hey leigh! siege and storm was amazing, i was just wondering why tolya and tamar have different last names (yul-baatar and kir-baatar)? is it some male/female thing? i'm so excited to see you at the fierce reads tour on june 19! :)
“Yul” = “son of”
“Kir” = “daughter of”
If you remember in Shadow and Bone, Botkin’s full name is Botkin Yul-Erdene :)

I am IN LOVE with Tolya. Will we see more of him in the third book? TAMAR TOO!!! do you know who will play him in the movie? did you have actors in mind for the twins when you wrote them.
This makes me SO happy. I love me some Tolya, and yes, you will see more of him and Tamar in Ruin and Rising.
I don’t usually have actors in mind when creating characters, but if you check out the Siege and Storm board on Pinterest, you’ll see some of my inspiration images.

So I can’t drive the 45 minutes to Tampa to see, Leigh Bardugo and get my book signed.
I am trying to find someone to cover this shift. But no one wants to close.

True friendship is when a much anticipated book comes out, and your preordered copy arrives, and you DON’T TOUCH IT because you promised to read it later—DAYS later—with your friends, for one of your friend’s birthday.
Yesss on Saturday, for Jenn’s birthday, we’re all going to sit around and read Siege and Storm. That’s it. That’s the party.
It’s going to be AWESOME.
