A Romantica® historical erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave
EXCERPT
It wasn’t long before she’d trounced on his toes. She was an abysmal dancer, he discovered, almost gratified to find something at which she did not excel. For it surely seemed to him that in most ways, his wife was perfection. She laughed up at him, the happiest he’d seen her, and it struck him that this was what she’d meant. Unabashed, raw happiness. Her cheeks were flushed, her coiffure hopelessly defeated, the silk of her blue gown perhaps ruined forever, and yet she was glowing, tilting her head back to laugh as if she didn’t care who heard her. It was infectious, and soon he was laughing along with her as they twirled and she trod on his instep.
“Devil take it, you’re a horrid dancer,” he told her as she laughed at another misstep.
“I am,” she admitted easily. “A proper gentleman would keep that observation to himself.”
“I begin to think I’m not a proper gentleman.” He stopped them and yanked her into his body, tipping up her wet chin with his fingers. “After all, a proper gentleman wouldn’t do this.”
He kissed her, through the rain and the cold and the fear that he was falling under the spell of the tiny American in his arms. Her hands flitted to his shoulders, her mouth opening to him. Their tongues tangled. He relished the crush of her breasts against his chest, the heavy weight of her skirts against his painfully hard cock. She smelled of roses and autumn.
He wasn’t going to last much longer. He had to have her.

Welcome M/M erotic romance writer, Sam B. Morgan...

BLURB:Detective Douglas Brody has only ever known the life of a cop. Raised strict but fair by his police chief father, he joined the academy right out of school, climbed the ranks hard and fast, and now works homicide for the City of Charleston.  The job is his entire life. For years it’s kept him happy enough to minimize the side of him that craves what he believes is wrong. When an accident on the job puts him temporarily off duty, everything in Brody’s world changes. He has to prove himself once more to be best cop in the department, all while dealing with Zack – his persistent, sexy, and out of the closet physical therapist.
Zack is big grins, floppy hair and tackles his job with the same full-blown enthusiasm he does everything else. When the “patient from hell” is thrown his way by another PT who can’t handle him, Zack is committed to achieving the impossible.  His new patient is a head strong and hot as hell homicide detective, who oozes as much resentment as he does sex appeal. Any involvement with a patient, never mind a man who is so deep in the closet he can’t see light,  is something Zack swore he’d never do again.
But Brody slowly proves too much to resist…
ExcerptHe could work out a resting heart rate from this, listening to the strong thumps, quickly glancing down at his watch. Decent. Resting below sixty. Brody was fit. A lot more fit than he gave himself credit for. The muscles in his chest were defined, and that didn’t come from police work. He had to work out regularly.
The meat of Zack’s hand rested on his broad chest, fingers moving on the swell of his pectorals as they rose and fell with each breath. The stir in his shorts brought him back front and center to the fact that this wasn’t the best idea. Leaning over his very attractive and touch-phobic patient. Even if all he intended to do was see if the man could lighten up. Maybe even laugh.
He wasn’t laughing now. When Zack lifted his eyes to Brody’s, he was hit with the full intensity of stormy gray. Not filled with amusement anymore but with something else.
It sent heat down Zack’s spine and into his shoes. He wasn’t even listening to the beats, just frozen in place with the buds in his ears, fingers still pressed to Brody’s chest as they stared at each other. The humor of the moment fell away as Brody continued to stare, arms still folded behind his head, mouth set into a straight line.
Zack straightened a tad too sharply and tucked the scope around his neck. Pulling his face into a rehearsed, easy smile, he hid the heat thrumming in his veins. “Yeah. You’ll live.” He started backing toward the door and gave a lame salute that made him want to cringe. God he was such a spaz. “I…I’ll see you next week.”
He rushed to exit stage left, narrowly missing the doorframe on the way out.
~*~
Zack could be downright pushy when he went into healthcare-professional mode. Brody wasn’t used to being told what to do. The small voice inside him that rejoiced in response was the one he hated most. He clenched his eyes shut and relaxed his leg.
“Good,” Zack said, his voice low as he focused.
He scooted himself up, knelt down, and hooked Brody’s knee over his arm, placing one hand at the back of his thigh, the other on the front. Brody tensed everywhere. He didn’t mean to, he probably shouldn’t, but he couldn’t help it.
“Relax. Hey,” Zack said and didn’t say another word until Brody opened his eyes and met Zack’s gaze. “Relax. The cramp comes right back if you’re tense. Trust me.”
Brody nodded again because it was all he could manage. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Zack. Oddly enough, he did. But he didn’t trust himself. He didn’t like being in someone else’s hands—yet he did. He wasn’t comfortable with the vulnerability, but he was. And the position he was in was more than a tad suggestive. Except, of course, to someone like Zack. Zack, who only saw physiology, muscles, and ice packs. Cramps instead of sexual tension. Charlie horses instead of thighs.
“Good,” Zack repeated as Brody relaxed.
Brody focused on the trees to his left and tried not to think about the man between his legs or the hands all over him. It made him wonder about the next time he could get out of town.
“Is this helping?” Zack asked.
“Huh? Oh…yeah. Thanks,” Brody answered without looking at him.
Zack didn’t say anything. Didn’t move. Didn’t seem to breathe.
Brody knew it was his way of making Brody either talk or look at him or pay attention. Drove him fucking nuts, but it worked. Brody turned his head to glare at Zack like a pissed-off delinquent, but when his eyes found Zack, Zack wasn’t looking back.
Zack’s gaze was somewhere below Brody’s waist, dragging along one thigh, then the other. His attention lingered there, and Brody felt it all the way through his skin. It wasn’t professional Zack checking out his alignment either. Far from.
Something different, something hungry flashed in the deep brown of Zack’s eyes. Brody felt a lick of pure heat drag up his spine and back down. Straight to his groin. He didn’t know what he did to make Zack meet his eyes. He didn’t flinch or gasp or do anything besides remain frozen in place. Still, Zack looked at him, his eyes weaving a tale that had nothing to do with physical therapy.
Grasping fingers, slick skin, entwined bodies, and the kind of intensity that hurt so good you’d want it again and again. It sparked between them and hung in the air, thicker than the midsummer humidity. Brody recognized the same lust that continued to torture him right there in Zack’s eyes.

