After the darkness of yesterday’s comics, I wanted a more joyful image for today. And there is none better than this perfect cosplay.

Knightess, out of all your gorgeous photos, this is my favorite!

Amazing. I am running out of superlatives.

A serious query: why are there no superheroes or supporting cast in mainstream comics of Armenian descent? Or Portuguese, Cameroonian, Serbian, Romanian or even Peruvian? The comics medium's been around for nearly a century, and they never thought to creat

Well, the answer is, I’m sure, that until recently, it was darn near impossible to find ANYONE in comics who wasn’t white and American (except for some villains, of course).

There are a lot of groups that still have little to no visibility. I don’t know what to do about it except to keep asking people in the industry. I’m sure we have some writers and artist from those countries in comics.

I’m not passing the buck, I really am trying to add more diversity but I only do a couple books and only introduce a small handful of characters each year.

Hopefully we can make this happen.

I just saw that you reblogged by Ragdoll pictures. He's a really great character, and I tried my best to do him justice, creepy twisty ways and all, so thank you so much for the comments. Talk about ultimate approval!

You mean talk about the ultimate compliment! Seeing a character I created cosplayed THAT perfectly, that is a thrill, believe me. Thank you!

I imagine you get quite a few of the messages daily, but I just wanted to say thank you to you. Thank you for WIR, thank you for your amazing stories, and thank you for how you wrote Oracle. I know that many women have helped comics become what they are to

Thank you so much, Suzanna.

I have to say, it took me a long time to accept even the most heartfelt compliments on my writing. I don’t know, I seemed to lack that skill for a long time.

Sometimes, I still get startled a little bit at kind posts like this one. People do say a lot of wonderful, very moving things.

I am very, very fortunate.

Thank you so much.

Batgirl #16 Out Today!

Pretty excited about this very tense, conflicted issue for Barbara. Response has been AMAZING, lots of stores sold out early this morning.

Really appreciated all the kind words and support. Next is two issues by the very talented Ray Fawkes, then we return with 19, for a story you guys WILL NOT BELIEVE.

Seriously, this one is downright jaw-dropping.
Barbara  needs a breather after nineteen. Does she get one? READ ON!
