While her fate was set during the previous great wars of immortals, Anastasia Gruff is nothing but mortal until the night she stumbles upon a scene that turns her world upside down. Now, she struggles to adjust to a world where nothing is what it seems, and feels more at home than ever before.
Devlin Miconis, heir to the vampire throne, is facing certain death. When a mortal woman saves his life, and gives him back his soul, he must figure out how to repay her. Now that she has given him something to live for, can he protect her from those who mean her harm?
Excerpt:
It was the end of his days. If the arrow currently protruding out of his chest wasn't enough warning, then the seven-foot Dergon demon hovering over him with his sword aimed at his neck was a pretty significant sign. Devlin had lived just a little under three hundred years and had never been this close to death. "You have taken your last drop of blood, leech."The last of his blood seeped through the hole in his chest, blurring the edges of Devlin's vision. Out of no-where, a glint of silver crossed his vision. A thud filled his ears as the demon fell clutching his neck tightly. Pondering what had happened to the demon, Devlin very slowly turned his head to see a beautiful woman. A human woman.Crouching down to him, she looked at the arrow sticking out of his chest and began to speak. "I think it's out for the count at the moment. Let's see what we can do about this sharp pointy thing sticking out of your chest, shall we."Making slow persistent movements, Devlin turned to stare at his beautiful savior. Curly red hair settled around her heart shaped face. The length gathered back in a ponytail at the base of her neck, easily reached her shoulder blades. Startling green eyes looked down at him in worry, such eyes could belong only to a goddess. High cheekbones set off by a jaw line that brought more definition to her luscious lips—the bottom lip slightly bigger than the upper. A mouth made perfectly for his kisses, which is not something he should have been thinking about at that moment."Hey there big guy, I need you to stay with me so we can figure this out. At this point, would it be better to leave it in or pull it out?" she asked, pointing to the arrow sticking out of his chest.Trying to keep an eye on the Dergon demon lying not five feet from them, Devlin spoke in a whisper to keep his chest from moving. "Pull it out.""Okay! I am gonna try my best, it looks like it's in there pretty good." Shifting slightly she pulled the thoroughly worn sweater over her head, rolled it into a ball and left it at his side. Removing it left him with the tantalizing view of only a spaghetti strapped tank top to cover her cream-colored flesh. "We need something to keep pressure on the wound. You've lost enough blood as it is." Grabbing the arrow just above his chest, she braced herself to pull, but hesitated, fear and uncertainty shown in the depths of her eyes as she removed her hands from the arrow. Dropping them to her sides, the expression on her face changed with the contemplation of her choices.Hissing in frustration of laying at anyone's mercy who happened upon them, Devlin pulled his lips away from his teeth slightly elongating them. Studying him, she made no move to run."Please, just pull it out!" His chest felt like it was on fire."Are you sure this is the route to go? I don't want to hurt you anymore then you already are. Judging by the fangs, it's obvious that you're not human." Looking down with beseeching eyes, letting out a sigh, then with a shake of her head, she continued, "I just don't want to kill you."That she would even be worried about his welfare was humbling. Devlin gasped as he made the mistake of trying to lift his head off the ground. "Wont… hurt…worse…than…now." "Okay. Don't go getting your boxers in a twist."To find Drea Becraft or download her book, "The Thrice Princess",follow these links…Website: www.dreabecraft.webs.com Blog: www.dreabecraft.wordpress.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/#!/andreabecraftFacebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Drea-Becraft/103481939716429Twitter: www.twitter.com/dreabecraftPublisher's site: www.secretcravingspublishing.com/DreaBecraft.html Buy Link; http://secretcravingspublishing.mybigcommerce.com/products/The-Thrice-Princess.html

