Swords of Sorrow #4 is moving toward the final confrontation. It is time for all the women who have been meeting and separating to gather “The Trinity” together. They must go through the Portals and find Dejah Thoris, Red Sonja, and Vampirella in order to have a chance at defeating the Prince. They also confront some of his “harem” and battle some more dinosaurs. More of the past of the mysterious Lady and the Prince is revealed, and some of what was hinted at earlier becomes clearer.
I am becoming more and more convinced that all comic books should have dinosaurs, no matter what else is there. Swords of Sorrow has a massive, universe-threatening event as its backdrop, and yet Simone and her fellow writers never lose site of the fun to be had with the more pulpy elements of their story. There are dinosaurs. There is posturing, there are sword fights, and it is glorious.
Sergio Davila ably keeps the action going, working both grand crowd scenes with all of the women—some not yet even named in the texts—and close-ups, particularly as some of the women wonder whether this is even their fight. Are they heroes? He also creates magnificent dinosaurs and gives the reveal about the Lady the punch it deserves.
Swords of Sorrow is an enjoyable, well-written, first-class tour of the Dynamite Universe with dinosaurs thrown in for good measure.

Women In Refrigerators: Gail Simone On the List That Illustrated the Problem With Female Comic Characters
I really enjoyed this story, it was nicely bereft of sensationalism.
But I was so hot from running across San Diego to get there in time, I wish I had had a moment to collect myself! It was SCORCHING that day and we had to almost run all the way from the Gaslamp District. :)
Funny that that’s all I remember when I see this. Good story, though! Loved Marguerite Bennett and G. Willow in this.

Here is the video from Yahoo! I mentioned earlier. I’m in it a few times in my Nebula cosplay! I wish I knew how to download Yahoo videos so I could make a gif from my clip towards the end.
Can I also note how amazing it is to be in the same video with all these talented writers/artists/creators! Gail Simone, G. Willow Wilson, Babs Tarr, Kelly Sue DeConnick!!!! AAAAH!
