Wow, I'm ridiculously excited to find out you're on tumblr! Probably because I practically live on my tumblr dashboard. By the way, it's Irene (I drew the Mangacide backstory and met you briefly at ECCC). Cheers!

Hi, Irene!

You did an AMAZING job on that story—I remember a bunch of critics saying it should be nominated for an Eisner or Harvey, but alas, didn't happen. Love that art in that story…I miss Mangacide!

On Zimmerman's Site

George Zimmerman, expert killer of unarmed children, posted this on the front page of his website, over the American Flag.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke."

Mister Zimmerman, I didn't think it was possible to hate you anymore than I already did.

You are not a good man, Trayvon was not evil, and if there is ANY JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD, you will never 'triumph' again.

And then he cheats on his wife with an intern, wife asks for divorce, gets alimony (which she deserves, since she took years out of her career to raise their children) and child support (because she took care of the kids the most, so the courts decide she's better suited to have custody), and BOOM! Another bitter men's rights activist is born.

I actually HAD this idiotic conversation with a much-loved-by-women comic book writer of a Conservative bent. It was just this logic-free, by the way.

Hooray.

FREE RIFFTRAX! SPECIAL LIMITED-TIME BACKER PRIZE FOR SUPER-POWERED REVENGE CHRISTMAS!

Ladies and gentlemen, I would love to make this comic book happen.  I'm grateful to all you wonderful people who have backed it so far.  Even you non-wonderful people: thanks, you flawed but generous masterpieces!

We are getting near the halfway mark, and we're close to halfway there, so the project still alive and kickstartering.  But it may be a squeaker.

So! Let me offer some ole-timey INCENTIVE:

**********

SPECIAL OFFER!

I will give you a FREE RIFFTRAX OF YOUR CHOICE if you back this project for $100 or more.

I will give you THREE FREE RIFFTRAX OF YOUR CHOICE if you back this project for $200 or more.

Of.  Your.  Choice.  No pushing WARRIORS OF THE WASTELAND on you, though Lord knows I'm tempted.

You can choose any full-length RiffTrax: our famous downloadable MST3K-style commentary for feature Hollywood-type movies, or both commentary AND movie for our Video On Demand catalogue (the more obscure titles).  Or three-four RiffTrax shorts of equal value.

YOUR choice, because what do I know, really?

I have about 25 RiffTrax to give out. First come, first serve!  As it were!

Of course, I also welcome and am incredibly thankful to you backers at lower dollar amounts.  THANK YOU.

If you haven't backed it yet, but are considering it, please go to my Kickstarter page and see what is to your liking:

SUPER-POWERED REVENGE CHRISTMAS!

I am so grateful it's not even funny, you guys.

Thanks!

Bill

P.S. RiffTrax fans, please spread the word!

Oh, man, RIFFTRAX and MST3k fans, HOW CAN YOU RESIST?

I'm gonna do it!

Also, please signal boost for extra excellentness!

""George can't go to the store and buy a Coke""

George Zimmerman's attorney speaking on the 'difficulties' of his life, post "ground-standing."

The irony is depressing.

Maybe he should put on a hoodie and try to buy a fucking iced tea and some skittles, the piece of garbage.

[w4a] Cheat Codes for the Real World

makeyourownthen:

A divorced single mom discovers the cheat code for infinite money in the real world.  Instead of using it to rule the world, she uses the code to save it.

The story will take place in the real world, with some small sci-fi/fantasy elements.  All art styles are welcome, but I'm looking for an artist who can draw a variety of body types, ages and ethnicities, as well as real architecture, fashion and technology.

Contact me at cmwich@gmail.com if interested.