Welcome erotic romance writer, Kate Deveaux...

1)  What kind of music do you like?
I like a mix of Jazz, Instrumental and Rock, depending on my mood. A child of the early 80’s I love Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Pretenders… all that good stuff.
2)  Describe your dream home…
What a great question! I think it would be anywhere on the ocean and has to be warm, so Caribbean or Hawaii or Bora Bora. I picture a sprawling open air house, with high vaulted ceilings, and a breezy tropical décor. And of course — a killer bathroom, open to the outdoors with tropical flowers and the sound of the ocean. Something like Lawrence’s place in Hawaii (Academy of Love). J
3)  Favorite literary hero & heroine?
Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester.
4)   What are you reading now?
I’ve got a bunch on the go on my Kindle. Here’s what I’ve got lined up currently: Sleeping With Paris (Juliete Sobanet), Take Me (J. Kenner), While We Were Watching Downton Abbey (Wendy Wax), Grand Slam (Lucy Felthouse and Lily Harlem)and Revenge(Jasmine Haynes).
5)  How many books have your written?  Which is your favourite?
I’ve written ten books, not all are published yet, but will be soon. Picking a favorite is like picking your favorite child a bit. J If I had to name just one, then it would have to be SAIL AWAY WITH ME,  not only the setting and the sizzling sex scenes, but secondary characters were a blast to write.
6)  What comes first, plot or characters?
I’d like to say plot, but they sort of come at once. As soon as I get a hint of a plot I can see the hero and heroine plain as day in my imagination. Then I start pondering the more complex issues of the story.
7)  Do you ever suffer from writer’s block?
Fingers and toes crossed – lucky so far not to suffer from it.
8)  Twitter or Facebook? Why?
Twitter, it’s fast and up to minute so I can follow many feeds at once and quickly retweet.
10) What’s next for you?
I’m busy finishing up several books and have a few great ideas for new stories I’m just starting on. Keep your eyes open for BRIDE UNDONE, release Summer 2014 with Ellora’s Cave. It’s about A bride who take “I DO” to a whole new level – just not with the groom. BIMINI BOUND AND HOT AS HADES should be ready for publication soon!
Thanks so much for having me, great questions!
Best,Katexx

Note to my readers:

There is nothing quite as exciting as a first love and nothing quite as painful as it’s ending. It’s a theme I think many readers can relate to in the heroine and the hero of this story, Cassianna and Lawrence. And the proper girl’s boarding school is something I can relate to from first hand experience. And I can assure you there is nothing prim and proper about what goes on between Lawrence and Cassianna at the Academy! What happens when ex lovers meet years later -- will the attraction burn as hot? Or will it be scorching?

EROTIC GOES OLD SCHOOL in ACADEMY OF LOVE….
Their love sizzled until he broke her heart when he left her with no explanation. She abandoned her riding dreams and left the Academy with no plans to ever return. When the two lovers are reunited at the Academy, they discover their attraction is unrelenting and sex even hotter than before. Conflicted by her deep sexual desire for him burned by their painful past, Cassianna convinces herself to give into their passion. Just once. No strings attached.

