Hyperborea by Vsevolod Ivanov.
This was cool to come across though initially confusing. The Vsevolod Ivanov I knew of was a writer, and I couldn’t figure out what these paintings had to do with his work. Turns out that was Vsevolod Vyacheslavovich Ivanov, but there’s also a fantasy artist named Vsevolod Borisovich Ivanov who does these crazy mythology mashup paintings heavily rooted in Slavic myth. So there you have it.
(But I got excited cuz that looks like a whole bunch of Etherealki and Corporalki getting ready to set sail. In fancy hats.)

We certainly made our feelings known back in February with regards to the cover for Altered by Jennifer Rush. And while we didn’t think it could be done, the cover design team has cooked up an even better look for the paperback which comes out in December.
(Plus the new cover looks smolderingly fantastic next to the cover for the sequel, Erased, out in January.)
New ALTERED and ERASED covers! WOOOT! I, of course, looooove them.

Daaang. Y’all have dark hearts. I approve.

Alina Sarkov from Shadow and Bone. Been meaning to do this for a while. Did a lot of research on their kefkas and just working out what she would look like.
Spoilers: First sketch set is her in the beginning of the book, where her skin and features are less than beautiful and she is super self conscience from keeping her powers bottled up. Second set is while she’s at the Little Palace and her skin is improving while she improves her powers—also her hair grows out from being there. I imagine that while she’s on the run with Mal she cuts her hair again chin length to symbolize her returning to her old self out of the view of the grisha.
Next up is the Darkling. I had a hard time having a set image of him while I was reading it, so this will be interesting.
Oh wow! I just adore this. Whimsical, elegant, gorgeous

A collaboration with the great Dilraj Mann for his zine, STRØKE. He drew the girl (he draws the best girls), I drew the dude and dropped in the colors. A two color screenprint of this (on colored paper) will be available at SPX in just a couple weeks! Ahh!
