How Asgard Park came to be
I wanted to visit Albania after the death of its communist dictator Horxha when the xenophobic government was falling apart. Visas were impossible to obtain so I flew in to see the situation, arranging for their Minister for Sport to meet me. The man was delayed and had not seen fit to inform anybody so I was guarded by soldiers with worn machine guns out on the airport tarmac. It was my only time as an enemy of State. I traveled across Albania and saw the misery for myself, the silent despair, and when I left, I had the passport of the Minister for Sport and family in my pocket. This former wrestler, hoping to emigrate, was so terrified that he broke down and vomited while seeing me off. That more than anything brought home to me how much people feared the State and how vulnerable even high officials were. Earlier, this passport treachery would have cost his family a lifetime in the camps. But what about the common folks that were destitute of any rights in a country where faith was treason. Were there holdouts among them that put a secret trust in God? And could God be trusted?
I started writing Asgard Park on returning to the safety and comfort of my splendid patrician villa in a fashionable seaside resort in Sweden; in another world.

The New Age of Ignorance
Back in the days, Nero and Caligula both knew that
leaders can always give the people what they want; if you first took care to tell
them what they want. Our politicians have learned this lesson; in hundreds of Coliseums,
the games are afoot any time, day or night. Just name your titillation. Spend your
time submerged in sitcoms and, if your brow arches higher, there is a sea of television
news claiming they are what you want. The facts are brought to you wrapped
in enough interpretations and opinions to neutralize their impact; a satisfying
but pacifying experience.
The internet with Wikipedia and Google is a wonderful
tool that can get us to the naked facts which bodes well for the future. The
flipside is that the wisdom of the coliseum crowd has reached tidal proportions.
A democracy must reach a critical mass of practical people in order to keep the
ignorant from tearing holes in the social fabric. There are many indications
that the coliseum crowd is winning this battle. Democracy has become scuffed at
the edges and prudent voters are relegated to the back of the hall. The
odor of ignorance is in the air.

Einstein, the unwilling prophet.
Again we witness the words of a prophet posthumously
revised. Of course, the less palatable opinions of prophets have always been removed by
latter day disciples in all religions but the task of science is not the defense
of ancient beliefs but a continued search for new truths. For a century now,
the Church of Science has used its purse strings to foster inbred unquestioning soldiers.
Have you noticed how often the mantra ‘Einstein was right’ is used to avoid
criticism of dodgy 'discoveries’ ranging from gravity waves to God Particles. Science
accedes that no credible foundation exists for the early phases of the Big Bang; using the euphemism 'poorly understood’ to soften the blow of this embarrassing fact. That all thoughts on the actual corporeal nature of matter and energy are discouraged does not stop otherwise brilliant people from piling mathematical scaffolding
upon the existing quicksand. Does anybody care what drove inflation to outgun gravity during the post-Planck
epochs below nanometer size after the physical laws woke from their singularity
slumber in a 'black hole’ of all Universal mass? Are we really
supposed to thank a charitable God who decided that enough was enough and
turned on the light by a miracle so that we could all have
successful carriers?
Einstein would have scoffed at this
lucrative game and probably spent a lifetime looking for a foundation without monetary
enumeration. He asked to be cremated on the day of his death and have his ashes
scattered at some unknown place. Perhaps he foresaw disciples erecting marble shrines
to cement their own sway over science. The betrayal of a prophet is nothing new.

THE SCREEN SCRIPT NOVEL POSTTRAUMATIC
I was asked why my new novel Posttraumatic is so much shorter than my earlier Asgard Park and I want to share the answer.
Asgard Park got great reviews but many told me is was taxing to deal with so many leading characters in subordinate situations that fractured the story line. You had to be on your toes or you got lost.
As an engaged writer, I already understood the mosaic I was laying but for the reader, the bits would remain a puzzle until they came together at the end.
I realized that if I were to write another novel, it would be advisable not to lead the readers along such an equestrian jumping trail but give them a easier read without skimping on the quality. The question was how to reign in an author bursting with ideas and keep his many sidesteps in context.
Having the premise of the Posttraumatic novel in my head, I decided to write it first as a movie script to keep me on the straight and narrow. Little did I realize what a straitjacket that format is; a hundred pages of spare text to deliver an entire story and dialogue across to a reader.
When I had this script skeleton finished, I had a story structure that did not stray from the mainline injection of its premise. First then, in the absence of moving pictures, did I start writing the novel itself and relay the inner life of its main characters . And must I say what a lean, mean, tongue in cheek story Posttraumatic turned out to be.

