SO clever. And so spectacularly false.
So, if Alina, Mal, The Darkling, Genya and Nicolai belonged to the 21th century, what kind of music would they listen to, which books would they read and which movies would they watch?
Wow. I love this question so much, but it’s a lot for my little brain tonight. The one thing I can be certain of is that Nikolai would be a huge Bowie fan.
And now I’m imagining Grisha Trilogy college AU: “Let’s all wear cute sweaters and MAKE WAR.”

#that moment when you are so proud of a character #because she is so strong and perfect and so amazing #because she actually accepts her darkness, she lets it overcome her and she does not run from it #because she is flawed and she has evil inside of her which gives her character #and because she knows that when she accepts it, although scared, she can save thousands #because she is strong enough to fight a man #because she can overcome the worst #because she is a powerful character #because she should be someone young girls look up to #because she is strong and beautiful #because she is willing to end her life in order to save many #she is willing to end her life for people she doesnt even know #and for people like Zoya, who put her down whenever she got the chance #for people like Genya, who betrayed her #for people who overlooked her #for the king #for the queen #for everyone she loves and she does not#and she does it despite her fears and despite what anyone else says #THAT ladies and gentlemen is beautiful #that is why she is one of the best heroines I have ever read about
