What happens when I get bored and have a shit-ton of craft supplies at home.

I have one of those that deliberately tries to scare me when I come home from a trip in the dark.

Some film student friends of mine have asked me to star in a Deadpool fan film/mockumentary (I'm the only guy they know with a Pool costume). As someone who has wrote the character is there anything you think must be included, would like to see him do? And

All I can say is, I am not a fan of “zany” Deadpool. I like him to be off-center and disturbing and odd and funny, not just wacky.

And Deadpool always works best when there is actual drama in the story, not just jokes. He has to play against something with dignity, to deflate.

Good luck!

Women of Comicbook Cosplay: Please think.

Women of Comicbook Cosplay: Please think.:

Over the past few weeks I have heard about more and more cosplayers receiving unwelcome negative press from people. It’s to these people that I address right now.

If you feel that a cosplayer is overrated, copying someone, a bit “whoreish”, not a real nerd or any of the other usual, ill…

I will be more succinct.

If you feel the urge to attack someone you don’t even know for daring to cosplay for their own enjoyment, please stifle that urge by sticking your head in a tub of boiling water until it passes.

Your comment will not be missed.

This is exactly what happened to me earlier this month when I cosplayed Power Girl at STGCC….I actually had a little row with some people on a popular Singaporean forum, not because they thought my costume was bad- as a cosplayer you learn to take that kind of crticism- but more for attacking me as a person, calling me cheap and slutty and whoring for photographer attention, and one person even doubted I actually read comic books. After I tried to defend myself, they thought I was an internet troll and I was asked to prove I was really ‘the Power Girl cosplayer that showed up at STGCC’, by taking a realtime photo of myself holding up a piece of paper stating the date and the name of the forum.

One person asked me to list down the comics I read just to test if I was really into comic books. After identifying myself, some posted lewd comments, like “hey sexy mama I want to take photos of you” “hey honey let’s go out sometime” etc and some after finding out I was Malaysian, kept saying “here’s another Malaysian” “Another one”, etc.

The whole thing wasn’t even about cosplay anymore it was about me. I don’t know what I did to deserve it.

Herebegeeks.com wrote an article about it even.

Well, that is horrible.

I am so, so sorry.

Hello, Ms. Simone! I was wondering if we'll ever see again the young man Babs dated in College? the one from Batgirl #0?

Yep, there will be one more early Batgirl/Babs story in the next year.

OK so we know that you wrote Catman as bisexual. Here's my question - what kind of guy would he go for? And while he strikes me as a dude who would be versatile, I'm curious of your take on his role in the bedroom.

Hmm.

That’s an interesting question.

I don’t really have a quick answer…there was something non-verbal in his attraction to Helena. Was it her grace, her independence? Would he feel the same way for a guy?

I don’t really have an answer there off-hand, I have to admit.
