At a time when many victims of the Nazis were powerless, this...

At a time when many victims of the Nazis were powerless, this young girl refused to be silenced. Anne Frank documented her thoughts and feelings while in hiding for two long years, until she was captured and sent to her death at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in the spring of 1945.

Today Penguin Random House and the Anne Frank Trust UK invite us to remember her by keeping her voice alive via one-minute videos like this one. Instead of observing a moment of silence in honor of her death, we’re going to make sure Anne’s voice is heard loudly around the world, inspiring us all to make a stand together against the challenges of prejudice, discrimination and injustices. We will together be #notsilent! ❤️️

Anne Frank’s voice was silenced in the spring of 1945, but it lives on in her writing and her words. Penguin Random House and The Anne Frank Trust UK are making sure her voice is still heard with their #notsilent campaign. Instead of honoring Anne’s death with one minute of silence, videos like this are meant to honor her life and remind us we can all make a stand against the challenges of prejudice, discrimination and injustices. We will together be #notsilent ❤️️

Signing books and meeting readers is always the very best part of an event. They make me lovely, as Finch would say.
