…is called BIRDS OF RAGE.

And when the stuff we're told by companies is "totally for women! We swear!" and yet still has the worst versions of the "totally for straight guy" elements to it and we're supposed to be grateful for it as female readers... that's infuriating.

Oh, yeah. I don’t care if a cover has a cheesecake element. If that’s what the book is, and that’s what it’s intended to do, fine. I like cheesecake that’s done well, LOTS of women do. 

But I think people have every right to be skeptical of stuff that is supposed to be inclusive when it’s really not presented that way.

I don’t care if Canary wears fishnets, as long as she is the Black Canary and she’s in character.  But if it’s a crappy porn pose on a character where it doesn’t fit, people have every right to complain or question it.

AND everyone’s line is different. I have a hard time criticizing people for what they like. But if it doesn’t fit the character, or if it’s just plain hypersexualization for its own sake with no charm or story, publishers should not be surprised if people question it.