Cassianna and Lawrence play with fire when they reunite and find out the sex is red hot. Careful! Don’t get burned as you turn the pages of their sexy journey.

Welcome erotic romance author, Shaunna Wolf...

Hi, Shaunna! Welcome to my blog - I wish you all the best with the tour and the future! Let's start the interview...

Do you write about what turns you on?
They say the best writing comes from writing what you know.  In  erotica, and romance, or any genre for that matter, if you are bored with it, or it doesn’t affect your emotions in some way, then how is it going to affect the reader?  I deplore any scene that reads like a text book or something someone saw on a hot to video.  And that holds true especially in a sex scene.
If we were to come to your house for a meal, what would you give us to eat?
Fry bread with my grandmother’s chili recipe.  She made the chili in her truck stop, and it has been passed down to me, I’ve changed it a little over the years, but it always tastes like home to me, and everyone who has tried it loves it.
Are you a romantic?
In some ways.  I like romance, but at the same time, I don’t prefer snuggling, what most people see as romance, to making out.  Give me romance and hot sex together.
Do you listen to music when you're writing?
Always.  Every book I have ever written has its own sound track, I start with one song, and then build from there.  I used to drive everyone nuts playing that one song or group of songs, over and over and over, I hated headphones.  But now that they have the noise canceling little ear buds, I live in them.  So much so that I get startled by people tapping me on the shoulder while I am writing because I didn’t hear them.
Do you ever read your stories out loud?
Always. This is the best way to find things that are wrong, Awkward sentences, misspelled words, or misused words, they jump out when you read it out loud.  You stumble over those sentences that don’t quite work, actions that are bizarre, and find missing punctuation.
LIFE FLIGHTby Shaunna Wolf

BLURB:
Malachi Blackfeather has spent twenty years in the Army. Two of those years as a Vietnam POW. Now that he's out, all he wants is some peace and quiet to figure out what to do with the rest of his life. Between the flashbacks, and an over interest in sex that is now being called sex addiction, finding his path isn't easy.

Kat is trying to escape an abusive marriage. Her soon to be ex is a master at manipulating the system, and her family thinks she should stay with him, "because no other man will want her". She's looking for escape in any form she can get it.

When they meet, sparks fly. Trapped by a blizzard, can two damaged people, who think there is no chance of love in the world for them, find each other, and survive an unforeseen circumstance that puts both of them in danger?

Mystery, romance, and danger, fill this novel, with a story that will draw you in and not let go.
EXCERPT
The heater stood dark and cold.  I should have gotten up after we were done.  Filled it and restarted it.  I hadn’t wanted to move.  Still didn’t want to, despite the cold in the room.  Dim light streamed in through the window, sleety snow still battered the glass.  Shook the door in its frame.  How long could this blizzard go on?
I tightened my arms around Kat.  Forever.  Then she would have to stay right in this room with me--in my arms.  Nothing made sense, everything my life had been for the last twenty-five years rang like a bad dream, a nightmare from the pits of Vietnam.  So dead inside that any feeling fed me, woman after woman, man after man, no one let me hold on to what I felt for more than a few shared moments.  Lies whispered to the tiny ember of my soul that I had left.  This is the one, they told me, this one will make you feel, will bring you back to life.
They never did.
Kat ran her hand down my arm.  Snuggled closer to me.  A chill that had nothing to do with how cold the room had become, shook me.  Spoke to me.  I could again with her, and I knew I would keep feeling what I was.  Alive.  Warm.  As if I had a soul inside me, not just a demon who preyed on others for my next fix of emotions.
“I should fill that heater and get us some warmth again.”
“Yeah, I suppose one of us should,” she said with no intention to do so in her voice.  I tightened the bear’s embrace I held her in, tangled my legs with hers.  She pushed at my arm, wanted to make me let go of her.
“I don’t want to let go of you yet,” I said.  If I let her go, the surging emotions inside me would vanish with the warmth of holding her.

