Welcome erotic romance writer, Qwillia Rain...

 Hi Qwillia! I am thrilled to have you here and to be a part of your tour - I LOVE your covers and particularly can't wait to read the Christmas one. Yum! Okay, let's get started with the interview…

1.    What do you wish men understood about women? That when we discuss a problem with them, we aren’t asking for them to solve the situation, we just want input and another perspective. Unless we ask specifically for something to be fixed or solved, when we talk, it’s more about communication than direction.
2.    Do you only work on one book at a time?Only during the editing stage, I don’t like to split my attention during that time. When I’m working on the rough drafts, I can juggle up to three, sometimes four, stories—I just bounce between them when one stops talking to me.
3.    Who is your favorite fictional couple? In my books I flip between a few couples. Currently it’s Rick Bennett and Becka Swinfield and ZJ Justiss and Maggie Halsey. For other books there are way too many, but off the top of my head, I’d say Maren and Steele from Forged in Steele by Maya Banks and Chance and Sunny from Game of Chanceby Linda Howard.
4.    Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?There are actually two I really like:The first is one I used to post in my classroom.“No matter how right you are; No matter how hard you try; Sometimes the dragon wins”The second my mom used a lot. “Life is a great teacher; unfortunately, she kills all her students”
5.    Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?I try not to set daily goals mainly because if I set goals, I tend to view writing like a job and I’ll try to avoid it. Crazy, I know, but that’s how I get—if you have to have a goal to have fun, then it’s not fun. As for a chance to write everyday—I make sure I take the time to write as much as possible. Sometimes it isn’t every day, but I jot notes down as often as they come to me.
6.   What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?Facebook. Mainly because I can engage in full conversations on FB not just snippets.
7.    What are you working on now?At the time I was writing this interview I was slogging through completing the rough drafts of the second Poker Posse book and fifth Diablo Blanco Club book.
8.    Tell us about your latest release and where we can find itMy latest release as of August is a short story exclusive to Loose Id and part of my new Poker Posse series. Revealeddeals with the emotional fall out between Viola Whittman, the mother of the main character in the first Poker Posse book, Looking at Rose, and Vladamir Presnaytz, the dominant Viola fell in love with nearly three decades earlier. Several readers wanted to know about them, so when the opportunity to write a “fling” came around, I jumped at it.

What's a Dom to do when the submissive he wants runs from the feelings between them?

From the moment he met Lyssa Lawrence, Mike Halsey knew what he felt was love -- not lust. Convincing her has been an uphill battle even after the two steamy hours they'd shared at the Diablo Blanco Club four years earlier.

Lyssa Lawrence wished the man who claimed to love her wasn't so damned appealing. Eight years of denying the pull of her submissive nature almost went up in smoke four years ago, but she'd gathered the nerve to tell him 'no' when he asked for more. She'd have stayed away for good if her biological clock hadn't hiccuped, threatening her dreams of motherhood.

In the same way she'd strategized her success in fashion design, Lyssa worked out a plan to get the baby she wanted. The Diablo Blanco Club's annual Midnight Masquerade would provide a number of potential donors to choose from. What she hadn't bargained on was Mike's interference through an arcane Club rule.

When Mike invoked Rite of First Claim, Lyssa finally became his. Now, he has one month to prove that the role of his submissive was one she was born to play.

EXCERPT - SANTA'S ELF
Excerpt :If he had to watch Elfina Jeffries’s sweet little heart shaped ass sashay past him one more day, Dayton Kringle knew he’d explode. He fingered the gold and silver necklace in his pocket, determined to remain in control until his administrative assistant reached her car and slid behind the wheel. Despite his silent order to himself not to, he couldn’t keep his gaze from dropping to the sexy legs exposed by the above the knee length skirt of her green elf costume. The fact that she’d exchanged three inch black stilettos for the black slippers after they’d returned to the office only made the view that much more appealing.As she leaned out to grab the door, Dayton gritted his teeth to stifle a groan when he spotted the wide border of green lace and the silky suspender from a garter belt against the creamy thigh revealed by the hiked up hem of her white trimmed skirt.“The homeless shelter Monday night?” Elfina asked as she tugged the door closed.“Yes. We’re due there by half past six.” He frowned at the unlocked doors and rolled down driver’s side window. “Keep your doors locked, Elf.”She shook her head and laughed before starting the sedan. “Eldon and Raymond keep an eye on the garage.”Dayton’s fingers tightened on the necklace in his pocket. “Better to be safe—”“—than sorry. I know. I’ll try to remember tomorrow.”She waved and pulled out of the garage.

Welcome erotic romance writer, Bianca Swan...

 It's my pleasure to welcome fellow Wild Rose Press author, Bianca Swan to my blog today - I met Bianca online several years ago and enjoyed watching her career grow. Can't wait to catch up, Bianca! Over to you...

