Advent Readalong
Dear Everyone,
I have been hosting Easter and Advent Readalongs for the past couple of years. This year, I’ve chosen “God is in the Manger” by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran pastor and theologian, who was a member of the Resistance movement during World War II. He was imprisoned in 1943 by the Nazis and later executed. He’s well-known in theological circles for his work, “The Cost of Discipleship,” which had a profound effect on me and many others. There are several films about his life, one of which you can discover more about here, which releases December 6th.
In “God is in the Manger,” we will explore a series of readings drawn from Bonhoeffer’s sermons and writings. We will begin our first reading on December 1st, the first day of Advent, and continue for forty days into 2025. You can join me by reading the ebook or the paperback edition. You may be able to find the paperback in your local library. I wanted to be sure to post my choice early enough for everyone around the world to source the book in time for December 1st.
I’ll be posting reflections on the readings here on my blog. I welcome your participation and your comments. I should mention that you don’t have to celebrate Advent in order to join me; this is an inclusive readalong and all are welcome.

“Gabriel’s Redemption DVDs now available
Dear Everyone,
Passionflix has announced that they are preparing to ship pre-ordered “Gabriel’s Redemption” DVDs. The DVDs are still available for purchase in the Passionflix store.
Also, Passionflix has announced an increase in their monthly subscription rate for new subscribers. This rate will not apply to current subscribers, except if one cancels the subscription and then re-subscribes.

The bestseller list is of Erotic BDSM fiction. I don’t think that’s quite the right category for the novel, but I’m grateful for the support of readers.

“Gabriel’s Inferno” Ebook on sale – UK
Dear Everyone,
I’m pleased to announce that my British publisher has placed the “Gabriel’s Inferno” ebook on sale for only 99p, for a limited time. You can find the book for Kindle in the Amazon UK store.
Also, this is just a reminder that the “Gabriel’s Redemption” DVDs are available for pre-order from Passionflix. They ship worldwide. The DVDs will include the Gabriel Series montage that aired at the end of Part 3.
And “The Roman,” which is the final book in my completed Florentine Series, was re-released in ebook and paperback across platforms.

“Gabriel’s Redemption” DVDs available for Pre-Order

Passionflix has made the “Gabriel’s Redemption” DVDs available for pre-order. You can order the DVDs here. Passionflix’s DVDs do not have country restrictions, and so they play on DVD players worldwide. Passionflix ships internationally.
If you missed the “Gabriel’s Inferno” DVDs you can order them here. And you can find the “Gabriel’s Rapture” DVDs here.
If you haven’t read the books yet, they are widely available, in ebook, paperback and audiobook. As are my other series, “The Florentine Series.” “The Roman,” which is the last book in the Florentine Series, has been re-released on ebook and in paperback.

Happy Easter
Dear Everyone,
Happy Easter to everyone celebrating. Peace be with you all.
Yesterday, I completed the Lenten reading of “The Way of a Pilgrim,” and “The Pilgrim Continues his Way.” I’m very grateful to all of you who joined me on this journey, and especially those who took the time to post comments and reflections here and on social media. Thank you.
This book has encouraged me to simplify my life and to focus on prayer. It has provided a lot of wisdom on how to approach prayer and even how to pray. Although I’d read the book before, I found myself learning several new things as I re-read the pages.
Phil Keaggy has recorded several songs inspired by “The Way of a Pilgrim,” which you can listen to here.
“The Roman” paperback has been re-released. You can find it here. I will post when the ebook becomes available again.

Lenten Readalong 6
Dear Everyone,
It’s Palm Sunday. I want to wish everyone a very blessed Holy Week. Thank you again for joining me on this Lenten journey. This past week, we completed Chapter 5 and so this week, we will be reading Chapter 6, which is in “The Pilgrim Continues his Way.”
I’m continuing to reflect on the importance of simplicity and perseverance – simplifying life and prayer and persevering in both. I’m also reflecting on the importance of being open to change when our plans don’t work out, and how important it is to be open to the people who come into our life. There’s been lots to ponder over this Lenten journey, and I’m hoping to continue those reflections and apply what I’ve learned at Easter and beyond.
I welcome your comments and reflections. On Easter Sunday, I’ll be reading the final chapter of “The Pilgrim Continues his Way,” and I ask you to join me in that, as well.
Thank you for coming into my life. Peace be with you all.