Welcome Ellora's Cave author, A. M. Griffin…

1)   What is the best and worse thing you have learned from an editor/agent?
When I wrote my first book Dangerously Mine, I had no clue how to write a book and what it entailed. I just wrote it and submitted it. My first editor, bless her heart, accepted it and gave me a list of issues to work on. And man, oh man, was it a hefty list. It had all kinds of things on there that I didn’t recognize. One was dialogue tags, she wanted me to fix them. Okay, but what the heck are dialogue tags? And secondly, she wanted me to find a critique partner, someone who would help me develop my book. My first thought was really? There are people out there who would do that for me? LOL. I learned so much from the first editor.
2)   What is your typical day?Hectic. I work full-time and I’m a full-time wife and mother. When I’m actively writing I’m able to start at around 7 and I write until about midnight or later, go sleep and wake up to just do it again. But I do it not because I have to, but because I love it and I like seeing the finished product.
3)   What do you read while in the midst of a project? Or don’t you?No, I don’t read while I’m working on a book. It’s too distracting and I have few hours in the day to work on my writing as it is. But, when I am between projects I will indulge. I just finished all three books in the Enders game series and a historical romance. I adore historicals, anything with regency romance and Scottish Highland warriors do it for me.
4)    What do you do with a paperback once you’ve read it?If its one that I know my mother would enjoy I give it to her. Once she’s done with it she gives it to the library in her apartment building. If it’s one that I don’t think she’ll enjoy or one that I particularly love, I keep it for my personal library. But I do have to admit that my bookshelf is quite overflowing.5)    Are you nervous about friends reading your book?Heck no! I want them to read it. I need the Amazon numbers! LOL. I’m not ashamed of anything that I do. My friends and family are eagerly anticipating my releases. The best text messages are from friends and family who text me about the book and the characters and describe a situation like it’s my first time knowing about it. It usually starts off with, “I can't believe (fill in the blank) did that!” I love it.6)    What things inspire you to write? Location, music, film or even in a book?Hmm…none of those things. I right to hush the voices in my head. My characters are very vocal and only quiet when I’m telling their story. After I finish their story I feel a sense of accomplishment.
7)   Share your blurb or short excerpt from your latest release with usWill be provided by Goddess Fish
8)    What’s next for you?I’m in edits with the fourth book in the Loving Dangerously series titled Dangerously His and I’m one week from submitting the fifth book titled Dangerously Forever. Dangerously His is about two people who want to be together but are being separated by forces they can’t control. Dangerously Forever is the story where Eva (from Dangerously Mine) and her best friend Allysan finally reunite. It’s definitely not the end of the series. There are still so many worlds and characters to explore.

The feel of his skin against hers, the look in his eyes as he touches her—they make her want to believe it’s possible to find love and begin again.
A Romantica® science fiction erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave
EXCERPT
Rasha raised it out of her grasp. “You should never try to take a warrior’s weapon.”
She pulled her hand back in record speed. “I wasn’t trying to take it. I wanted to feel it.”
He lowered his weapon in front of her.
She flicked her hand out nonchalantly. “Never mind. You're acting like it’s been kissed by Jesus or something.”
“Who?”
“Forget about it. It’s precious, I get it.”
“There’s no reason to get upset. If you no longer want to touch this weapon, I have another…weapon…you can touch.”
She shifted on her feet, feeling the bumbling idiot trying to rise to the surface. “No, thank you.” Yes, please.
He ran his hands down his muscular thighs. “Another time then?”
Jess had the fleeting thought of him running his hands on her. Oh jeez, how good would those hands feel on me.
“Hmm?”
“I shall leave you alone. I’m sure you have plenty of work to do.”
“Alone? again?” As she spoke, she immediately wanted to take the words back.
He cocked his head. “I could stay if you wish. Eva said you would need ‘space’ in the beginning.”
She snorted. The sound wasn’t pretty at all. She might as well have oinked like a pig while she was at it. “I don’t wish you to stay.”
“Really? Are you sure? We could do something about that.”
Was his voice always this deep?
She picked at her hair nervously. “About what?”
He inhaled sharply. “I can smell you.” Then he let his gaze drop to crotch.

Welcome M/M erotic romance writers, V L Moon & J T Cheyanne...

A pulse of light preceded the gift of life breathed into the coldest and darkest of souls. Bathed in the glow of celestial love and swathed in a blanket of black satin wings nestled a king among kings, a vampire born to destroy the decay threatening to eradicate the race he was destined to save.

An angelic heart torn by yearning, suffering and pain throbbed to the rhythm of the life he created; a life prophesied in the scriptures by the Creator’s own hand. A vow of servitude given in blood sealed the fate of a Seraphim's heart and tied it eternally to the creation he craves, protects…loves.

Ancient treaties are lost and reborn, rising from the ashes as the Nephilim ravage the vampire race. The deviant desire that soared in Malachi Denali's blood threatens to bring Rome to its knees when Malachi's world, his soul and his heart are brutally shattered and torn apart.