Welcome Back Guest Spotlight Author Drea Becraft
This week's Wednesday guest is Anastasia, from Drea Becraft's book, "The Thrice Princess." Please join me in welcoming this special guest.
Stasia, thank you so much for agreeing to spend time in the hot-seat. We are so glad you're here. I suppose to start I should ask you to please tell us a little bit about your world. One word HECTIC if it's not one thing it's another. I swear it's a miracle I am still sane after the few days.
Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?Damn witch always tries, but we have this "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" relationship. Most of the time it's me scratching hers 'cause well she's already killed off one character, I don't want to be next.
Is humor important? Why or why not?Oh hell yeah, it's a big thing for me. If I didn't laugh in life I would cry and honestly I hate the raccoon eye look.
Is expressing love difficult for you? Why?Yes! When you are an abandoned child who had to live and survive on your own at a young age it's hard to let anyone in but once you in you are there to stay.
What is the most interesting thing that has happened to you?Meeting that damn vampire in a dark alley way changed the whole look out on my life that is for damn sure.
Did you do anything special after your first adventure?Lots of hot steamy sex all over a castle in Ireland. Enough said ;0). Is there a message you want to get across in this interview?Destiny is not something you can fight so go with it, less you get hurt.
What was the least interesting thing that has ever happened to you?Spending night after night in a psychiatric hospital if you weren't insane before going in then you will be in time.
If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?Oh she would fit right in she's one to call a spade a spade in the immortal world they are all about the honesty. And it would be funny as hell to see her put Jac in his place a time or too.
If you could time travel, where would you go?I have traveled and now live in Ireland the one place I always wanted, but if I ever get the whim then the portal are a girls best-friend now that I know how to use them.
What other characters have influenced you?Uhh none so far if anything I influence them if anything to go jump of the local bridge ;0).
Share a little bit of the 'real' you with our readers. Any Dark secrets? You want the truth....You can't handle the truth. * giggles * I love that movie. Honestly I don't have any secrets that are worth sharing they would bore you to death and we wouldn't want that would we?
What has been your all-time favorite question from another character? I honestly can't remember any questions my life has been too hectic I am afraid.
What motivates you to continue on these adventures? One word… DEVLIN! I love that man with every fiber of my being and knowing he is there for me no matter what is the biggest motivator any woman can have.
What does your significant other think about your adventures? And how do they deal with it?Hell he has been there for every major one in the past few months. If anything I am betting he is getting sick of being shot in the heart.
Do you ever ask your significant other for advice?Other than in the bedroom, no. LOL!
If you were brought into this world, what would be your first order of business?Bar Hop with Drea 'cause well it sounds like one hell of a time.
If you had the chance to meet another character, who would it be and why?I would have loved to meet Tina before she passed away that gal had a heart big enough to fill the sky.
What is your most favorite thing to do?Sit back and relax I haven't had a whole lot of that in my life and I enjoy it when I can.
Have you ever lost control?Oh, all the damn time. It's one of the downfall of having red hair ;0)
How many sex partners have you had? How many at one time?1 and I am mated to him so that's all there is ever going to be.
What's the kinkiest thing you've done? Stupidest? Craziest?A lady never tells! Good thing I ain't a lady. Did you know a castle fortifying wall is not the best place for doggie style and that's all I am saying.
Where do you see yourself in five years? With Devlin anything after that is a complete mystery seeing as how I am supposed to be the ruler of all mystical kind
What was the best sexual experience you've had?Honestly them all!
Do you think you are a superior being?Nope, just one with a butt-load of powers that even scare the shit out of me.
Is there a question you wish I had asked but didn't?Nope, you were very thorough. Hell some of the stuff Devlin had to help me with TWICE ;0).Thank you once again for stopping by, Stasia. I hope you come back another time and perhaps bring your better half. We love when characters step out from the pages of their stories and allow us to meet them on a different level. You were a wonderful guest.

Welcome Back Guest Spotlight Author Drea Becraft
Getting to know an author is the highlight of any blog owner's day, especially when it's someone as likeable and talented as Drea Becraft.
She took some out of her busy life to answer some questions just so we can get a glimpse of the author behind the books. Always fun and interesting!!
Now let's get down to business.
Drea, what's been your biggest influence on becoming a writer? Actually, other writers. I pick up a little bit of skill with each book I read so they are my biggest influences I think. I've heard a lot about your "to be read" list and it's quite impressive. How did you feel when you got your first publishing contract [image error] While her fate was set during the previous great wars of immortals, Anastasia Gruff is nothing but mortal until the night she stumbles upon a scene that turns her world upside down.

Welcome Guest Spotlight Author Drea Becraft
Happy Monday everyone!!
I am so excited this week because my guest is a darling friend and someone I affectionately refer to has my "wifey"!!
You see, this lady is the mother of three of the most adorable little girls, wife to a husband who's an absolute great guy, and trust me, they all keep her on her toes.
Drea lives in Ohio (I'm in Texas) and is the moderator and all around BOSS of an author/reader loop I belong to. I become exhausted sometimes just from reading her daily updates because she's always cleaning her house, rearranging furniture, creating really cool promotional jewelry, bookmarks and tons of other stuff, as well as making banners for herself and other authors, revamping her website and blog (she suffers from an OCD with this one), chasing after children, chasing after husband, chasing after cat, averting one technological disaster after another and this past winter did all of these things snowed in for the better part of the season.
I told her once that everyone should have a wife just like her, especially me, just so I could manage my own house and four kids.
So ever since, she's been my "wifey" in spirit! Sorry, Shane, but I love the heck out of her, too!
Drea's second book, The Thrice Princess, released recently and I'm thrilled she's sharing it with us this week. So let's not waste any more time.

