I was watching the Miami/OKC game and I saw that it was apparently Black Alice day and while I’m not a huge fan of the character because I’ve not read much stuff that she’s in but I’m a huge fan of people making up days for random DC Comics characters so I did this up real quick while watching the Heat CHEAT there way to a victory. I mean what was with that no call? Are you serious? Lebron was all over him. Am I right? I’m right, right?

I was in the store today looking through the Bat books and what did I see?  Something I haven’t seen in quite a while in the New 52.  Lois Lane actually doing what she’s best at.  Investigative journalism.   How I’ve missed you Lois Lane.

Thanks to Gail Simone we get a glimpse of her at work.  I love the kick ass way she’s written.  As the saying goes, run don’t walk to your nearest LCS and pick up a copy before it’s gone.

Made a character on City of Heroes as an homage to the DC Comics character Black Alice, because Thursday is/was International Black Alice Day here on Tumblr. My CoH character is a Magic-origin Psychic/Dark Blaster, mainly for the pretty effects. I could have been truer to her ability set in the comics (stealing others’ powers) and made her a Kinetics/Dark Defender, I suppose.

These are wicked awesome! I especially love the one on the right. Love the ripped up clothing!

Hey, Gail! Just out of curiosity, how long does it usually take to publish an issue?

I am not positive I understand the question?

We are generally doing outlines 5-6 months ahead, it takes a while to get that approved, go to script, get that approved, make revisions, get it to the penciller, then inker, then colorist, then letterer, etc.

I hope that answers your question!