Will purity born of an angel's love be enough to calm the savage mind of Malachi Denali? Or will Laziel be doomed to a life of purgatory for loving the life he was gifted to create…

This is not a HEA, or even a HFN....Who knows what will happen to seal their fate...only time will tell. Vampires, angels, demons and wolves together with love, betrayal, sadness and yearning make up the ongoing story that is...

The Crimson Nights Saga.

Excerpt –
“Your Excellency, Malachi Azarian Denali, King of the Vampire race.” The deep intonations of the man at the Pope’s side subsided into nothing at the casual wave of the papal hand.

“We’ve been introduced, Gabriel. Numerous times.” Before the affronted man could object, Pope Gregori XVII stepped forward and clasped Lachi’s hand warmly. “Sorry, for such short notice, Malachi. Can we walk just a moment?”

Malachi nodded once, and met the angel’s piercing gaze. He swept a pointed glance at Gabriel. Laziel smirked and stepped between the hovering secretary and the Pope.

“What the…,” Gabriel sputtered. “I have to go with him.”

“What you have to do is stay where you are, unless you want to try a little one on one time with this celestial.” The quiet menace in Laziel’s voice and the mental image of his own personal time with the angel sent a tingle of awareness down Malachi’s spine. He tamped down his body’s eager response when Gregori's low whisper caught his ear.

“I’m not sure it is safe to talk here. The very walls have ears, as the saying goes.”

“Not anymore, they don’t.”

The Pope chuckled. “Wish I could do that.”

“We’ve had this discussion before Gregori.”

Another quick laugh spilled forth. “I thank you for the offer yet again, my friend, but the answer is still no.” Out of earshot of the human, but still within Laziel’s range, his face grew serious and he sighed. “The Vatican and the church are rife with venality. I’m not sure who around me I can trust with the exception of my God, you and Laziel.” He stopped at the window and gazed out into the night sky. “I’ll be blunt. You have a traitor in your midst, vampire. A high ranking one, if I guess correctly.”

“Tell me what you know.”

“This morning, I received an email, my personal account of which few have knowledge or access. It spews tales of corruption and deceit in the vampire court, and hinted at trouble during your last Elder meeting. It’s unsigned and to my limited experience untraceable.”

Malachi stood stoic giving no indication of the fury flashing like wildfire through his veins. In deference to the holy man at his side, he harnessed the snarl and the curse that coiled in his throat. “Darklon.” The immoral bastard was upping the stakes, stepping outside the vampire realm. In the grand scheme of things, it was taboo to reveal anything vampiric to the humans. To do so invited instant death. Malachi’s gut twisted with hatred for the male that dogged his steps causing havoc and mayhem while maintaining a pristine image. There would be no proof, no way to tie the email to the Elder, but it stank of his touch. Only he would be deranged enough or smug enough to contact the humans and expect to profit. A more ominous thought struck. If he’d come to some agreement with the humans, Nephilim would not be far behind. As if he sensed the inner turmoil, Gregori laid a hand on Malachi’s arm then quickly withdrew casting a glance back over his shoulder at the angel.

“You have nothing to fear from Laziel. If he thought you were a threat, he’d never have left my side.” Absently, Malachi reassured the male and rested a hand on the Pope’s shoulder. He tossed his own gaze toward the angel, and smothered a smile that threatened when the cheeky bastard winked at him.

Welcome Total Bound author, N.R. Walker...

Media Kit for Clarity of Lines Blog TourBy N.R. WalkerJanuary 2 - 9Book Promotions by Literary Nook
1)   Did you set any goals for 2014?
I try not to set goals or new year’s resolutions, but rather just see what I can get done. 2013 was a bit of a fail for me - I had too much going on in RL, too much pressure and my writing suffered because of that. 2014 will be more about less stress and making writing fun again.
2)   Who or what has been your biggest influence as a writer?
Well, the voices/characters in my head make me write, but I really find the other writers I chat to on social media to be my biggest influence. There’s a great sense of family within the m/m writing community and we all encourage and support one another. They’ve been my greatest influence yet.
3)   How long does it take you to write a 50,000-60,000 word manuscript?
I can normally write 50K-60K  words in a month. I also work full-time and have two primary school aged kids, so I keep fairly busy.
4)   Tell us about a new author you’ve recently discovered
Jay Northcote, Con Riley, Teegan Loy and Posy Roberts. All Dreamspinner authors who really have a way with words.
5)   Name two romances you’ve read more than once
Tell Me it’s Real by TJ Klune – Makes me laugh every time.

