Wintergreen Essential Oil Benefits

IT HURT SO BAD. I thought I sprained my arm.

Two days ago whenever I bent my arm, there would be a knife sharp pain that shot up. Yikes. It sounded bad right? Well usually the first thing someone would grab for would be a Tylenol, or rub some of that A535 muscle cream—  If you don’t know what A535 is, it’s not a password to a secret compartment in my house leading to a black market dealer who had the good stuff— Haha, sorry for that image. Hope you pictured it and it made you laugh. Anyways, it was a cream we had handy whenever we would get any aches and pains in our body. Emphasis on ‘had’, ever since clearing out our medicine cabinet of toxic creams, I started to use essential oils and herbal remedies. Now I’ll tell you about wintergreen essential oil benefits.

Wintergreen Essential Oil

I had a tube of gel with Epsom salt, and various essential oils. Although I applied it twice the first and the second, I didn’t feel any better. The pain was still there. I know I probably should have been more patient, but saying ow after a few breaths was getting to my nerves. I then considered trying peppermint essential oil. I headed to my favourite Health food store and lo and behold, they had none. No peppermint, but they did have wintergreen. And even on the label I read it was great for muscle and joint pain. I was sold and brought it home.

It’s Literally Cool

This small bottle Kicks aches away with a cool and warm sensation. Why’s that? The compounds in Wintergreen essential oil are many. Here’s the various properties that make this great for pain, digestion and even circulation.

Wintergreen Essential Oil Benefits

As an Analgesic, it absorbs readily through the skin. And because it increases your blood circulation it brings warmth to the area you rub this refreshing essential oil. A property called Menthyl Salicylate numbs the nerves to fight pain. The circulation helps to clear obstructions in the blood, helping to combat arthritis and rheumatism.

The nature of this oil brings a relaxing and stimulating effect, which in turn can reduce spasms in the digestive, muscular, respiratory and nervous system.

Wintergreen is Antiseptic, making it lethal to bacteria and viruses. So if you’re battling a flu, you could use this as a chest decongestant to open up your stuffy sinuses.

Caution Because I Care and So Should You

One thing to note however, is that it should never come in contact with open wounds or blood. It is best to apply it topically and never orally, since it can penetrate the skin, reach the muscles and organs throughout the body. And, always dilute with vegetable oil, such as coconut oil, olive oil or avocado oil etc.

YA Epic Fantasy. Are You Psyched?

YA Epic Fantasy

Hey everyone! You’ll see I placed a GIF above. What can I say, pictures can speak louder with text. Sometimes I imagine the sounds along with the GIF. Only me?

Anyways, I wanted to post about what you can expect from my YA epic fantasy novel, currently named Psyche Twist. The main character is Nezha, a fire elemental.

Born with the ability to manipulate fire, Moroccan girl Nezha wishes to control the very flames who are supposed to obey her every command.

Hmm, a fire elemental who wants to master her powers– fire is wild but also a light. What could possibly go wrong? ; )

She is mourning a loss when a light is gifted to her. A part of an angel’s soul.

She’s transported into another world. A dimension whose magic feels so in tune to her. Yet, the world is occupied by demons and mythical creatures whose monstrosities she cannot even begin to fathom. There, she meets two unicorns.

They tell her of the angel’s soul which was shattered by the Iron Prince. He cursed the angel and formed a pact with a demon. Demon aura runs through his veins and he is now eager to fulfill his own ambitions.  And Nezha currently owns the soul’s light and must find the pieces.

Nezha vows to avenge her loved one master her powers and keep the haunted Iron Prince from ruling with an iron hand. Before the perils in their world spread like wildfire over the land and her heart.

Prepare to join them in their journey. No one is as they seem and shadows and demons are looming behind the light in this new epic fantasy.

Are you Psyched?

I am totally psyched!

I hope you liked the explanation with the GIFS. I wanted to update on here about the book and let others have a peek into what the book holds.

Until next time! Peace and take care.

Progress and Update

Hey everyone! Here’s a progress update.

2nd Book Inspiration

Today I spent time on Pinterest for my second book in my Psyche Twist Series. I found some inspirational pictures for different Characters. One of them was Amaya. She’s the water loving Japanese girl. The other is her fiancée Tamaki. If you check out my Pinterest, you can see all the pictures of them. I wish I could put up a Pinterest board on my website! What can I say, I’m a visual learner! I love writing, but pictures always enrich everything for me.

Next was the crow demon. The bold and striking beauty Rana—with her wine red lips. It was fun finding pictures of her with feathers. She sometimes gives even me the chills! You’ll get more of her in the second book, since in the first, she just makes her appearance.

Progress

I currently have my headphones in—they help me concentrate and keep the outside noise away—I wanted to post an update so everyone can see the progress of the second book! I’m currently on page 4 of the first chapter. It’s my first draft for it, so it may be a little slow in the beginning. I’m focused on the story so hopefully I won’t get too many blocks as I write.

Until next time,

Smiles and Inspiration
