Movie Tuesday

This weekend I watched Pacific Rim.

I didn't enjoy it as much as say Transformers, but for a movie about giant robots fighting giant godzilla monsters, it was entertaining. There was even some semblance of plot, which was entirely unexpected.

It also made me laugh, maybe not always when I was supposed to laugh, but still, laughing is a good thing.

I also watched Shark Avalanche. This one isn't quite on the epic level of Sharknado, but damn, it was in the right so bad it's funny zone.

If I had to rewatch one, it would be Transformers ;)

Spot the Difference now out!

Having both recently left Doms who just weren’t right for them, twins Christopher and Robin get together at a coffee house to commiserate. They can’t help but wish out loud for the men they’re looking for. These ideal men are as different as the twins are alike, though, and they lament ever finding two Doms to fit the bill.

When barista Core asks Robin to go to dinner with him after hearing his wishlist, Christopher can’t help but be jealous of his twin. That soon changes, however, when Darren approaches his table with a few wishes of his own.

Can Christopher and Robin really both find exactly what they’re looking for on the same night? Or is it too big a coincidence to be real?

Pick it up here (currently at 35% off!)

“Christopher!” Robin waved madly at his twin through the window of the Dark Grounds.

His brother looked up, and the smile he got matched his exactly. Oh, God. Three months. Three months since they’d been together and that was insane. Crazy. Wrong. Ten thousand texts a day couldn’t fix that.

He hurried in and they wrapped around each other, hugging tight. “Oh, God. Missed you. Life sucks!”

Christie just laughed at him. “It didn’t suck when you were shacking up with that Master Dorkface.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

Harry had been sweet, but… Not enough. Dear. Gentle. An older man who really wanted someone to take care of him. Robin had thought he could make it work, but… Not so much with that.

“So what happened? Did you decide you wanted to be whipped daily after all and he balked?”

“Butthead. He wasn’t… You know how it is.” Robin was a bit of a pain slut, one hell of a size queen, but he didn’t need to be dominated like his twin. He just needed a good hard fucking a few times a day and a spanking to start things off right. That wasn’t weird, was it?

“He wasn’t what you needed.” Christopher nodded and Robin knew his twin understood exactly how it was.

“No. You still seeing Mac?” Mac was sweet and wonderful and wealthy and perfect and a little bit of a dishrag, and Robin was surprised Christopher had gone for him at all.

“No. No, I introduced him to Vic. They hit it off like whoa.”

It looked like they were both footloose and fancy free again.

Christopher sighed. “Maybe we’re being too picky…”

“Yeah. No one wants…me.”

Christie nodded at his words. “Or me.”

Robin rolled his eyes. “So no one wants us. You want a huge slice of cake and a mocha?”

“God, yes. Chocolate is better than…”

“Sex,” they finished together.

Laughing, they went to the counter and ordered two mochas and a big assed piece of lemon cake. By the time they’d finished the cake, they were teasing each other, recalling some of the experiences they’d had.

“You remember when you went to that leather daddy club and ended up wearing that feathered jock strap?”

Robin stared at him. “We swore never to bring that up again, Christie!”

“Oh, I have pictures.” Christopher looked smug.

Robin tilted his head, considering. “Who would know it was me and not you?”

They looked at each other and started howling with laughter.

Christopher rubbed his eyes. “You know what we should do? We should write each other personal ads. Who knows what we like better than us?”
Robin chuckled and leaned back. “Okay, I’ll go first. Pushy little bottom needs strict discipline and a firm hand. Sucks like a dream. Responds to punishment and praise.”

Christopher cracked up, applauding. “Very nice.” Then his twin pondered. “Okay, yours. Sassy pain slut needs daily beatings and hourly fuckings. Only men of size need apply.”

“Perfect. Now we just need answers from men who are not axe murders or psycho freaks.” Because that was always the worry, especially with hard core needs.

“That could be a problem.” Christie made a face.

“Yeah.” Robin stirred his coffee. “It’s us, isn’t it?”

Christie sighed, grabbed his hand and squeezed. “Probably, yeah. I just walked away from the nicest man on earth.”

“But he wasn’t right for you.” That had to count for something, didn’t it?

“No. I would have ended up being mean to him and he deserved better.”

