Do you speak any languages besides English?
A smattering of several, I used to be fairly fluent in French. I have a bit of Mandarin and some Spanish. I usually pick up some when I go traveling and then forget it all immediately afterwards.
My son is a true polyglot, teaches himself languages and is also studying them in school.
I wish I spoke more languages, I think it makes one smarter, certainly.

Hi Ms Simone, I wonder if you would ever consider an original (non DC/Marvel) graphic novel or if you would consider a prose novel/ collection if short stories if you could get some kick starter funding? If not, you really should.
I appreciate that, but I already HAVE a non DC/Marvel kickstarter book coming out, LEAVING MEGALOPOLIS, the most successful straight comics project on KS so far, I believe. Funding is closed, we are working on the book now. I AM considering more prose work, I get asked by agents and publishers a lot.
I’m giving it consideration. Thank you!
I also have some non-DC stuff coming up this year, all stuff I chose because I truly wanted to do it. FUN!

For a while after no longer writing Wonder Woman, I missed it every single day. Then I put it away in my mind and moved on, as you simply have to learn to do.
But MAN ALIVE WAS IT FUN TO WRITE WONDER WOMAN.
“Did she just punch me into Canada” is my new euphemism for… actually, I’m not going to say what it is in public.
Well, you ARE filthy. Is it something filthy?

I love this page, not because I wrote it, but because the art is so amazing.
It’s for a benefit anthology, organized by the people who run the THOUGHT BALLOONS comic convention in Leeds, England, one of the most fun and wonderful cons I’ve ever been to, ever.
The anthology has work by Warren Ellis, Ivan Brandon, Rich Starkings, and lots more. This piece was drawn by Tula Lotay, a magnificently talented artist who also is a major force in comics in her section of the country. She elevated this strip tremendously.
The book benefits a children’s charity, Barnardos. I haven’t seen the completed book yet, but it’s been getting astounding reviews and with that line-up, I’m guessing it’s excellent.
I want to work with this artist again really a GREAT MUCHNESS.
Tula Lotay, you rule.

Happy Birthday To Me!
I’m officially a quarter of a century old.
Glad to know I won’t be spending it alone this year.
One of the BEST Black Alice cosplayers…it’s her birthday today!
Happy birthday, miss!