6)   Tell us about your first car
It was a ’73 LJ Torana. It was a Kermit green tank.   Clarity of Lines Blurb:Book two in the Thomas Elkin series.Sometimes it’s not the two people in a relationship who fight falling in love, sometimes it’s those who love us that fight against it the most. Finally together, forty-four year old Tom, and twenty-two year old Cooper, are ready to show the world they’re together.  They’ve established their relationship is worth it, and want to share it with their families. Both men thought accepting the age difference was their adversity to overcome, and theirs alone. Their loved ones, however, will prove them wrong. For their families, lines are drawn and start blur.  Through a series of events, life shakes Tom’s foundations, the lines for him have never been clearer.
The Thomas Elkin Series Blurb:When successful New York architect, forty-four year old Thomas Elkin meets twenty-two year old intern Cooper Jones, he had no idea how much his life would change. The blueprints on love, life and careers are sent back to the drawing board as both men realize their plans are about to be re-drawn forever.Generation versus generation, traditional versus contemporary, they’re about to prove to the world that the old and new can be the perfect design.Goodreads Link - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18754176-clarity-of-linesBuy Links – Totally Bound - https://www.totallybound.com/clarity-of-lines Excerpt:“You nervous?” I asked him.He looked surprised by my question. “No. Should I be?”I smiled at his confidence. “I just don’t think Sofia will be very understanding. No matter what she says, just remember, I’m on your side.”“Ryan’s mom always liked me,” he said.“She likes you as Ryan’s friend, yes,” I told him. “But as my boyfriend…”He shrugged. “And all the guys who’ll be here this weekend?” he asked. “All Ryan’s friends, some of my friends, they’ll all be here too. We’re meeting them as a couple too.”Shit. I hadn’t given that a thought. Then Cooper took his hand off my thigh and looked out of the window as he spoke. “If you don’t want to…”I pulled the car off to the side of the road, right near the driveway to the Casa. I think I startled him. He looked at me, wide-eyed. “Cooper, listen to me,” I said seriously. “I don’t care what anyone else thinks. I know some people will have a hard time with us being together, because we’re gay men, and because of the age difference. But I don’t care. I’m proud to call you my boyfriend. For the life of me I can’t figure out why you’d want to be with me, but you do, and I’m more than happy to walk in there, holding your hand. But I don’t want you to feel pressured.”“I don’t feel pressured,” he said. “And I can’t figure out why you’d want to be with me either, but you do.”I nodded. “Yes, I do.”He smiled, and leaned over the console and kissed me. “Thank you.”I sighed and looked out of the windshield. “Well, this is it.”Cooper followed my gaze, to the stone gate posts, to the chiselled sandstone sign on the post that read Casa de Elkin.“It’s named after you?”I nodded. “I designed this house,” I told him. “We named it Casa de Elkin, but have called it the Casa for years.”Cooper gave me a weak smile. “Well then,” he said, trying to sound upbeat. “Let’s do this.”I slipped the car into first gear and pulled into the drive. I parked the car near the closed garage doors and by the time I’d popped the trunk, Ryan was walking out to meet us. He gave me a bit of a hug, then bumped fists with Cooper. “Hey,” he said. “Most of the guys will get here in the morning. Mom said it might be better if they all crash in the pool room, or wherever they pass out,” he said with a knowing smile. “But you guys have a guest room in the house.”A guest room. Ryan looked at me a little apologetically. “Sorry.”“Don’t you apologise,” I told him. “It’s not my house anymore.”We grabbed our bags and the gift box from the trunk and walked towards the front door. Cooper asked me quietly, “Have you been back here in the last five years?”“I spent two weeks here right after we separated,” I told him. “But not since then.”“Come on,” Ryan said, opening the door. He turned to us and whispered, “Mom’s in the kitchen.”I took a deep breath and followed Ryan through the front living room and into the large open kitchen, where Sofia was dicing fruit. She looked well. She was wearing a white dress and her trademark gold jewellery and her brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She looked at me, then at Ryan and finally at Cooper. She recognised him immediately. “Oh my, Cooper? Is that you?”“Mrs Elkin,” he said politely. She gave me a tight smile, but then leaned in and kissed Cooper’s cheek. “It’s so good to see you. Ryan never mentioned you were coming.” Then she looked at me. “Did you bring Cooper with you? I thought you were bringing your friend.”There was a beat of absolute silence then I said, “I did.” Sofia looked at me then at Ryan and Cooper, then back to me. “I brought Cooper…my boyfriend.”Sofia laughed, but when I took Cooper’s hand, her smile died a slow, painful death. She looked kind of horrified. “Is this some kind of joke?”
Author Bio – I am many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer.I have pretty, pretty boys who live in my head, who don’t let me sleep at night unless I give them life with words.
I like it when they do dirty, dirty things…but I like it even more when they fall in love.
I used to think having people in my head talking to me was weird, until one day I happened across other writers who told me it was normal.
I’ve been writing ever since…Where can you find me?

