I think I’ll just stay here and drink.

It looks like a good place. There’s an old jukebox, not one of those new fangled computerized ones. It has actual CDs in it. Remember those? I remember when they were new. “Hey, Bill has one of those new CD players! He’s so cool. And his family is so rich. I hear it cost $700. Let’s all go over to Bill’s house and smoke joints and jam to that new Metallica album AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!”

Nowadays I play Merle and cry in my whiskey.

The last Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt is closer in time to us than he is to the first Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.

This year the United States will be 240 years old.
