Batch 2 of cute-creepy Ragdoll! …I’m out of ideas though :(
Also, the actual doll was made by leftandrightdolls :)
I cannot say how much I love these.
Please Look (And Quickly!)
I have talked a little bit about this in the past.
NO ONE wants to make comics more than my talented friend Larime.
Now, here’s the deal. Larime is an extremely talented artist and writer. He is severely disabled, he has to write and draw with his mouth.
He’s created a story that is just downright fascinating, about a POC young woman who is also a serial killer. It’s beautifully drawn, it’s intelligently written, it’s just masterful work. And he drew this thing with his mouth.
Larime makes it to cons when he can, but his finances are extremely limited, far, far below the poverty line. It’s very difficult for him to break into comics in the traditional way. Drawing and writing comics isn’t just a calling for him, it’s also therapy. And thank god, he’s ridiculously talented.
He has four hours left in this kickstarter campaign for his book, that’s all. He’s passed his goal, but frankly, I think he undersold how much it will cost to print and ship his book by a wide margin. So he still needs some help if you can.
He is a poc, lgtb-friendly comics creator, an extremely talented guy who is also disabled. Doing what he’s doing is a whole extra layer of difficulty from what most of us deal with as creators. I’m asking people to PLEASE just go look at his Kickstarter page.
If you can’t donate, I totally understand. But this project is why Kickstarter needs to exist. Funding for this book is almost impossible any other way. And it’s a book that needs to be out there.
IF you can’t donate, still please go look, and spread the word quickly, okay? It would mean the world to a talented artist who has spent years perfecting his craft over obstacles that most of us can’t even imagine.
And the book is terrific.
Please help if you can, spread the word if you can’t!

Gail, it is so refreshing to know that you want Scandal back the same way us fans do. You must have some pull around there. You're an ICON in some reader's eyes, and IF it happens, will you be ready to write a story for it, even with any "forced changes"
I am dying to write Scandal again. Truthfully, not to be a jerk, but if someone brings her back, I want it to be me, or a writer I really, truly trust, someone who gets who she is. Or I’d rather not have her come back yet at all. If someone does a hasty, crappy reboot, I will be crestfallen.

Villains United 1
What...

Villains United 1
What happens when you insult Scandal Savage’s girlfriend in an airborne vehicle.
HA!
I think for the record that he insulted SCANDAL and it was Knockout who threw him out, if I remember correctly!
I went back to check and I can’t even find this page, which suggests I mislabeled the file. …This is gonna be one of those times where I blow an hour just trying to figure out where this came from, isn’t it?
Yeah…
It’s from the Villains United Special, each of the Crisis specials got one, this one was ours.
Everybody has been demanding that Scandal should come back, but I feel they still won't be satisfied if she does return. They'll want Knockout & Liana back too. If Scandal, and only Scandal returned, do you believe people would accept it?
That is a great question. IF Scandal comes back, I want her in a lesbian, poly relationship. It was promised, it should be delivered.
I don’t think Liana would be a stumbling block. But Kay might.
Don’t know, I will definitely keep trying.

Wow. Peel away that Thanos makeup and you’re left with one insanely handsome bastard. Since it’s been announced that Thanos will play the villain in both Avengers 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy, actor will soon find himself in that fanboy purgatory of action figures and comicons. Hope he knows what he’s in for!

It is a SIN to cover up that face. UNF.
DAMN
Thanos huh? Definitely Avengers level cosmic badassery. Good decision.
Good lord, I thought Thanos was CGI.
Dear Marvel, can you please have the plot of AVENGERS II be that Thanos takes off his makeup and it’s just the actor and he’s walking around with no shirt on all day?
Thanks!
English and Irish Cuisine
Why do these two countries have such a poor reputation for food all around the world?
I’ve seen both slammed as cuisine hell for years. But we found outstanding, elegant and delicious local cuisine every time we’ve gone there.
I’m curious from a cultural point of view what that’s about. DID these countries have lesser food cultures until recently, but improved? Is there some sort of cultural snobbery going on from other European countries?
What’s the scoop, I wonder?
You've written many comics, have you ever gotten stuck with an artist who you just didn't seem to mesh with?
A couple times, but it’s very rare. USUALLY you know in advance who will draw a book. If you know, you can aim the script at that person—it’s just a skill you learn with practice. I know a script for Ed Benes or Nicola Scott can have very subtle emotional content and they will nail it.
I know if I want something gruesome, Jim Calafiore will do amazing work. If I want monsters, go to Aaron Lopresti, on and on.
I usually ask a new ongoing artist what they LIKE to draw, and give them as much of that as I can. It makes the book better when the artist is drawing what they love.
Sometimes an artist is chosen after the script is written. In those cases, there’s not much you CAN do about it, you just have to hope for the best.

Secret Six 01
Keep it classy, Floyd.
One of my favorite things in Secret Six is how oddly non-judgmental Floyd is considering that, in general, he has no use for most people at all.
But he really doesn’t judge the rest of the team, much.