Drea can be found a number of places and this week we'll get to know her much better, as well as Stacia, otherwise known as Anastasia. This is a "can't miss" week for sure!!

Welcome Back Guest Spotlight Author Lila Munro
It's Friday and you know what that means? Steamy excerpt day!! I know you haven't had enough of Identity Crisis, by Lila Munro, so please enjoy this yummy morsel....

After the wait staff came back and took away the remnants of dinner, Chad slipped back into the bathroom to shave and dress. As he pulled up his black jeans and buttoned the fly he looked in the mirror and hoped Tori didn't stop loving him when she found out who he really was and what he really wanted. Five years ago, it wasn't prudence that kept Chad from taking Tori with every bit of force she wanted, needed. It was Chad's own restraint. He wanted to give her all she desired and more, but if he was being honest, he'd have to admit that he was scared to death of what lurked beneath his surface. From the minute he'd stood in front of Tori for the first time, Chad wanted to know what it would be like to have her bend to his will under his hand. The crazed desire that heated him from the inside out increased exponentially the night he held Tori's hand and stood watching the woman Rio took as his own surrender to his merciful torture.
Chad watched as Tori sucked an ice cube from her now gone Royal Flush, holding it between her teeth, teasing him without realization of what she was doing. Thoughts of what he'd like to do with that ice cube flitted across his mind, through his body and landed straight in his dick. He'd been reading about the lifestyle for several weeks now, toying with the idea of giving in and asking Rio for instruction on how to go about staking Tori as his own. The woman drove him completely mad, and his heart sank every time he watched her week after blessed week allow some other Dom, usually Rio, tether her to himself and walk away. If she was trying to kill him emotionally she was succeeding. Chad knew that if he couldn't have her, he'd died a tormented man.
He ordered another drink, needing to numb the blatant desire to drag her off and spank her senseless. Who was he kidding? He'd never laid a hand on another living thing. The one thing that Tori needed to say yes. To leave with him and not come back here and Chad could not bring himself to do it. Knowing he couldn't relent to his instincts didn't stop the fantasy from haunting him however. More than once in the last several days Chad had found himself in a hot steamy shower with his cock lathered up imagining Tori was there with him. On her knees in front of him with his thick cock stretching her perfect rosy red lips taut. With both hands free he could delve his fingers into her sunshine colored hair, winding it around his hands, pulling while driving his cock down her throat…
"You gonna sit there all night?" Tori dragged Chad back to reality, but not before his cock swelled, straining against his fly until it ached.
Rio had managed to crush Tori somehow by finally claiming a permanent mate, although Tori admitted to Chad she didn't love Rio. If that were true what difference did it make who Rio took as a sub? With her small, delicate hand tucked inside his, Chad led Tori to the common area where Rio would demand his new woman submit to him publicly. Chad would like nothing more than to take a number for that ride and make Tori understand who was boss.
Together they stood back behind the crowd of leather clad spectators. Chad's heart raced as Rio's known sharing partner let go of the first lash to the woman that Rio had buckled wrists and ankles to a St. Andrew's cross. The strength that Rio fed her through his soul as his partner continued to take her to task was visible and fluid. Rio's eyes never wandered and each time the woman fell forward, Rio caught her, told her how he admired her and how wonderful she was doing, and pushed her back up. Chad wanted to be that for Tori. He wanted that and more. When Chad's breathing was reduced to gasps and his groin strained, stretching, reaching for something, Chad knew he wanted this so badly he could never allow himself to put Tori beneath his hands. He knew she was out of his grasp unless he could get her to see things his way because he knew he could never harness the drive within him that stalked like a caged animal seeking to be set free. As Chad's blood continued to singe the fibers of his very being, Tori tried to pull free of his possession.
Before she could manage to escape, Chad pinned her to the wall, facing away from him. He knew without a doubt she was aware of just what watching had done to him. His hard-on drove into Tori's back as he pressed his body into hers, holding her captive against the cold dark marble. Running his tongue along her throat and bare shoulder, he whispered roughly in her ear.
"Do you have any idea just how damn bad I want you, Tori?" The words barely came out of Chad's closing throat. With one hand clasping her wrists tightly on the wall above her head to hold her in place, he ran his other hand up her thigh and under her short black skirt. His fingers dug beneath the tiny triangle of material he discovered lay between his touch and her clit and found their mark with ease. "Let me in, Tori."
Tori writhed under Chad's hold on her and whimpered. Before he could process what was happening she told him that unless he took her in the manner in which she needed him to, he could quit trying to take her home with him. He knew that would never happen. He could never allow it to happen. As his lungs constricted and forced out the last of his air, Chad pulled away from Tori and disappeared into the crowd before she had a chance to turn around.