Welcome Red Sage author, Kate Deveaux...

Welcome, Kate! Great to meet you and to have you visit as a part of your ongoing tour - let's get started with the questions...
1.    What do you wish men understood about women?
Women need to talk. That’s it in a nutshell, plain and simple. By talking we learn, and that’s the key to how a woman reveals her deeper self and trusts a man. But men also need to know women like sex just as much as men do. And we can do it all night long!!! J
2.    Do you only work on one book at a time?
I wish! Gone are the days when I could write one book at a time, now I usually have a few on the go, plus working on edits for books under contract and jotting down details for new book ideas a I have them. Every once in a while I might get a week or two to work on just one book and it’s heaven, really it is.
3.    Who is your favorite fictional couple?
My favorite fictional couple. I love Joan Wilder (played by Kathleen Turner) and Jack Colter (played by Michael Douglas) from Romancing the Stone. I know it’s an oldie and probably dating me in the 80’s but first of all Joan Wilder’s character was a romance writer (who doesn’t love that?) and I think the whole story line of Romancing the Stone was the quintessential romance.
4.    Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
“There’s light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train.”
    5.    Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
I used to set daily writing goals but as I often am juggling a few writing tasks at once in a day I am happy if I write 5 pages or more a day on any given book. Some days are better. Some or worse.
6.    What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?
I like Twitter better I think, the exchange of information is much faster and easier to share.
7.    What are you working on now?
I’m working on HOT AS HADES, a scorcher of an erotic romance set in the Arizona desert in the middle of summer when a “bad boy” meets his new neighbor — an uptight career woman in desperate need of some very good “bad.”

Excerpt
“Hey there, Jody,” he called out.
“Oh, hi….Taggart,” she said with surprise, pretending she hadn’t seen him.
“We really have to stop meeting like this.” He smiled and walked towards her   down the narrow hall dotted with luggage.
She laughed nervously at the cliché that was proving all too true if she was to keep her sanity. “I guess so. Well, this is my room.” She fidgeted with her keycard as he came up beside her.
“Mine’s just down the hall.” Taggart pointed behind him, but he just stood there, his tall frame close to her. She looked up at him, overly aware of the scent of sandalwood, one of her favorites. Very masculine.
“Mmm...coincidence,” she said, the hallway becoming smaller by the minute when he flashed that boyish smile, with one corner of his mouth raised. Cocky, but undeniably sexy at the same time.
Unable to break the gaze, she tried to insert the keycard into the lock, not paying attention to what she was doing. The card grazed the slot and she forced her eyes away from his.
“I guess you didn’t find your friends after all?” he inquired, leaning casually against the wall, as she slid the keycard all the way in the lock.
Caught red handed at her own lie, she smiled down at her shoes. “No, I didn’t.”
“So you can have that drink with me after all,” he stated flatly, placing his hand over hers as she held the key in the lock.
Her heart pounded in her chest. She couldn’t move a muscle. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she said.
He frowned but left his hand on hers. “Because?”
Because? Her mind raced. She couldn’t tell him it was because she was afraid. Afraid how her body trembled when he was near, how her cheeks burned and her sex thrummed.
“I’ll wait,” he said with a devilish grin eyeing the keycard still in the lock.
“I really don’t think it’s a good idea, is all.”
“You already said that,” he said straight faced, but she could see the playful look in his eyes. As he removed his hand, he continued to lean easily on the doorframe, his face close to hers as if he had all the time in the world to wait for her to be ready. He was close enough she could see the barely visible laugh lines when he smiled and the slight five o clock shadow on his chiseled jaw.
“Look Taggart,” she said, just saying his name made her heart beat faster. “I’m not ready for…” her heart beat rapidly thinking about just what she wasn’t ready for… to be intimate with a man.
“Ready for what?” he teased. A flush of desire rushed through her. He was playing with her, flirting with her.

Welcome erotic romance writer, Cari Silverwood...