1)   What is the best and worse thing you have learned from an editor/agent?
The worst thing was to deal with rejection.  The best thing from my editor was that my manuscript needed little editing and she thought I could WRITE when the above-said editor/agent (the rejection one) told me that my characters needed motivation and that I had too many sex scenes in the novella.  It’s erotic romance!
2)   What is your typical day?
  I wake up at 6:30 and drag myself through prep to go to work.  I drink my coffee on the run and hit the office at 7:30 so that I can struggle with my baby fine yet rebellious hair until it’s time to put my nose to the grindstone.  I come home too tired to write so I do the other things associated with publishing—like promote which is fun—then look forward to my weekend writing gig with maybe a nice dinner then a special male friend.
3)   What do you read while in the midst of a project?
  I don’t.  Since I write what I like to read, I could be influenced, and lawsuits ‘RNOT me.  J
4)    What do you do with a paperback once you’ve read it?  I usually donate it to MD Anderson (I live in Houston) for the patients and caregivers who spend hours there.5)    Are you nervous about friends reading your book?  YES.  I quaked in my boots when an attorney at work (male) bought my book.  I wondered what he would think of the graphic language!6)    What things inspire you to write?   My inspiration comes from nowhere, anywhere.  Music, art, film, but mostly from my quirky imagination. 7)   Share your blurb and short excerpt from your latest release with us:
The fallen angels have again risen against the Light, and the Second War in Heaven is raging. Paimon, General of Hell, yearned for a lover with the beauty of an angel and created a demon the exact replica of a celestial. He presents his creation with a powerful sword and appoints him commander of the demon forces. If Salseph returns to Hell with the sword in victory, Paimon vows to end Seph's demeaning missions of seducing human women and destroying their lives. The promise is a double-edged blade. The demons under his control abhor Salseph as much as he reviles them.
In battle, the angel Ophiel disarms Salseph and humiliates the young demon. Seph vows revenge against his foe and strikes upon the perfect plan for vengeance. He will seduce the guardian angel's charge, Gloria Landry, and at the Battle of Armageddon present soiled goods to the arrogant Ophiel in exchange for the stolen sword. When he rescues Gloria from a violent storm, she believes Salseph is her guardian angel. On their journey to the apocalyptic war, Salseph and Gloria discover that lust can become the purest love and that a bad boy can be good.
Excerpt:
The stench of Hell burned Salseph’s nostrils.  Lost Souls¸ how he hated to return home.  For all his trials on Earth, he preferred the human realm to this insufferable place.  In the mortal plane, he could, with considerable effort and pain, divest himself of his wings, and feel as if he belonged—at least for a time.Evolerzzal, a slimy glob of green flesh, grabbed Seph’s shoulder as he passed into the gloom of the Demon Realm.  “Well, if it isn’t Salseph the Beautiful.  What are you doing here amongst us humble creatures?”  A clawed hand beckoned Charzzel, a demon of the Second Order.  “Look who’s come home.”Seph shrugged free, arched his wings.  The dim, smoky light refracted on his feathers, and the movement immediately drew the attention of every demon in sight.  His jaw tightened, a muscle twitching.  He yearned to drive his fist into the grotesque face and take to the air, but it wasn’t Evolz’s fault the demons hated Seph.  Paimon had insured that Salseph was an oddity, a freak.  His appearance and the majestic wings set him apart from the others of his kind.  Hell, there were no others of his kind.  In all of Perdition, he was the only demon who looked like an angel.  His face was handsome, his body lean and muscled—the body of a man, not a monstrosity—his blond hair thick and silky.“I smell angel,” a low-ranking atrocity shouted, his high-pitched voice rasping on Seph’s nerves.The demons stank of brimstone and ash.  Salseph’s Creator had only missed one detail in replicating a celestial being.  Like an angel, Seph possessed an individual, mysterious scent, the airy fragrance part of his allure.  Unlike an angel, Salseph had no sigil.   A sigil, the angel’s name in Malachim script, was branded in his palm at his creation.  Paimon did not have the ability to bequeath a sigil to his demon son.  The fallen angel had, however, created Seph with an irresistible sexual magnetism.A disgustingly ugly brute bared his fangs.  A laugh rumbled from the creature’s slavering maw.  He stumbled into Seph, crushing one of the long white feathers trailing the ash-gray ground.  “Hello, Salseph.”  Two taloned fingers drifted down the feathered arch.  “Wish I had pretty wings.”Seph flinched from the malicious caress, folding his wings in a tighter arch.  The creature chuckled, and anger ground Salseph’s good intentions to dust.   When he landed, he’d planned to hurry to his cave, avoiding another senseless confrontation with his brethren.  The fiends detested him as much as he abhorred them.  It was an effort of will to resist a scathing retort.“I think he’s hideous,” a demon in the shadows called.  “Angels are our enemies.  Every time I look at Paimon’s favorite, I want to draw sword.”Jealousy and envy gleamed in Evolz’s yellow eyes.  The demon reeked of the Pit.  Sulfur wasn’t an enticing perfume.  “Now, who would want to spit our lovely Salseph on a sword?”“Let me pass.” Seph would have shouldered by Evolz, but touching the creature repulsed him.“Coming home from another assignment?” Evolz smirked.Seph refused to give the other demon the satisfaction of a reply.  He was returning from another demeaning mission with his stomach in a knot and his heart bleeding for a poor human woman whose only sin was falling in love with him.“Did you eat her baby or pump a little half-demon into her womb?”  Evolz leered, his glob of a head tilted to the side, his hairy ears wagging.“I don’t consume human flesh.  Now, step aside.”“Or you’ll do what?  Report me to Paimon?”Seph flared his wings, striking the demon and sweeping Evolerzzal into a stumbling retreat.  “Sorry, Evolz.”  He drove his wings down hard, rising straight into the sultry, close air.  Voice dripping sarcasm, he said, “I forget how powerful I really am.”He hovered above the gross blob, his condescending smile goading Evolz to react.  The demon glared at him but said nothing, a quick comeback beyond his limited mental capacity.  Why were they all so fiendish?   One of the monsters tried to capture his ankle.  Laughing, he flew higher and, still chuckling, soared toward home.  The place I hide.  He’d never thought of the dim stone cavern as home.  His heart stuttered over a painful beat.  He had no home and belonged nowhere.
 8)    What’s next for you?
  I’m not sure yet.  My Muse is vacationing in Belize, enjoying the sun, sand and sea.  When she returns, we’ll begin our next venture, which I think will involve another extraordinary (paranormal) hero but not an angel or demon like Wings or Celestial Sin.   Then again, maybe a sexy, svelte and intriguing hero like Damian in Hot Spanish Nights—a rejoneador and master horseman teaching a Virginia socialite how to ride!

