Hey Ms. Simone. A while back you were discussing disabilities in superheroes. Would having extensive burn scars count? A heroine I created is bombshell gorgeous with burn scars all over her face, torso, and arms, and she gets quite a bit of crap for it fro

I don’t know how the terminology works out with something like that, perhaps someone more informed can help.

But including characters who are permanently injured or scarred seems to be something that could be very meaningful.

GHOST Is Awesome

Seriously, I’m behind on my reading but just got the first issue of GHOST by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Phil Noto.

The story is terrific, the art is ridiculously beautiful (Phil Noto, guys, come ON) and it features a powerful, compelling female lead.

GREAT book, you should all get it, blast your hides!

Any favorite comics that you're reading, at the moment that aren't DC Comics-related? :)

I am really, really enjoying RACHEL RISING, a terrific thriller by the great Terry Moore. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Hi, you've probably been asked this before so sorry if youve answered it a billion times already ^^; Ok so I mostly read Marvel now and I'm trying to get into DC, which DC series would you reccomend starting with? :3

Ah. Great question. Well, of the new52, which are the easiest to pick up probably, I would suggest Batman, Aquaman, I,Vampire, Nightwing, Batwoman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Animal Man, off the top of my head. I’m sure I’m missing some great ones, but my brain is empty tonight.
