The lady who runs the agency for rescued racing greyhounds, where we got our two dogs a few months ago, has a picnic every year for greyhounds and their owners.  This will be the first time our greys have interacted with a lot of dogs at once, and the first time they have been around other greys since the adoption, and their first long car ride (it’s a couple hours) all at once.

We’re excited. One of ours, Vixen, has little interest in other dogs at all, or even cats, which is rare for a greyhound (they want to chase them). Elektra, who is normally incredibly sweet, can be a little aggressive towards other dogs. But greyhounds tend to recognize other greyhounds immediately, having been raised exclusively around other greys.

These dogs have become such a part of our family already, we are very excited for them to get to cut loose around other doggies. I will try to get some photos to share!
