And The Winner Is...
My first Goodreads giveaway ended today. It's bittersweet, really; I had a new webpage to obsessively check, as if each new entry reflected in any way upon myself as a writer.
Of course, it didn't. It was all about the book.
And...the winner of said book is...DIANA MORAN! Congratulations and thank you, Diana. The book is in the mailbox. The only thing to stand between you and this great book is the United States Postal Service. :)
"Rapunzel's Daughters" is an anthology published by Pink Narcissus Press. I sponsored the giveaway in a little show of Editor Love, since PNP will be releasing my debut novel, urban fantasy "BLEEDING HEARTS: Book One of the Demimonde"
in early 2012.
Over 800 people entered the giveaway, which means there must be a lot of disappointed people this morning. I'm sorry. But look on the bright side: Pink Narcissus Press has a bunch of copies they'd like to get to you. Clink on this bitty link. You know you wanna.
Thanks again to everyone who entered. I can't wait to have another giveaway soon...
Cheers!

Bete Noire Magazine Issue 4...
Bete Noire brings you more of the best in dark fiction, poetry and art.
Editor: AW Gifford
In this issue: Mary Ann Back, Bruce Boston, Eric Del Carlo, Richard H. Fay, Ash Krafton, Kristine Ong Muslim, John Davies, Brian L. Hurrel, Rosewall, John Tustin, Tom Sawyer, Sue Ann Connaughton and Shelly Li
This magazine has become one of my favorite publications. The editor has a knack for putting together collections that absolutely just jive with me as a reader. As a writer, I love that my work jives with him, too. (I'm celebrating my third acceptance. Woots!)
Issue 4 has my poem "Finality" in it. It's perhaps one of my favorite works. Please enjoy.
I hope readers will pick up an issue or two and I hope writers will check out the submission guidelines below. It's a great market and a beautiful place to display our words.
ABOUT THE MAGAZINE:
Editor's note: We here at Bete Noire are looking for stories that are well written, character driven and have a dark bent to them. We are open to most genres as long as they have a dark side. This includes horror, dark sci-fi, dark fantasy, crime, mystery or dark humor. However, vampires plus sparkle equals rejection. Please don't send us sword & sorcery or space operas. Tolkien and Lucas have their place, but not here...
View Bete Noire's full submission guidelines.
As always, visit Duotrope's Digest to log in your submission responses.
=)
