Thoughts Influence Power Snippets on tour!

What Do You Call YOURSELF?
March 17, 2014 at 10:25 AM“Are you a Christian writer?”
Wow, where did that come from? My initial thought, oh no another label.
Are you a Christian writer? Why did I feel some kind of way? Almost like the question was “Are you a Christian?” I pondered this question, one I had never been asked or thought about and realized, ok, it is a fair question.
The many thoughts in my head reacted.
I write about love. Love for others and ourselves. I write about the power of hope and belief. I write about being a child of God’s. I write to promote goodwill. I write about appreciating who we are and who we are yet to become.
Yes, I write about bettering one’s best. I write about life events to inspire and motivate. I write about growth by focusing on our strengths. Also, I write to remind people the power of choice, to choose the good fruit of life, not her spoils.
More thoughts fight to rush to the surface. The strongest of all, yes, I write as a testimony to eight earthly Angels who made and kept a promise to my daughter.
These Angels were the start of it all.
Out of all this clatter within, I hear loud and clear, “Yes, I am a Christian writer.”

I Am An Influencer!
I Am An Influencer!
Not because I possess riches or fame,
But for the simple pleasure of doing
For another what I can.
The power to influence is not something new,
It really is something we all do.
The message here just makes it clear,
Do it on purpose and it becomes more dear.
I am an Influencer by design – it’s something deep inside…
That continues to shine – when it’s sharing time.
There’s great value to accrue, because
What you give out always comes back to you.
It’s a boomerang effect – so always select
To make someone smile by going that extra mile.
I Am An Influencer…
I can, and I do make a difference in people lives!

Heart-led to Hearts Fed!

Heart-lead to Hearts Fed
As a little girl, I watched my mom sell homemade icebergs to the neighborhood kids from our back porch. I did not know at the time, but she was my first mentor and my first encounter with entrepreneurship. Now, of course she did not call herself an entrepreneur and certainly not a businessperson. She was doing what it took to take care of her family.
I watched my mom take pride in serving her little customers. Sometimes she would add fruit in the icebergs, or mix the flavors all bringing smiles to the little ones. I notice this made her smile as well.
Later on, she added other things along with the icebergs, such as chips, cookies and fruit.
My sisters, my brother, and I were always opening our back door helping her service her little customers who fell in love with my mom.
Years later, I am as proud of my mom as that little girl was who watched her open not just her door, but also her heart to others.