1)            Who or what has been your biggest influence as a writer? That’s a really difficult question as I’ve had so many influences. Every great book I’ve ever read influenced me to some extent. The way they were written no doubt leached into my brain. There is no person close to me who encouraged me to write so my influences have been a combination of my own love of reading and stories and a desire to have a good book published.Authors who influenced me range from Cherise Sinclair and Jacqueline Carey, to Robert Heinlein, Iain M. Banks, Stephen King, and Terry Pratchett.2)            How long does it take you to write a 50,000-60,000 word manuscript? If you include the thinking at the start, probably two to three months. The actual writing tends to accelerate as I get deeper into the story and properly understand the characters and the way the plot moves. It took me three years to finish my very first book – a fantasy.I don’t write too many books that short, but if 60,000 words long, the actual writing might take a month and a half. I pause often to rethink the plot and why the characters would act the way they do, and to figure out whether there is enough tension to pull the reader through the story.A lot of my time at the very beginning is spent just mulling over how things might unfold and finding a story that interests me enough to want to write it. That thinking can take an extra few weeks and it’s one of the things authors have to do that isn’t always mentioned. Plunging into a story without doing some form of thinking about where it is going would be very unlikely to work, no matter how much of a ‘pantser’ writer you think you are. 3)            Tell us about a new author you’ve recently discovered. The author of Prince of Thorns. Mark Lawrence. It’s a fantasy with an antihero, and it’s not a romance.4)            Name two romances you’ve read more than once.I don’t read straight romance really. I’m not sure I’ve reread any of my erotic romances. (Though I have reread the erotic bits on occasion!) But I adore Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel’s Dart series. They are romances, I guess, but set within an amazingly complex alternate earth where the religions are based around sexual relationships, including BDSM. I have reread Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, which isn’t pure romance but it has a wonderful love story inside its pages.5)            Tell us about your first carA Mitsubishi Sigma, a car that I doubt was ever in the USA. I’Blurb:Taking what you want may come at a terrifying price.Chris calls his darkest, nastiest fantasy into the light of day when he has to kidnap Kat to save a friend. For years, he’s wanted to bring her to her knees. But claiming her draws attention. Andreas wants to save Kat, until he sees her response to raw male dominance.More dangerous are the human traffickers, who regard the acquisition and selling of women as a very high stakes business. And they’re watching. Everything.Death. The perversion of love. The loss of freedom.Sometimes there is no choice.Warning: Capture fantasy; dubious consent; anal play; strap-on; M/f/M and f/f scenes; BDSM themes including caning, spanking, bondage, and piercing, as well as some upside-down naughtiness. Also contains one Dom gone bad who believes obsession means never having to say you’re sorry.
Excerpt - PGish
The water might be cold but she was warm against my skin. I couldn’t help admiring her curves as I smoothed away the grime of all that had happened to her over the last day. A few times she stirred and pushed at my hand but I persisted. Her skin was pale, accentuating the red of her bra and black of her panties – color coded scraps of cloth that screamed sexual territory. All the best bits were underneath those. Her lips were plump with the promise of kisses. Long legs, female contours…
Damn.
At last the tape loosened and I gently pulled the bits away from each strand of her hair, revealing her face. What color were her eyes? I turned her face upward and stroked her cheek until she opened them.
Gray. A pretty and liquid light gray.
“Hi,” I said softly.
She only groaned quietly and blinked.
When she turned her cheek away and nestled back into me, curving her back and drawing up her legs so the water swirled, I had to clamp down on a surge of emotion. Her eyelids drifted down again. She clung to my leg with both arms – determined yet weak. Her hair swept in lazy arcs against the masculine heaviness of my thigh.
Beauty personified.
I ached somewhere deep inside. What did Chris want to do to her?
The draw to protect her was so strong. I didn’t care what she might or might not have done. So cute all snuggled around me. I’d never had a woman do this. Ever. Not in such a vulnerable way.
“Hey, baby girl.” I stroked her cheek again. “I’m going to get you out of this.”
She stirred but her eyes stayed shut. “Not a baby. Fugg off.”
I chuckled and smiled. “Not a hope.”
Daylight was fading by the time we had her out of the bath and dried off.
When Chris wrist and ankle cuffed her and collared her with black leather, I managed to stay quiet. When he attached a metal leash, I fought not to explode.
Maybe part of this was that I also found her disturbingly sexy all collared and leashed. That scared me.

Welcome erotic romance writer, Sylvia Ryan...

Happy holidays everyone and thank you to Rachel I sit, sipping wine,                                                      My preference is red,                                                      Secretly reading                  ,                                                      Instead of going to bed.

Julia has no choice but to wait out the winter with sweet, sexy Arden and his seductive best friend, Ben. She tries to ignore the sexual tension and constant temptation of living with the men, but eventually she gives in to each man's seduction.
When both men come to the realization that they are in love with Julia, their lifelong friendship prevents them from competing for her. So, a deal is struck between them. She will accept and love them together, or not at all.
