News &tc

Fool's Gold has been out for a few weeks, now, and has been getting a lot of positive response. I'm so happy people are enjoying it, although predictably, folks are divided about the ending. Bound to happen, I suppose, with a high-stakes, all-or-nothing ending =) Anyway, I consider it the best book of the series (so far), and I hope more people will read and enjoy it. If you haven't picked it up yet, what are you waiting for?

And in just a few weeks, it'll be time for my fun summer novella, The Strange Case of the Big Sur Benefactor, a humorous tale of a pair of unlikely cryptid hunters, set in 19th century California. Coming from BSB in June.

Also be on the lookout for my story "About a Dog," in Mischief Corner Books Quarterly, No.2, coming in July. MCB Quarterly is a new publication featuring LGBTQ fiction, nonfiction, and art.

Finally, the long-awaited Death and a Cup of Tea is here! Technically, we're releasing it at CCWC in June, but a box of them arrived on my doorstep last week, and they're *gorgeous*! You can pre-order yours at Elm Books right now, or wait for the others to catch up =)

Countdown!

The countdown to April continues!

I've been tweeting little snips every day, and there have been some gems, so check it out @jessfaraday =)

Have also commissioned some delicious artwork from the unbelievably talented Catherine Dair to celebrate the release. Now, I won't be releasing *that* until closer to the date =)

Awards Season

And Turnbull House has even gotten a few nods!

First, Turnbull House was designated a Runner up for a Rainbow Award.

Now The Novel Approach has named Turnbull House as one of it's Best of 2014.

If you liked TH, or any of my other books, why not give it some Goodreads love? Reviews sell books, so take a few minutes and give your favorite authors the holiday present of a review!

Finally, I've sold a short story to Mischief Corner Books. It's called "About a Dog," and involves a wisecracking lady gumshoe, a little lost doggie, and a lizard man straight from the Shufelt Tunnel.
