This is why I love Jim Caliafore, he knew just what I wanted here…these two scenes on the same page. This is something you can do in comics with the right artist.
The idea here is not to simply contrast violence and sex. It’s not meant to be ironic or satirical.
The blood is blood. The sex is sex. They do not directly connect here except by Deadshot’s vague sensory awareness.
The idea is for the reader to experience a moment of cathartic and wet bloody vengeance, well-deserved, but extreme…and to approach a weird but hot sex snapshot directly FROM that previous emotional response. The idea is not to compare, it’s to have the previous moment linger, to spill over. If the sex scene had its own page, the emotional recipe is wildly different.
The capper is that Jeannette gives a huge sack of zero fucks.
Again, kind of amazed this page went through as shown, somehow.

I Am The Anti-Oracle
I still don’t know how to post photos on Tumblr, something my dog figured out about two weeks in.

Or do you mean how do you add pictures to text posts or as replies? Because that is a little more complicated
That’s the weird thing…whenever I do that, whether I use the URL option or the regular browse from my computer option, then do a preview, the same photo comes up, one I posted well over a year ago.
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, it looks so simple, but even in a different browser, I get the same result.
I’m sure I’m doing something doofy, but I don’t know what.

I would like to congratulate Gail Simone on writing a genuinely tense and emotionally fraught scene where almost everyone, some for no valid reason, was naked. I am impressed.
I remember this. And then Hatter came into the room at some point and he was ALSO naked for some reason. I did feel bad for Scandal though I mean she walked in on her girlfriend having what sounded like bad sex with Deadshot soooo

Oh yeah, and then Scandal gets over it over the course of like, one issue without any interaction between her and Knockout. Oh, and she wasn’t even really that angry, she was just pretending so she had an excuse to go see her father *eye roll*
Hmm.

Sometimes I wonder at the stuff we were allowed to show in Secret Six. The whole team is naked but Scandal, even the Mad Hatter, and his only disappointment is he didn’t get a beating himself.

Gail. Have you considered now would be a possible good time to sit down and start creating your very own characters? You such a genius, and I know you have the talent to do so, obviously. Maybe create a trans-gender hero or villain? Or how about create
Absolutely it’s the BEST time and I have a couple things I am working on that are new and created by me and I am very excited.
I can’t talk about ANY of it yet but hopefully very soon!