I want want Michael Canton to Teach Me To Ride...

I am thrilled with the feedback from readers I am receiving for my latest release, "Teach Me To Ride" - the general consensus being that quite a few of you ladies wouldn't say no to my hero, Michael Canton, teaching you to ride, LOL!

I love writing this book and really hope those yet to read Michael and Caroline's journey will love the story as much as me. The novella is still only available exclusively to Amazon with general release not until December 6th. Why not get your copy now??

Here the details:

Caroline James wants to be the best investigative journalist London has ever seen. But until she has the money to leave the small town of Fayre Mead, she's stuck and her resentment is building. So when she’s assigned to cover the Lakeland Horse Trials and meets sexy, dark-haired, and astoundingly fit horse trainer, Michael Canton, she is happy to veMichael Canton will do anything in his power to silence his tyrannical father once and for all. Under extreme pressure to compete in the countries show jumper trials and prove his worth, Michael’s fiery emotions are running high. Caroline’s beauty and sexual confidence stokes an inner strength and determination he never knew he had. But can he trust her to know the difference between fact and fiction? Together, they are a formidable team…but will their burning ambitions ultimately blow them apart?
Excerpt:
Still sitting in his lap, she reached behind her and lowered the zipper of her dress. It fell down over her shoulders, revealing naked breasts. His erection ached at the sight of her creamy white, perfect tits with nipples big and dark. He licked his lips and moved forward to suck one hard tip into his mouth. Her gasp sounded above him.Her skin smelled of something sweet and sexy, innocence mixed with danger. He inhaled deeply as he grazed her pebbled nipple with his teeth before reclaiming her mouth. Her tongue was rigid and demanding against his as they fought for supremacy.Rolling her over, he shimmied the dress down her body and tossed it to the floor. Naked, but for tiny satin panties, darkened by juices at her clit, Michael didn’t think he had ever seen a woman look more beautiful. He drank in every inch of her, knowing deep inside that this might be the only moment he’d ever see her like this. The only chance to take her, to watch her enjoy unadulterated pleasure. God, he wanted to give her pleasure.“Michael…”He snapped his gaze to hers. She watched him. Her eyes were heavy lidded, screaming for him, wanting him. Male pride surged like a fireball behind his ribcage. He crawled up beside her and kissed her, his fingers trailing over her breasts, lower over her torso before diving into her panties.She was wet. Soaking wet.His hand glided over her narrow strip of pubic hair to her rigid clit. He circled, stretched, and teased, then moved lower until his fingers found her slit, his blood roaring in his ears. He felt alive, masculine and powerful. Her legs opened and he thrust two fingers deep inside. Buy Links: Amazon US:http://www.amazon.com/Teach-Me-To-Ride-ebook/dp/B00EPQPNMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378280072&sr=8-1&keywords=teach+me+to+ride Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Teach-Me-To-Ride-ebook/dp/B00EPQPNMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378280101&sr=8-1&keywords=teach+me+to+ride Happy Reading!Love, Rachel x

