You've said before that you'd love to write for the Superfamily. What would your take on the big blue boy scout be like?

I wrote ACTION COMICS for nine issues, it would be like that, I  hope!

Lots of good deed-doing, lots of costly heroism, lots of Clark-Lois adorableness.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this new meme, and thus THIS! :)

@gailsimone’s run on Wonder Woman is one of my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE comics! This shot being one of my favourites of said run, Aaron Lopresti and his pencils kick SO MUCH ASS!

HA! I love this one, and the Coral City one!

Gail, how do you feel about fan shipping of some characters?

I like anything that’s interactive.

I used to be a bit of a drip about fanfic, I don’t think I was condescending, but I was maybe a bit dismissive. I think I was just being obnoxious for no reason.

As far as I am concerned, fanfic, fan art, cosplay, all that stuff, I love it. I can’t read the fanfic for legal reasons, but I love that it’s out there. I love that fandom is inspired to not just to spectate, but to participate. Not just to watch, but to create.

That’s the stuff I love best, sometimes.

Hi I just read convergence nightwing/Oracle which was amazing and I was wondering ,why do you think Dick and Barbara s relationship is so important to so many batfamily fans?Thank you in advance if you choose to answer this.

I think people become invested in the relationships, I think we root for characters we care about and true love sounds pretty freaking great, doesn’t it?

I will say that in my case, I just like the chemistry. But there are a LOT of Dick/Kory shippers as well and they are just as passionate!

Xena is coming back to tv. You've written for Wonder Woman and Red Sonja, what can we do to get NBC to hire you to write for it? is there a hashtag we need to get trending or what?

That’s a lovely idea, but I don’t really know much about Xena. I’ve only seen a couple episodes. I really am a terrible television viewer in almost all cases.

I did meet the lady who played Gabrielle, we spent a week in New Zealand between two conventions, she was incredibly nice and very genuine. I liked her a lot. I met Lucy Lawless in passing at Arthur Adams’ table. I did not recognize her at all. She was stunning, but looked not even remotely like Xena.

Can I write Gabrielle? :)

fuckyesdeadpool:

Some of you already know me, I’m Christy and I run fuckyesdeadpool. I was born with the terminal disease Spinal Atrophy Muscular Dystrophy type 2 and because of this I survive off of disability which is very hard, but on top of that my caretaker and mother has developed Alzheimer’s and her medical coverage is almost nonexistent. Things are hard around here and because I’m legally not allowed to have an income or I lose my disability I’m asking for donations.

If you would like to donate, send your donation through PayPal to me at christyleighstewart@gmail.com

Here’s how I would like things to go

Scenario one

You: the blog has been really entertaining this week/month, I think I’ll send in $1

People tell me they feel bad if they just send $1, but $1can get me a loaf of bread and make or break a week. A donation like this is not insulting in the least, neither is “I have 10 cents in my PayPal account so that’s what I’m sending you” If everyone who followed me sent me 10 cents I’d have it made. Edit: I’ve been informed that PayPay keeps donations under $1

Scenario two

You: I’m Bill Gates, here’s $200 to cover all medication costs for a month

Thank you but also I’ve been using Microsoft computers since I was four so you kind of owe me

Scenario three

You: All this is real cute but I don’t send people money, I don’t trust what they’ll do with it

I completely get that but if you’d still like to help out I have an Amazon wish list where I always keep things that we need (like toilet paper) Sometimes I do add unnecessary items because a girl can dream but I always keep necessities on there

Please help this Deadpool fan and talented writer if you can!

The stuff about outside inspiration you've been talking about on Twitter today reminds me of why I find so many fan films lackluster. They're way too insular and obsessed with the minutiae, rather than focusing on telling a story.

I have not watched very many fan films, but I have been impressed by the ones I see.

For it, it’s just that, telling a genre story from purely genre influences tends to feel a bit worn, no matter how well it’s told.

When you bring in stuff from the outside of that genre, that’s when it resonates.
