About Us

Steven W. Booth, Publisher I started Genius Publishing for many reasons, but the primary one is, I love books. I love the look and feel of them, I love the experience of reading them, I love talking about them. I love making stories up, and I love when people read my stories. Books, in my opinion, are good. (It doesn’t hurt that I was raised by a librarian, either). Another reason that I created Genius Publishing is that I’m really good at making books. I have been doing print layout since 1989, and I have been building websites for over a decade (e-books, for those of you who don’t know, are mini-websites). When it comes to novels, I will put my e-books and print layouts up against any challenger, confident that my work will stand up to the best of the best. I earned my BA in Economics at UC Santa Cruz because I always knew that one day I’d be working for myself. I earned my MBA in Nonprofit Management because I love working with people who are excited about what they do (and volunteers are almost always excited about their work—hence the non-profit part). I earned my MA [...]

I’m Not Guilty Book Release

When: February 15, 2013 (all-day)

Dr. Al Carlisle's new novel, I'm Not Guilty, is releasing officially in all channels on February 15, 2013. The first in The Development of the Violent Mind series, I'm Not Guilty is a hypothetical conversation between Dr. Carlisle and the notorious serial killer, Ted Bundy, on the day before his execution in Florida in 1989. What if there had been one final interview? What if Ted Bundy had actually opened up about his heinous crimes? Dr. Carlisle takes his extensive experience with the criminal mind as well as his intimate understanding of Ted Bundy---with whom he had extensive interviews---to create a Roman a clef reconstruction of Bundy's life. The second part of the book is a factual overview of what is truly known about Bundy and his transformation from a normal child to a serial killer who murdered more than 30 young women in the late '60s and early '70s. I'm Not Guilty will be available in paperback and ebook formats from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and iBookstore.