EXCERPT
Her eyelids had just begun to flutter closed when the phone rang. Jessica jumped, sending Chaz flying across the sofa with a hiss. "I'm sorry, baby. Mommy was just startled." The cat narrowed his eyes at her but slinked back into her lap without protest.
She didn't recognize the number on the caller ID. "Hello?"
"Hey, Jessica. I'm so sorry I didn't call you back earlier. I was swamped at work."
No way. Trevor? "Umm. That's okay. I was pretty busy, too." I'm such a liar. Oh, well. He doesn't need to know that. She pushed Chaz onto the floor and he landed with a grunt. Such an ungraceful cat. She stood and paced her small living room, waiting for him to speak.
"So, it was good to see you this morning. You looked amazing."
"Thanks." Her voice squeaked. "You, uh...haven't changed a bit."
His melodic chuckle rang in her ear. "Thank you. I try."
She giggled and put a hand over her mouth to stop herself. She would not get her hopes up again. Yeah, right.
"So, Jessica." Her knees went weak at the sound of her name coming from his lips. "I really wanted to take you out to dinner. To spend some time with you, but..."
Yep. Here it comes. The big letdown.
"But I’m swamped for the next few days."
"Oh, that's okay. It's really not that big of a deal. I—"
"Yes," he interrupted her. "It is. I want to see you."

Welcome erotic romance writers Dmytry Karpov & Kimberly Kinrade...

Hello!! It's so great to have a husband and wife writing team at my blog today...I think you're my first! Cannot wait to find out more about you both and how you manage to create stories together - it's something that ain't never gonna happen in my house! Let's start the questions....
1.    What do you wish men understood about women?
DK: I wish we understood how to make them 100% happy 100% of the time.KK: I wish all men knew how to please a women in bed. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that with my man. He's mastered that lesson.
2.    Do you only work on one book at a time?
DK: I'll often outline a few books at a time, but I'll actually write the prose one at a time. For example, right now I'm outlining both Seduced by Lies, a romance and mystery, and Kiss Me in Cairo, the sequel to Kiss Me in Paris, but I'm only writing Seduced by Lies.
KK: I usually have multiple projects going on at once. As Dmytry said, right now we're working on Seduced by Lies as well as Kiss Me in Cairo, but we're also working on a serial novel, Kiss Me Forever(starring Damon Deveaux, a cousin to the Deveaux sisters) and I'm working on a new Three Lost Kids trilogy, The Forbidden Book.
3.    Who is your favorite fictional couple?
DK: Rose and Jack from Titanic. That's my favorite romance film. KK: Rose and Derek from the Seduced Saga.
4.    Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
DK: “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” ― Dr. SeussKK: "Live your questions now, and perhaps even without knowing it, you will live along some distant day into you answers." Rainer Maria Rilke
5.    Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
DK: I don't write every day, but when I do, I set small goals for myself. Usually my goal is 250 words every fifteen minutes. It doesn't sound like a lot of words, but it adds up to 1000 words every hour.
KK: When I'm in the writing phase of a project, I like to get 5-10k in per day until that project is completed.
6.  What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?
DK: I usually prefer Twitter. I like the concise tweets. But I do love Facebook groups. KK: I used to love Twitter (it's how Dmytry and I met after all!), but I've fallen for Facebook recently. It's such a fun way to connect with fans.
7.    What are you working on now?
DK: Seduced by Lies and Kiss Me in Cairo. Both are an exciting mix of mystery and romance. However, Seduced by Lies is paranormal while Kiss Me in Cairo is contemporary. KK: What he said, plus we've also added a hot addition to the Kiss Me cast. Damon Deveaux, of Kiss Me Forever, will have his own serial novel.

He became my hero, saving me from the villain of my past. He became my friend, his smile a blanket of warmth. And he scared me. Because he, this beautiful man, he might become more. Then he'd see the real me, and I couldn't let that happen.
My name is Winter, and what I desire most I can't have.
Flashes of the night I was drugged rush back to me. His strong arms carrying me through the streets of Paris. The feel of his heart beating as my head rested against his chest. The soft press of his lips against my forehead when he thought I was asleep.

Welcome Ellora's Cave author, Katalina Leon...

