Karen Winters Schwartz wrote her first truly good story at age seven. Forty-five years later her professional writing career finally began in 2010, when the first of three widely praised novels, Where Are the Cocoa Puffs?, Reis’s Pieces, and The Chocolate Debacle were published by Goodman Beck Publishing. Red Adept Publishing released Legend of the Lost Ass in 2020, and her latest novel The Vast Clear Blue in 2023. The Mania of Bipolar Disorder

Excerpt from  WHERE ARE THE COCOA PUFFS?  Chapter 9
But before the argument made a dangerous turn,  they walked into the tavern. The locals took their eyes off their beers and took the four of them in, shifting a bit on their bar stools, feeling the power of Amanda as she laughed and flipped her purse about in the air.

Amanda could feel the power she had and knew that she commanded the room. Read more of this blog post »

Michael Benjamin Karen
Oranit: Crossed Lines
The book is about a murder in an Israeli settlement. One of the heroes is anti-Psychiatry Psychiatrist. As you are so obviously not that- I'd love you to read it. If you have a KINDLE, I'll send you a copy. I am not looking to promote or get a review.
So far no MD has read it. I am quite terrified as to what they say.
Karen, it gets worse.
I've finished my second MS and about to launch. Here the same protagonists deal with another murder. The setting is the Psychiatric establishment. Again I am more than nervous concerning the possible 'the establishment.'
If this letter, self-disclosure, is inappropriate, then I apologise. I am new here and don't know the etiquette.
Regards to you.
Michael

Yes. I have 'The Senator's Wife' sitting out to get back to you. Did my shameless self-promotion come about my book that's to be published come through on the e-mail I sent you from goodreads? If not: the book is, Where are the Cocoa Puffs? Will be available next year. Everyone must buy it!