Cern - the new Stonehenge
It struck me with
astounding clarity the other day that all of us possess a front row seat in witnessing
the construction of a religious landmark of monumental proportions . The
purpose of this ceremonial site is certain to baffle coming generations for many
a millennia after the answers die with us.
We are witnessing the
construction of another Stonehenge, far grander
that the first one; another monument erected for the same reason; the unwillingness
to apply common sense. The new landmark is called Cern and it is magnificent.
Is it not remarkable how
we humans are destined to repeat our mistakes by setting grand religious canons
in stone and clinging to them instead of coming down to Earth for a closer look.
Common sense may seem crude but it has brought us wisdom for a hundred
millennia.
The new malaise in physics
comes from two competing roadmaps with passionate soldiers using the best
mathematical weapons. A hundred years ago , there was place for two warlords and
the banners of Einstein and Bohr flew above the battlefield and fundamental physics
have been in the trenches ever since with no end in sight.
All we have today is a
behavioral theory called the Standard Model that can statistically predict how the mysterious ‘things’ called mass and energy react when brought into close proximity. In
fact the Standard Model does not have the slightest idea what corporeal mass or energy actually is. Even such mundane things as the size of the common Proton remains a mystery.
There is of course a
String Theory attempting to tell us something but their leaders are dancing at
the Versailles court dressed in mathematical garments so finely woven that
common folks cannot even see them. It may take a selfless child to tell them that
the Cardinals are naked.
Those of you who actually read
the first 40 pages of the Primal Code and ponder the consequences will realize without math where
Einstein and Bohr went wrong. But be aware, on a road less travelled, your invitation
to the banquet at Stonehenge may never arrive.

FUNHOUSE QUANTUM MIRRORS
A married couple walks
through a room of funny mirrors at the carnival. The man who is a no nonsense bloke, tells
his wife who is an emminent physicist that he has never seen anything so disorganized,
‘this must be like the quantum world your are always on about’.
'No’, she
replies smiling, 'the reflections here reach you by way of a curved material
layer that distorts the input to show you a preposterous picture. If we know
the curvature of the mirrors, we can calculate the result to rectify the image. Then you see how perfectly natural it is’.
The man thinks about
that for a while and asks 'what if there is some material layer between us and
the quantum world that is distorting the image. Can’t you rectify the image by
calculating the effect’.
Don’t be silly dear,
says the wife,’ there are no material layers in the quantum world; it is all chaotic
and preposterous by nature’. Walking smiling through the
hall of funny mirrors, neither of them noticed the elephant in the room.

TRUE RELATIVITY
Relativity in
three-dimensional space holds a surprise when the first two primal atoms of
matter and antimatter are split out of part zero with a relative coordinate
movement that is both linear and rotational (true of any two objects when alone
in a Universe). The instinct of a modern physicist at this moment is to start
calculating, a mistake that has landed fundamental physics in a rut. What is
shown to us at this bare moment is a glimpse of true relativity.
One question cannot be
answered; which of the two atoms is moving away. Is one atom moving away while
the other remains at standstill. There is no way to tell. From the vantage
point of either atom (for an observer in our minds eye), the question of relative
rotation cannot be answered either. From one atom, the other appears to be orbiting
but from that atom, the other may simply be seen to rotate on its axis (with
any relevant blend of these two observations).
Without a third
independent observation point, there is no way to tell. But another observation
point cannot change the situation except by making it more complicated. There will
never be any way to tell.
Distance and time are being
shown to us in their simplest elegant form as a relation, the division of one non-corporeal
concept into another. Atom radius can be used to measure an increasing distance
between two atoms. This gives us a measure of distance. One atom
rotation can be used as a benchmark to measure time by how many rotations it
takes to reach any given distance at the linear speed.
The mathematics of time
and distance exists solely in our minds. The mathematical model for space-time
continuum where time has the role of a fourth dimension may be useful as long
as you realize that it is not reality. It would be far better to build a
mathematical model based on true relativity.

MEASURE THE SPEED OF GRAVITY
The
Primal Code is based on primal speed that is immensely greater than light speed.
The theory would be left in tatters if the speed of gravity does not follow the
same pattern. A race between light and gravity can be easily set up. Twice a
year, Earth’s orbit around the Sun allows a straightest possible line from Earths
center through the Solar center to Jupiter that affects Earth with gravity above
the sensitivity of one ngal and is far enough from Earth to give light some
travel time. If the Standard Model is correct, with the Sun between the planets,
the rising line on the gravity chart, as Earth passes into the most perfect
line, does not start to drop until light arrives at Earth some thirty to forty
minutes later. According to the Primal Code, the line on the gravity chart starts
to drop instantly as Earth passes out of a most perfect line. Earth speed in
orbit will of course seriously limit the working time of this experiment.