Hi Katalina! It's great to have you here and to be a part of your ongoing tour - I don't think we've met before so I'm looking forward to getting to know more about you and your work. Enjoy!!
Did you set any goals for 2013?
Katalina Leon: My goal was to approach a couple new-to-me publishers and get contracts. I managed to get two new publishers so far, and I’m chasing a couple more with new books pending. Branching out felt great.
Who or what has been your biggest influence as a writer?
Katalina Leon: Wow that’s a tough question to answer. Jaid Black aka Tina Engler, the founder of Ellora’s Cave inspired me to write erotic romance in the first place and Ellora’s Cave gave me my first book contract so I’ll say thank you Tina Engler and Ellora’s Cave!
How long does it take you to write a 50,000-60,000 word manuscript?
Katalina Leon: On my schedule a book that length requires a steady three or four months of work, but I have a lot of false starts. I’ll work for a month on a WIP, set it aside and start another. I’m always rotating several WIPs at a time, so I don’t get frustrated or bored.
Tell us about a new author you’ve recently discovered.
Katalina Leon: This summer I read Robin Maxwell’s “Jane, The Woman Who Loved Tarzan” and really enjoyed it.
Name two romances you’ve read more than once.
Katalina Leon: I’ve reread Jane Eyre numerous times. Another book I loved rereading was Laura Kinsale’s Prince Of Midnight.
Tell us about your first car.
Katalina Leon: My first car was a hand-me-down 67’ Mustang V8. The car had passed from my dad to my mother, to my older sister and finally to me. It was well worth the wait. The engine had the sexiest sound like a muffled roar. It was an amazing car and I loved it. I could do a lot of the mechanical and maintenance myself. Cross my heart that car was a man magnet.
Where can we find you?
Katalina Leon: I’m easy to find and I love hearing from readers. Please friend me on Facebook or come and play on Pinterest. I love posting handsome men and making book boards.

Book Description:Part of the Emerald Isles Fantasies series
Tullamore Castle Ireland is an enchanted place where the unexpected happens. Phantom lovers materialize in haunted beds and a lonely griffin patrols the ramparts waiting to reclaim its mate. And that’s just the beginning.
For the adventure of a lifetime Maeve de’Burgo visits Tullamore to study genealogy. Through a magical act and time travel she becomes embroiled in a dangerous medieval romance and the unfinished life of her ancestor. Maeve gets thrown back in time to be captured, ravished and cherished as a war chief’s prize.
Ronan O’Griofa is a griffin-shifter, the most loyal of creatures. He’s been trapped in limbo as the avenging guardian of Tullamore since 1332 AD and longs to be free. When the soul of his wife returns to the castle he’s granted the privilege of becoming a man for one day to be her lover, win her heart and remind Maeve of a bond strong enough to last an eternity.
Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.
Excerpt:

Maeve walked down a long carpet runner of elegant red and blue heraldic designs that stretched the length of a football field. “From looking at the website I had no idea how sprawling Castle Tullamore is.”
“The castle as it stands now has been greatly expanded over the years. We are in the oldest wing. There have been many times during the castle’s stormy eight-hundred- year history when it has housed hundreds, perhaps thousands of people during a siege. Tullamore and its surrounding lands have been peaceful for generations but we still have a few old spirits wandering the halls who haven’t heard the news. They are still on guard for invaders.”
A chill traveled over Maeve. “Not malicious spirits, I hope.”
“No.” Áine pursed her lips. “Protective ones. We have a few devoted souls who watch over the castle with a wary eye just as they did in life. They’re noble spirits and you’ll feel no threat from them.”
“Tullamore is big on spirits, isn’t it?” Maeve didn’t mean to sound dismissive but she feared she did.
“Yes, the castle has more than its fair share. It’s not an exaggeration to say that Castle Tullamore is a supernatural vortex. Things happen here that can’t happen anywhere else.” Áine stopped at the end of the corridor in front of a massive wooden door carved with winged griffins. “This is the O’Griofa suite.” She slipped the brass key into a heavy brass lock, turned the key with a squeak and pushed the door open. “Lovely, isn’t it?”
Maeve stepped into the softly lit room and felt her breath catch. To her right a crystal lamp glowed with the strength of a candle flame and shot tiny rainbows across a pale marble table. A low fire crackled in the massive stone fireplace, which smoldered crimson. The floors were polished dark wood offset by fine carpets. The mantel was ornamented by two graceful stone griffins with wings raised and heads bowed, which cast dramatic shadows on the wall.
The entire room was filled with elegant art and unique furnishings from many eras, but the heart of the room was the monumental oak bed with towering carved posts and a vaulted canopy. The bed’s silk coverlet was a rich shade of viridian green. The carved headboard displayed a victorious griffin screeching in flight, with wings spread wide, and looked as if it belonged in an art museum.
Maeve gaped with disbelief. “I get to sleep in that bed? It’s gorgeous!”
Áine nodded. “Lady dé Burgo once slept in that bed, though ‘slept’ might be too polite a term. According to legend, Lord O’Griofa didn’t let her get much sleep. The bed was simpler too—it has been added to over the centuries but elements of it are the original bed.”
 About the Author:I’m an artist, an author, mother and wife. I write for Ellora’s Cave, Loose Id Publishing and a couple new publishers to be announced soon. I try to bring a touch of the mystical and a big sense of adventure to everything I write because I believe there’s a bold, kick-ass heroine inside all of us who wants to take a wild ride with a strong worthy hero.

