Cool!

So this morning, the New York Times has a lovely article on Batgirl, Volume One, very nice to wake up to.

Even cooler, the book is #4 on the New York Times Bestseller list for graphic novels, the highest charting of any New52 book this month.

ALSO, I have been getting art in from two new-to-Batgirl artists for a couple special surprises (not in the monthly book!) and GOOD GOD they are beautiful! I can’t WAIT for you to see this new artist, I have never seen anything quite like him!

To play Boggle, right? You mean people want to play Boggle with Bane.

I bet you meant Boggle.

The highlight of my C2E2 2012.  Nicest, greatest author I’ve ever met.

You were absolutely stunning in your WW cosplay, and a joy to meet!

Also, I want to thank you again for that amazing Jacob’s Ladder you made for me…you won’t believe it but it is actually right next to my computer as we speak, with Deadshot’s face on top.

For the readers, this lovely woman made me a handmade wooden Jacob’s Ladder toy, on one side, it’s all Secret Six, and on the other, it’s the Birds of Prey.

YES, I TREASURE IT.

I know some people may have already asked you this. If you could or if you wanted to, would you write Barbara Gordon as a bisexual character? Some fans already say she should be. Some fans don't agree. I wouldn't mind it, but I would just like to know

I’m not 0 certain I understand the question—if the question is, would I have a problem writing her as bi, no, of course not. I think Barbara in Birds of Prey could have made that leap pretty believably.

However, there isn’t a lot in canon to indicate that she is bi at this point, that I can think of off the top of my head. If it was going to happen, I would want it to be organic and believable. There would have to be some foreshadowing, some foundational work. I like those kinds of reveals to be done tastefully and with respect to the character and her history.

So it would take some work, certainly.
