Writing Process Blog Hop

Kiernan Kelly invited me to take part in this blog hop. Find Kiernan here.

What am I working on?

I usually work on several things at the same time. Currently I’m working on a Shibari Auction House story, a novella for Totally Bound, a Hammer short story, a novella for Amber Allure and a novel that doesn’t have a home, yet, but it will.

I’m getting three other books ready to submit – Shibari Auction House: Sam, SWAK: Sounds and the next Kennel Klub story, which I still haven't settled on a title for.

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

My books tend not to be super angsty and my men usually say more with their bodies than their words.

Why do I write what I do?

Because I love it.

How does your writing process work?

Well, I let the characters have their heads, they give me their story and I just let it happen. If I try to outline, one of two things happen 1) my desire to write the story is gone because hey, already told it even if only in outline form, or 2) the characters totally ignore the outline and do their own thing anyway – it’s easier just to let them have their heads from the start.

Coming up next week are:

Ari McKay is the professional pseudonym for Arionrhod and McKay, who collaborate on original m/m fiction. They share a brain as well as a love of yarn and cake, and are preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse. Find Ari's blog here.

Christiane France is a dyed-in-the-wool romantic who loves hea, men, cats, ghosts and mysteries, but not necessarily in that order. Find Christiane here.