1.    What do you wish men understood about women?
         That we're all different, not all of us love the outdoors, but some of us love football.
2.    Do you only work on one book at a time?
         Not always.  Usually I'm writing one, editing another and sometimes even reading galleys of a third.
3.    Who is your favorite fictional couple?
         It would have to be Eric and Sookie from True Blood
4.    Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
         Live your life as you see fit
5.    Do you set daily writing goals? Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
         I do set daily goals, but they're not always around writing.  I do try to write on most days, but life does get in the way.
6.    What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook? Why?
         Facebook, I like the interaction with Facebook better, and I don't have to worry about a link being too long
7.    What are you working on now?
         I'm currently working on a short story for Sybarite Seductions, my hero is a sheikh and my heroine a translator, when her plane has mechanical problems, she's forced to stay in London overnight and my hero sheikh kidnaps her for some sexy fun.
8.    Tell us about your latest release and where we can find it

Welcome Carina Press author, Lise Horton....

 Hi Lise! Nice to meet you :)
I am so happy to discover an author I haven't read before and help promote their latest release! I have downloaded Words of Lust to my Kindle and can't wait to get started. Love the cover :) Okay, on with the questions...
1.     What do you wish men understood about women?
I’d love men to really understand how complex women are, sexually. That we can desire warm, sensual loving and being put on a pedestal, but other times crave raw, hot sex and being treated like their private concubine.  And that they should never be shy about experimentation, which can keep any relationship exciting and vital, and understand if they are generous, and take the time with us to explore, their efforts will be well rewarded. A sexy win-win for all parties involved.

2.     Do you only work on one book at a time?
I’m a Gemini with a tendency to swing from one book to another depending on my mood – which can be a good thing, or not so much! For example, while working on Words of Lust, with its high level of romance and emotion, I was also writing some harder, kinkier erotica. That gave me an opportunity to indulge in my wilder side rather like a palate cleanser. But I’m trying to be more stern with myself and stick to one project until completion, both to keep on track with my timetable now that my Carina editor is waiting for book two of the Stellato siblings, but also so I don’t dilute my focus.

3.     Who is your favorite fictional couple?
Of course I love my first Stellato siblings couple from Words, Nick and Serafina. They are such different people, yet they complement one another so beautifully. They seduced me rather like a warm summer evening breeze. Book two’s couple, Berto Stellato and Wharton College department secretary Alice, are a fire and gasoline combination. They blew in like a firestorm  - and don’t you just love tempestuous romances?
Beyond my books (and I’m always madly in love the couple I’m working on), I continue to be thoroughly enthralled by kick-ass urban fantasy heroine, Anita Blake, vampire executioner, and her long-time love, Master vampire of the City, Jean Claude. It’s their 20th anniversary this year (or rather Laurell K. Hamilton’s!) and the relationship never gets stale. But be warned, their romance - as intense and complicated as it gets – requires the A/C on high, 24/7.
In contemporary erotic romance I have to say that I fall in love too easily – as the old song says – and when an author creates a couple that sweeps me into their world, I am an eager and willing voyeur. So authors like Maya Banks, Shayla Black, Eden Bradley, J. Kenner, Lisa Maria Rice, and Lauren Dane make me an oh-so-very happy reader.

4.     Do you have a favorite quote that sums up how you feel about life?
Like anyone, I have very optimistic periods in my life and then others colored by pessimism, but no matter what’s going on, I try to be strong and keep striving to achieve my dreams. Maybe this is why my characters are always such fighters. I’ve always admired folks who stand up to adversity and never back down. All my life there’s been a simple quote I loved, one of my favorites of the always quotable Winston Churchill:  “Never, never, never quit.” It’s perfect reinforcement, no matter whether you’re at the top of your game or working through a tough time. My favorite quote about love is more irreverent, from a feisty woman after my own heart, Mae West:  “Too much of a good thing can be wonderful.”
5.     Do you set daily writing goals?  Word count? Number of chapters? Do you get a chance to write every day?
Because I work a full time day job [at an entertainment law firm], which requires a 3 hour round trip commute daily, and as a parental caretaker, writing time is always at a premium. But I use that 3 hours commuting to write and edit, or read research materials. Evenings I can usually get in an hour or two and on weekends and holidays I am a writing fiend. It always feels so wonderful to have those days with nothing to do but write! I will make lists of overall goals but I try not to hold myself to set word count or page count because I can get frustrated when fate thwarts my plans. I just keep writing and on a weekday can get 2,000 – 3,000 down. On a day off, when inspired I may hit 10,000. Of course, on those days the housekeeping tends to suffer and dinner might consist of nothing but pretzels and wine!
6.     What do you like better, Twitter or Facebook?  Why?
I’m still pretty much a novice at social media, though I’ve been blogging for a couple of years, I use Twitter more as a quick connection to folks in the media, entertainment and publishing industry, and Facebook more as the social community, to get to know folks, talk books, writing, reading, and all the things that I am passionate about, like animal rescue, special needs children and adults, and women’s issues. I’ve discovered some wonderful friends via Facebook, from all over the US and the world, and I love sharing information and inspiration there. It’s also a terrific way to support people by adding my voice to their causes.
7.     What are you working on now?
I am finishing up the draft of book two of the Stellato siblings series. You meet all 5 of the Stellato brothers and sisters in Words of Lust, but book 2 (working title Hot In the City) is, as I mentioned, Alberto & Alice’s story. Berto is the quintessential wise-ass, New York alpha male, but this outward persona is, in part, a defense against a secret that has caused him great pain and humiliation in the past. Alice is a young, single mother of a special needs boy with her own troubled past, who needs Berto’s help when her ex returns to threaten her and her son, Graham. She’s a passionate woman, but won’t let another man into her life for long because trusting a man has always led to heartbreak. So Berto has his work cut out for him to convince her that she can count on him: He’s the real deal. They are a super hot couple and I’m having a blast creating their steamy sexual relationship as well as the tormented emotional one. It’s also fun writing a linked series because I keep discovering more and more about the family of characters which will make writing those future stories so much more fun. By the way, all of my stories are set in New York City because I love the amazing worlds that all co-exist side by side by side here. I enjoy sharing these details with my readers and hope that they’ll be sufficiently seduced to want to come and get to know the Big Apple themselves. And if you pop into town, give me a holler and I’ll show you the sights!
8.     Tell us about your latest release and where we can find it.

