Comus - FREE on Amazon Today through 5/31
The massive sun sets.
Sunlight retreats from the land.
The dense, darkening forest is almost silent. Beyond the typical sounds found in nature are rustlings.
And something else.
Male and female voices.
Laughing.
Cursing.
Howling.
Then . . . light.
Two dozen monsters appear, holding torches and bottles of alcohol. Their heads are not human – theirs are beasts-heads, tigers, hogs, goats. Their bodies are human, barely clothed in soiled rags.
At the rear of the pack is Comus, a striking man in either his twenties or two hundreds. He is handsome and kind-looking. At one angle, he appears cherub-like. In another, devilish.
He holds a gold staff with a bright gold arrow headpiece. In his other hand is an empty crystal glass.
Comus is not as jovial as the others, but his mood is still light as he smiles at his followers’ frivolities.
Escorting him are three nude women with animal heads – Serpent, Hound, and Hawk. The women’s fingers are not idle.

The Adventures of Silver Torpedo - FREE on Amazon Today through 5/31
The warehouse district of Silver City . . .
"Halt!" Silver Torpedo yelled at the fleeing perps. The three hoods in their ratty clothes ignored our silver star-spangled hero and continued deeper into the maze of warehouses.
I can't lose them, Silver Torpedo thought. They have the Transforming Atmospheric Module. And if that should fall into the wrong hands . . . .
He pumped his toned legs harder, seemingly floating off the ground in his pursuit. The gap between hero and hoods was closing.
Torpedo couldn't see the stolen device in any of their hands. It wasn't big, about the size of a music box, so it could fit in their jacket pockets. He hoped they had the gadget on them. If they didn't, then this chase was pointless. The Module would already be in the wrong hands.
Torpedo rounded a corner, a few yards from his prey.
The hoods were gone.
"I couldn't have lost them," he said. There were no hiding places in the wide alley with steel warehouses looming on both sides. No open doors.
They couldn't have sneaked inside a warehouse, he thought. I was right behind them.
Something struck Silver Torpedo's jaw. Hard. But not hard enough to knock him down or back a step. Another shot to his rock-hard stomach.
But there was no one in sight!

The Reason You Lack Motivation
We all have days where we don't want to go to work or do other things that aren't appealing. Some of us have more of these days than others do.
The remedy?
There is none.
There's no magic spell that can get your butt in gear. There's no sense in analyzing the situation because the situation is quite clear.
You're the reason you lack motivation.
HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF
You can read motivational quotes and listen to motivational songs all day long. Do you know what you could have been doing in the meantime?
Doing what you've been putting off because you'd rather waste your time doing something else!
Most motivational speakers won't tell you this truth because they want you to buy their books or attend their workshops. They want to sell you motivational hacks that are just common sense.
No amount of motivational speeches is going to make you spring into action. Hell, this blog post won't budge you either.
Some people have the drive to get stuff done. Those people are usually successful in life and worthy of envy. Some people have this drive and some don't.
Call it willpower or whatever you like. It doesn't matter what a motivation synonym is. It's not a secret trick or superpower.
The motivation definition is simply: do.
WHAT TO DO AFTER ACCEPTING YOU'RE THE REASON YOU LACK MOTIVATION
Once you accept the reason you lack motivation, you can take a strong look at yourself and determine if you're living the life you want. If not, then start making moves to change it. If you create excuses about how you can't change, then you never will. Placing blame on everyone but yourself won't solve anything either.
The point is you have to get out of your own way and do. If you can't, then what's the point in living?