They looked at each other and Christie finally nodded. “We should do it. I bet there’s a BDSM singles board or something where we can advertise.”
“I don’t know.” Robin shrugged. “Maybe? How do you know if it’s safe?”

“I know, but… I don’t want to be alone all my life, Ro.”

“You have me…”

“Oh, Ro-Ro.” Christie wrapped around him in a tight hug. “Of course I’ll have you. And I would die without you. But I want someone who can give me the stuff you can’t, you know?”

Guardian Angel re-released today!

Country singer Daniel “Dusty” Young can’t understand why anyone would want him dead, or why anyone would think he’s important enough to kidnap. So it comes as a complete surprise when attempts are made on his life and he’s appointed Rafe, a G-man guardian angel. Rafe is determined to protect Daniel, even from himself, but it’s not an easy job.

When Rafe finally takes Daniel off to the middle of nowhere, it gives them time to pursue other things, like each other. Too much R&R might just make them sloppy, though, and sloppy could get them killed. Can they survive fighting for their lives and falling in love?

It' available here!

“Is your lip okay?” Rafe asked. The ointment seemed to have done a good job getting down the swelling, but it still looked a little sore.

“It’s a little tender. Nothing worth worrying over.”

God, the man’s eyes were blue. Real blue.

“Then I guess I’m not going to freak.” Rafe leaned in a little, eyes watching Daniel’s get closer. There were a lot of reasons why this wasn’t a good idea. Then Daniel’s tongue slid over his lips, soft and right, like fire. Oh, man. Then there was the reason it was. He made a sound, soft and needy, fingers curling in Daniel’s pocket.

“Mmmhmm. So fucking pretty.” Daniel pushed the kiss a little deeper, tongue slipping past Rafe’s lips.

He wasn’t pretty. And he might have said so, except Daniel’s tongue was in his mouth, and it was so hot. He moaned, his mouth opening up and letting Daniel in. He’d been kissed before, but this? This was warm and slow, controlled. It was like Daniel was tasting him and feeling him and offering him something really good all at once. Another not whimper pushed from him and his free hand reached out, finding Daniel’s hip and holding on.

Daniel moaned, the sound vibrating Rafe’s lips. Oh, God. Oh, God. He moved his fingers, touching the tip of Daniel’s cock again through his pocket.

“That’s it. Damn, Angel. That’s just fine.”

“Name’s Rafe,” he whispered, though just now it didn’t seem very important. No, not important at all.

“Mmmhmm. Rafe. Rafael. Pretty Angel. Kiss me again.”

“Okay.” He didn’t argue the point that he wasn’t pretty and Angel wasn’t his name. He didn’t argue the point that it had been Daniel kissing him. He just pushed their lips back together again, his tongue sliding past Daniel’s lips this time.

Daniel opened, let him in, sucked on his tongue, just humming away.

Rafe shivered, his cock going all the way hard, making him push against Daniel. That made the hums louder, the suction harder. Fuck, he needed, wanted. He pushed harder against Daniel, hands pulling Daniel toward him.

Daniel pressed close, entire body rubbing against Rafe. Hard cock rubbing against him.

“Oh, God. I want you.” Rafe spoke without thinking.

“There’s two beds. Pick one. Food’ll wait.”

Rafe pushed Daniel back, going down with him, his finger still stuck in Daniel’s pocket. Daniel’s sore hand stayed up out of the way, his other hand stroking over Rafe’s head and tugging him closer. Rafe rubbed them together, his cock aching as he slid against Daniel’s body.

“Let me feel you. Skin on skin. Come on,” Daniel urged.

Rafe nodded, tugging his hand out of Daniel’s pocket. Rolling to the side, he started on the buttons of Daniel’s shirt. Daniel’s chest was lightly muscled, nipples flat and pale beneath the thin t-shirt, broad shoulders leading down into a tiny waist.

“Oh, you’re the pretty one. Well…handsome. You’re gorgeous.” He popped the top button of Daniel’s jeans, looking up into the blue eyes to make sure it was still all right.

“Just a singer. You? Fuck, you’ve got promise.”

“What am I promising?” Rafe asked, smiling as his fingers slid on Daniel’s skin. So hot and smooth, little hairs just above the waistband catching on his fingertips.