Welcome erotic romance writer, Shelley Munro...

Past Regretsby Shelley Munro
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Never look back…unless that’s where your heart belongs.
Love and Friendship, Book 2
Julia Maxwell was a seize-the-moment party girl until the night she spent with up-and-coming rocker Ryan Callander. From that moment, she was a one-man woman. Pity he hasn’t kept with the program.
Tired of the secrets that have kept her out of the press and Ryan’s fans happy, angry with mounting evidence of infidelity, Julia is older, wiser, and determined to divorce his cheatin’ ass.
Ryan’s long European tour had more than its share of hard knocks—one of which landed on his head when he was mugged. Divorce papers waiting for him at home are a shock that fills in some of the holes in his sketchy memory. But it could be too late to salvage his marriage.
If Ryan thinks flirtatious smiles, seductive touches, and hot-and-heavy kisses are going to smooth things over, Julia’s got a hammer with his name on it. To her surprise, he picks it up, determined to rebuild a bright future for both of them. But the past is lurking with some missing pieces that could bring their hearts crashing down.
Warning: Contains a pissed ex-stripper turned burlesque dancer, a bunch of nosy friends and a smooth-talking rocker with one thing on his mind. Stripper poles and skimpy costumes may be involved.
Excerpt
“Julia!” Ryan crossed the room in seconds flat and grabbed her into a tight embrace before she could react. His familiar scent rolled over her, masculine with a hint of spicy green and the outdoors. He pressed her head to his chest, apparently content to hold her against his trembling frame. For long seconds she let him, too stunned to react. Then her shock gave way to fury, and she lashed out with her foot, kicking him in the shin.
“Ow!” He released her abruptly, an aggrieved scowl distorting his pretty face. “What did you do that for?”
Cripes, she’d broken her foot, not that she’d admit it to him. She gathered the pain and hurled it back in harsh words. “You can’t come waltzing back after nearly a year and expect me to welcome you. Didn’t you receive the divorce papers?”
“I don’t want a divorce.” His blue eyes bored into her. Determined. Steady. He glanced at their avid audience. “Maybe we should take this somewhere private?”
Julia dug in her heels, feeling contrary. He had no right to burst into her life again. And as for orders—forget it. She squared her shoulders and glowered at him. “They’re my friends. They can hear anything you have to say to me.” Aw, heck. Ryan. She’d thought she’d hate him… No! She did hate him. “You cheated on me.”
“When did Julia get married?” Susan asked.
Curiosity buffeted Julia in waves, coming at her from all directions. Great. Just great.
She lowered her voice, steeling herself against his charisma. One look at his dark hair, blue eyes and strong runner’s body and her willpower seeped through the soles of her favorite high-heel pumps. Go figure.
“I can’t talk to you now. We should discuss this with our lawyers present.”
A total contradiction of her previous words. Off-balance, surprise and a tinge of outrage ran hotly through her veins, yet she wanted to grab him and lay one on his sexy lips. She wanted to lick along the tail of the dragon winding around one biceps and explore the scaled body tattooed on his shoulder. How could he do this to her?
Welcome Total E Bound author, Molly Ann WIshlade....
I am thrilled to invite Molly here today after us chatting so much online, she is a lovely, lovely lady and I wish her massive success and sales with her debut novella, Desire in Deadwood. Welcome Molly! Let's get started with the questions...my review of your story is at the end ;)
1)  What kind of music do you like?
I love lots of different kinds of music but rock has to be my favourite. The likes of Led Zeppelin, Guns ‘n Roses and Queen all get my pulse racing. I also like the mellower Fleetwood Mac.
2)  Describe your dream home…
Anywhere my husband and children are.
3)  Favorite literary hero & heroine?
Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester
4)   What are you reading now?
I’ve just finished S.A.Meade’s Stolen Summerand I’m about to start one of the many books I’ve downloaded to my Kindle. I’m spoilt for choice!
5)  How many books have your written?  Which is your favourite?
Desire in Deadwood is my debut and my current release but I’ve also just submitted my second, Harlot at the Homestead. I love them both although Harlot at the Homestead is darker.
6)  What comes first, plot or characters?
