The Best Part of Believe is the Lie.: About Steph

The Best Part of Believe is the Lie.: About Steph:

gailsimone:

I just heard about this thing the day before yesterday, I don’t know anything about it or why they decided to do it. I know people are disappointed. Bleah.

But I still hope people buy Brian Q. Miller’s SMALLVILLE comic. I was thrilled when he told me in secret that Steph would…

You’re not offending, you are just stating your opinion, which is always fine.

Guys, I honest to god have no answers. Publishing and digital are separate, they are almost two separate companies. I am at a con, the busiest con in the country, going from one signing, panel, or meeting to another, so I’m not even home where I generally know more stuff.

I understand being disappointed, and everyone gets to choose what they buy or don’t buy. I have no dog in this particular hunt because I am on the other side of the fence…but it would make me sad if people stopped buying a bqm comic after how hard I know he and the art team have worked on it, that’s all.

He’s a good guy and a great writer, and I want all his work to do great.

That would mean the book didn’t sell and BQM would never get another such opportunity. It would affect BQM, not DC.

About Steph

But I still hope people buy Brian Q. Miller’s SMALLVILLE comic. I was thrilled when he told me in secret that Steph would be in it, but even without her, the story is fantastic.

Sorry to disappointed Steph fans, wish I knew more about it.

Yesterday's Panels...

„,were awesome.

Progressive Politics in Comics was smart and thought-provoking, the Batman panel was hugely enthusiastic. (dc gave all the audience Owl masks, it was amazing!), and the Rewriting The Rules for Queers In Comics was very cool, great audience participation.

Today is the new 52 panel at 4:00!

Also, if you see me, please notice my new hairstyle or I will cry.