“Mmm… Pleasure, Angel.” Daniel responded to every touch, moving like no lover Rafe had ever had.

He slid his hands back up to tease the pretty pink nipples, watching as they hardened up for his fingers. He knew he was blushing, but Daniel’s words made him warm, too. Hot.

“Men could write songs about those fingers, I swear.” Daniel pressed up against Rafe, hard and wanting.

“Hey, you don’t have to make stuff up. I’m kind of a sure thing, here.”

“Good. Lose the shirt? Let me see?” Daniel leaned up, nuzzling into Rafe’s neck.

“Yeah.” Rafe nodded, sitting up to tug off the damned denim jacket and pull off the black T-shirt that went with it.

“Oh, look at that belly…” Daniel reached out with his good hand, petting and stroking and moaning.

Rafe’s muscles rippled beneath Daniel’s touch. He worked out; it was nice to have it noticed. He leaned back down slowly, mouth pressing against Daniel’s again, fingers sliding on Daniel’s skin.

Oh, man. They fit together well, belly to belly, one of Daniel’s legs wrapped around Rafe’s. He moaned into Daniel’s mouth, tongue sneaking back in between Daniel’s lips.

He could feel the heat of Daniel’s cock pressing against his own through too many layers of denim. “I want more,” he told Daniel.

“Hell, yes. I’m all about more.” Daniel nipped and sucked Rafe’s lips.

Rafe moaned and started working on Daniel’s zipper, trying hard not to bump or catch the man’s prick.

Fuck. Daniel was wet-tipped and hard, prick pushing out toward Rafe’s hand. He gasped softly, fingers sliding over the head, picking up the slightly sticky liquid.

“Mmm…yeah. Right there. Right fucking there.”

Rafe nodded, pushing his index finger against the leaking slit, his breath catching in his throat. A dull flush rushed up Daniel’s belly, sexy as anything. Rafe dropped his fingers to circle just the head, squeezing slightly and then moving up and down.

God, Daniel was hot, silky.

Movie Day Tuesday!

This weekend I finally had a chance to see The Hobbit II: The Desolation of Smaug.

I don't know if I just wasn't quite in the right mood for it, but I didn't find it nearly as good as the first movie. Oh, don't get me wrong -- I enjoyed it and I thought it was good. It just wasn't as good. Maybe my expectations were too high after the first one.

I think part of it might have been that I disliked too many of the characters this time around. From the Elf King to Thorin to pretty much everyone at Lake-town. Now, the skin-changer, him I liked (I may have a bias for were-creatures *grins*). And is there some way the Dragon can be redeemed? (why yes, were-creatures and dragons...)

However, the music was grand, the scenery was grander, and I did enjoy watching it. I shall probably have to watch it again (with the first one) to see if it wasn't just that I choose the wrong time to watch it.

Oh, speaking of music, I absolutely love the song that played at the very end over the credits -- I See Fire. It just seemed a little misplaced in a movie (franchise) that was otherwise very classical in it's music.

Anyway, I'm glad I saw it and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one!

My God It's Monday!

I am excited to be taking part in All Romance Ebooks' Bad Boys series coming in May!

My book, The Millionaire's Mistake, will be coming out on May 20!

Is it too late to win back the heart of the man he loves?

When Reid Allen said no to spoiled millionaire Ambrose Walter Simpson five years ago, AW kicked him out on his ass. Now AW is ready to admit he’s thrown away the only man he ever truly loved.

The rich bad boy has learned the value of sticking around when the going gets tough. But is it too late to make amends and win Reid back?

Also, I have two books coming out this week -- Guardian Angel is being re-released on Wednesday by Resplendence and Spot the Difference, part of the Vive la Difference PAX is coming out from Amber Allure on Sunday!

Country singer Daniel “Dusty” Young can’t understand why anyone would want him dead, or why anyone would think he’s important enough to kidnap. I'll also be over at The Rainbow Studio tomorrow, TRS Blue on Friday and at Emily's Birthday Bash in the middle on Wednesday!

PS -- who ordered the hot and humid day of summer?