It depends. Prior to Christmas last year, my Regency novel was rejected following an R&R. I was really disappointed but for Christmas, my husband bought me a cover for my Kindle. It’s designed to look like a Victorian book cover and it has my name inscribed on the spine. On the inside front cover is a message which reads: This is your first book cover of many. You will be published! With support and encouragement like that, how could I fail to keep going?
Post-Christmas, a few lines just popped into my head and kept playing over and over:
“Take your clothes off.”
“What?”
“You heard me.”
Evelyn forced her mouth shut.
“So? What are you waiting for?”
Her eyes met those of the man on the moth eaten chaise longue in front of her. He was serious.
Within days, these evolved into a full plot and Desire in Deadwood wasborn!
So in that case, it was the opening lines. With Harlot at the Homestead, it was the title and the plot and characters evolved from there. However, I often find that the characters will emerge from a seed of an idea and tell me their stories so that I just have to write them down.
7)  Do you ever suffer from writer’s block?
Sometimes, I reach a point in a story where I get what’s known as ‘writer’s block’. The main reason this happens to me is because I get so tired after working all day. I give so much as a teacher that it can hinder my creative flow - as does the stopping and starting that occurs because I can’t just get up early and get on with my writing. However, weekends and holidays are wonderful times because I can relax and enjoy quality family time but also write when I choose and that’s when I’m incredibly productive!
The other challenge (one that I quite enjoy) is when I’m writing one novel and ideas for another just pop into my head. During the middle of my recently submitted novel, I had such a powerful idea for another plot that I had to stop and write it down. Five thousand words later, I returned to Harlot at the Homestead. That novel, which is actually a modern day erotic romance, is waiting in the wings about to be continued.
 8)  Twitter or Facebook? Why?
I just prefer Twitter. It’s easier to access from my Iphone.
9)  Tell us about your latest book?
10) What’s next for you?
Harlot at the Homestead is in submission and Desire in Deadwoodis OUT THERE!!!Once I’ve completed my modern romance, I’d like to start another historical. I just love writing Westerns!!!
Bio:Molly Ann Wishlade has always been an avid reader and writer of stories. Her lifetime of reading has taken her from the magical worlds of The Faraway Tree and the Borrowers, to the Greek myths and legends, to the Sweet Valley High Twins and Judy Blume’s Forever, to Asimov’s science fiction and Jane Eyre’s torment and to Stephen King’s masterpieces. More recently she has wandered through the vivid historicals of Philippa Gregory; the bubbly, gritty delights of Adele Parks and the fast paced thrillers of James Patterson. She loves getting lost in a novel and often regrets finishing one as the characters are usually missed.
She also indulges her insatiable hunger for romance and passion in the delicious worlds created by romantic novelists and is working on several of her own!Molly Ann loves spending time with her family, taking long walks (although she’s still waiting for the rescue greyhound she wants to acompany her), cooking her own secret recipe curries, drinking Earl Grey (in copious amounts) and discovering delicious wines. Oh, and she also loves to ski and can’t wait to go again! And buying shoes! Oh, shoes!!!
Rachel's review: Desire in Deadwood by Molly Ann Wishlade
5 stars!!!
I couldn't wait to read this book as soon as I heard about it - the main reason is that I desperately want to venture into the historical erotic romance genre and when someone has their debut accepted by a publisher as big as Total E Bound, you know it is GOOD!
Desire in Deadwood is an intriguing––and hot––from the very beginning. As I was swept through from the very first sentence, my conflicting emotions were strung tight between frustration with the characters, to the unerring feeling I was going to miss something important if I didn't continue reading. The combination is irresistible! The very first sexual scene had me squirming in my seat....I'd discovered an erotic author to admire.
It isn't just the gorgeous erotica in this short novella that evokes a powerful reaction, it is the angst-filled turmoil of both hero and heroine. Broken communication and supposition get a little frustrating from time to time, but the high-octane internal hurt of these the characters inevitably leads to mistakes being made.
It's a truly great short story that I wish could've been longer so I get to know more and more about these characters before and after their resolution - the heroine's son, Aaron, is a sweetheart too! Loved it :)
