’s favorite part of reading fantasy is the hope the stories inspire.  The ability to suspend belief for a moment, believe in dreams, know that good will always triumph over evil, that Prince Charming is waiting around the corner, and that the only type of endings are happy ones.  She loves writing fantasy because it gives her the opportunity to escape into a world where anything can happen, and transport my readers to a land of make believe, dreams, and adventure.

Read Kirstin’s book The Escape of Princess Madeline.Available at Amazon & Barnes&Noble in paperback or e-book.

The Kingdom of Soron is known for many things, its rolling landscape, haunting history, fiery sunsets, and its beautiful princess. Princess Madeline woke on her sixteenth birthday to realize that her future had been planned out, a life full of privilege, royalty, and boredom… a life with a husband and knight champion that she did not choose. Using her charm, strength and stubbornness, she defies the King at every turn, determined to keep her freedom on her terms.

Freedom quickly turns to disaster as she finds herself seized by a group of wandering bandits. With the kingdom in turmoil over her capture- her Knight Champion eager to prove himself, a group of dedicated suitors determined to win her hand, and a group of exiled wizards join forces in the hunt to rescue her. Follow Princess Madeline in this adventure to find freedom and love.

Bio:

Alyssa Auch was born and raised in Pennsylvania with loving parents and three hilarious younger siblings. Her imagination was sparked by the lush, green forests and bright colors of her home that often spoke of other worlds only found in the magic of writing. Currently, Alyssa is a senior at Brigham Young University-Idaho studying Marriage and Family Relations with a minor in English. She is married to her High School sweetheart, and they have three beautiful children who keep them both very occupied. Meet Rebecca Hamilton, Author of The Forever Girl

Her Sweetest Downfall

Her Sweetest Downfall is a short story/novella of 30,000 words. This is not a novel/full-length read, but works as a companion novel to THE FOREVER GIRL, Rebecca Hamilton’s bestselling paranormal fantasy debut.

Ophelia’s been successful at hiding her true identity, until the mark of the serpent appears on her neck—a death sentence, should it be seen by anyone in her town. Hiding the mark might save her from falling victim to the witch hunts of her era, but the scorching sensation it carries can’t be ignored.

When the mysterious Ethan is sent to collect her for a life of something more, she learns concealing the mark is the least of her worries. She’s destined to don a new mask—to join a dark, supernatural world and protect the future of people she may never meet.

What she doesn’t know—what she learns too late—is that her initiation won’t be complete until she kills the man she loves.

Set in an alternate Regency England, “Her Sweetest Downfall” is a standalone novella in the “Forever Girl” series, written as a gift to fans of the Forever Girl series.

HER SWEETEST DOWNFALL will appeal to lovers of paranormal romance, fantasy, and vampire fiction.

The Forever Girl

The Forever Girl by Rebecca Hamilton

“Whatever you do, fight.”

Sophia’s family has skeletons, but they aren’t in their graves.

At twenty-two, practicing Wiccan Sophia Parsons is scratching out a living waiting tables in her Rocky Mountain hometown, a pariah after a string of unsolved murders with only one thing in common: her.

Sophia can imagine lots of ways to improve her life, but she’d settle for just getting rid of the buzzing noise in her head. When the spell she casts goes wrong, the static turns into voices. Her personal demons get company, and the newcomers are dangerous.

One of them is a man named Charles, who Sophia falls for despite her better judgment. He has connections that might help her unveil the mystery surrounding her ancestor’s hanging, but she gets more than she bargains for when she finally decides to trust him.

Survival in his world, she learns, means not asking questions and staying out of the immortal council’s way. It’s a line she crossed long ago. If Sophia wants to survive the council and save the people she loves, she must accept who she is, perform dark magic, and fight to the death for her freedom.

The Forever Girl is a full-length Paranormal Fantasy novel that will appeal to lovers of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, witches, vampire fiction, ghost stories, paranormal mystery, and paranormal horror.