Spent the weekend going over a galley, doing edits and prepping and submitting two books. On tap this week I've got three more to prep and submit. Being busy keeps me out of trouble, I guess ;)

Interview with BA Tortuga

I got to read an advanced copy of BA Tortuga’s Terms of Release. Man, start this one when you know you can finish it because you will not want to put it down. I had to keep reading to see the tide turn for Sage and Win. It’s an awesome read.

I’ve got the chance to interview BA here in relation to Terms of Release. Everyone knows I like it on the smutty side, so while I know there’s lots of angst in Terms of Release, (thank God you can trust BA for an HEA) I figured I would ask BA a baker’s dozen of questions from the lighter side, the mostly smutty side, if you will.

First off -- I loved the book!

Thank you, honey! You’re the best. :D

Who looks better shirtless, Sage or Win?

I imagine Win does, although I have to say, they both totally have farmer’s tans. :D

Who wears the cowboy hat better?

Sage was born to wear one, but you know, they both have it down. They are Texans, after all.

Who has the bigger… package?

Grins Oh, honey, Sage is a pocket cowboy…

Sage and Win only have a few minutes, how do they get each other off?

Win isn’t interested in quickies. When he gets time alone with Sage, he’s going to make it count.

Time not being an issue, what is Win’s favorite position? (please answer also for Sage)

They both love holding each other — naked, clothed, in bed, on the sofa.

Who would be more likely to get a Prince Albert?

That is never going to happen with these cowboys. Never.

Who came first – Sage or Win?

Sage. He was born when I heard the song Modern Day Prodigal Son by Brantley Gilbert. He came fully formed, then Win showed up to love him.

Which is sexier – cowboys, bikers or cops?

Why choose? I love cowboys best, but my babysitter as a little girl was in the Hell’s Angels. I adored him.

Pizza or burgers?

Burgers :D

Ice cream or pie?

Can I have popcorn?

Do the llamas love Sage and spit at Win?

The llamas adore Sage. Win smells like gun oil.

What was the best thing about writing Terms of Release?

Taking my time. I didn’t have a deadline, I didn’t have pressure. I wrote the book I wanted to write and it is the story I needed to tell.

If you had to pick one song that best goes with Terms of Release, which song would it be?

Number 37405 by Tim McGraw. That’s Sage’s song and I still cry every single time I hear it.

Love you, sweetie. Thanks for having me.

Official Blurb:

They say a man can always come home. So after doing hard time, Sage Redding heads to his family’s northeast Texas ranch to help his ailing daddy with the cutting horses.

Adam (Win) Winchester is a county deputy and the cousin of one of the men killed in the incident that sent Sage to prison for almost a decade. While Win's uncles, Jim and Teddy, are determined to make Sage and the entire Redding family pay for their loss, Win just figures Sage has paid his dues and maybe needs a friend. Maybe he needs more than a friend. In fact, Win’s counting on it.

No one’s denying Sage is an ex-con who went to prison for manslaughter. Regardless of the love he has for his father, he’s returned knowing things will likely go badly for him. Maybe a man can always come home, but he may not be able to stay.

Writing Process Blog Hop

Kiernan Kelly invited me to take part in this blog hop. Find Kiernan here.

What am I working on?

I usually work on several things at the same time. Currently I’m working on a Shibari Auction House story, a novella for Totally Bound, a Hammer short story, a novella for Amber Allure and a novel that doesn’t have a home, yet, but it will.

I’m getting three other books ready to submit – Shibari Auction House: Sam, SWAK: Sounds and the next Kennel Klub story, which I still haven't settled on a title for.

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

My books tend not to be super angsty and my men usually say more with their bodies than their words.

Why do I write what I do?

Because I love it.

How does your writing process work?

Well, I let the characters have their heads, they give me their story and I just let it happen. If I try to outline, one of two things happen 1) my desire to write the story is gone because hey, already told it even if only in outline form, or 2) the characters totally ignore the outline and do their own thing anyway – it’s easier just to let them have their heads from the start.

Coming up next week are:

Ari McKay is the professional pseudonym for Arionrhod and McKay, who collaborate on original m/m fiction. They share a brain as well as a love of yarn and cake, and are preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse. Find Ari's blog here.

Christiane France is a dyed-in-the-wool romantic who loves hea, men, cats, ghosts and mysteries, but not necessarily in that order. Find Christiane here.
