What Am I?
I can creep up on you in an instant and change your mood.
I can lift you up. I can drag you down.
I have the ability to make you doubt yourself.
I can cause you to cry.
I can give you a boost of energy or I can discourage you.
I am so powerful I can create in you a great purpose
But, often I will point out all the reasons why you will fail.
I am such a big part of you that you just go about your day taking me for granted.
This is not good – not good at all, because I can do so much for you,
If you would just let me.
But, know – I am at your beck and call
My job is to follow not lead.
I always give what you request.
What Am I?
I am your closest ally and trusted advisor.
I live for you. I am always with you no matter what.
My power grows through your love, your attention,
And your guidance.
I am as strong as you allow me to grow
And
Together, forever we can have an amazing life journey.

Never doubt YOU are worthy of great love!
Practicing self-love is not a luxury; it is mandatory and requires a lifetime commitment.
Have great adventures loving and being YOU!
1. Thou shall believe you are perfect even with your imperfections as you strive to better your best in all you do.
2.Thou shall appreciate some days you are the pigeon and some days, the statue; and that is OK because both presents positive points of view.
3.Thou shall realize external forces are short-term. Motivation is internal because your determination and will power is what will sustain you for the duration.
4.Thou shall be kind and gentle accepting and loving yourself even when you “mess up.”
5.Thou shall understand your only true competitor is yourself.
6.Thou shall maintain a strong focus on the task, not to be deterred but moving forward on purpose.
7.Thou shall understand there is value in stumbling and falling. Getting up, dusting yourself off and forging ahead is a credit to your worthiness.
8. Thou shall appreciate reinforcement from others, but cherish your own feelings of satisfaction for a job well done.
9.Thou shall follow today and lead tomorrow. Realize it is your call and set the pace that is right for you.
10.Thou shall understand that as a work in progress, your work is discovering your brilliance.

What thoughts do I feed daily?
Relentlessly ask yourself “what thoughts am I feeding?”
As important as the question, the answer will reveal what you need to work on as you better your best self.
Our thought patterns establish the foundation for the conversations we have with ourselves. Think how often you say to yourself “I’ve got to”, “I should”, “I messed up”, I can’t “or “I am stupid.
When we speak, others can hear and may judge us, but because our thoughts belong only to us, oftentimes, we do not give these thoughts the significance they deserve.
Never forget you control if your thoughts will grow or slow you. If you choose to dwell in the negativity, that will manifest in your life.
Likewise, choosing positive, uplifting and empowering thoughts creates the same in your life.
Remember, your thoughts are what you choose them to develop into.
Take the time to nurture empowering conversations with yourself to design the life experiences you desire and deserve.
Your Thoughts Rule!

Processes are the WORST.

I graduated from Bible college and knew everything. I had my first 10 sermon series ready. I had all these ideas that I was GOING to implement within my first two days on the job. We were GOING to grow immediately. All my friends from Bible college were going to be jealous. People were gonna be like, “Noelle and Taylor are such great youth pastors. I wish I could live with them and have their awesomeness rub off on me…”
And then I woke up and realized how much of a cheesehead I was being.
Within a month of moving home from Bible college I was told that we were taking over the youth ministry. The first few months were great… We lost leaders, and some of the ones that stuck around didn’t want us there. Preaching was just awful. I quickly realized that all those brilliant sermon series I had prepared my sophomore year of college were just the opposite. They were just terrible. I was no longer surrounded by hundreds of other young leaders aspiring to build the church. I was in Maple Valley, a city about 1/100th the size of Portland. I was in my second year of marriage living upstairs in my parents’ house. I worked nights and Noelle worked days, which meant we saw each other at church and on Saturday mornings. And all of our free time consisted of trying to make this youth ministry not completely fall apart.
I pretty much hated everything. But for some reason God kept reminding us that we were on a journey… one that we’re still on.

What are UN Influencers?

What are un Influencers?
Life is always under-construction!
As we live our lives, there are situations, events, and people that influence us in an extreme, often negative manner.
We call the unexpected, unplanned, unwanted and certainly unwelcomed circumstances that are always part of our lives in some form or fashion the un Influencers.
It is good to know that God instilled in us the power of CHOICE. It is up to us to allow the un Influencers of life grow us or slow us.
Always know you control the power – it is your choice.

The University of Life!
Life creates many opportunities to “mess up”
When this happens as it happens to the best of us:
#1 – Learn the lesson because life is the university that never takes a holiday.
#2 – Apologize to anyone you may have hurt; especially yourself.
#3 – Keep moving forward realizing you are better from the experience.