And now for some straight talk from author, Lila Munro...Domineering Asses Need Love, Too Some of you may have already caught on either by scanning my coming soon page, seeing the cover posted over in Facebooktown, or if you're one of the few and the proud up at HQ my husband already warned you. I've crossed "that" line. Yes, I speak of Identity Crisis which debuted March 8 through Rebel Ink Press. While it is a true love story, still laced with realmantica, it's also filled with what some consider taboo subjects. BDSM, ménage, and voyeuristic situations. The bug that initiated me exploring this subject today was planted by a good friend. He asked what I was writing and wanted to read a passage and I sent him the hottest sex scene in the story. In turn he turns seven shades of red, stammers, and then proceeds to tell me, "That Ren is a domineering ass." Ignorance of the lifestyle and how it works was doing the talking. Yes, there are those that crawl around the fringes for all the wrong reasons. There are domineering asses, but for the most part, the men and women that live this life have complete understanding of how and why it works.
Yes, friends, my teeny muse named Bronwyn who showed up at my door armed to the teeth with all her tricks of the trade won and I wrote down one of her stories. Bronwyn's first tale actually started through a series of events that unfolded last summer as I did my research for a series I've got simmering away on a back burner. One of the ladies in those novels lives the lifestyle, but unfortunately for her, she lives it for all the wrong reasons. It was through that research that I discovered my curiosity was more than I could contain any longer. I guess it's the psychology and/or sociology major in me—I have to know how people tick, what drives them in certain directions, what draws them to certain ways of living, and what it is exactly they get out of living there that way. Let's face it, we all know that out there mostly living in the outskirts of the sexual revolution is a sub-culture known as the BDSM crowd. But how many of us know it, are fascinated by it, yet suppress the urge to even ask a question of it? I'd never really read much in the way of BDSM until I sat up and paid attention during Broken Together by BethAnn Buehler. Until then I was curious, but had never acted on it. Then a trip down "that" aisle in Adam and Eve during my research for Echo book 2 really got my gears spinning. I knew there had to be more to this and there had to be a real live flesh and bone body somewhere that would talk to me about it. Now at this point sweetie's eyes are like saucers and he has that look on his face that tells me he will give me the world on a silver platter, but did I have to pick that world? The "oh God honey you can't be serious look." Well, I won out in the end and we spent the better part of a day riding around town trying to get someone to talk to me in places where I "assumed" these type of folk would hang out—what is it they say about assuming—it makes an ass of you and me? It also doesn't get you what you want very often. My ignorance of this world sent me down the wrong road immediately—it seems it's so taboo to speak of it, if you're deemed obviously vanilla it's hard to get someone to address you. And I don't mean that in a bad way—I understand it is meant to protect the vanillas from wandering away with someone that might do them harm as a result of the vanillas ignorance. However, I am determined and I was going to get to the bottom of this. You see my curiosity was no longer centered around what was entailed in this life—you know the what's done—I was immensely interested in the why. I had to understand this complicated relationship between a Dom and a sub. I was already starting to realize it had nothing to do with being mean, the sheer pleasure of inflicting pain, or a death wish. I knew it was something much more complicated. I think for a good portion of the romance reading world there is a certain degree of "squeamish" factor when perusing the aisles at either brick and mortar stores or the online e-book purveyors. More often than not, this squeamish-ness comes from pure and utter ignorance. Ignorance to those around us that are considered different and who's lifestyle may be considered to mainstream society to be taboo. Ignorance. Something I can't tolerate from anyone and above all myself. Thus my quest. To abolish my own ignorance and with hope in the process help to abolish someone else's. I did finally find someone that would talk to me. Sweetie and I went out with some friends and after a bit of bolstering up with the libation of my choice, I approached a guy that looked like he might be open-minded and willing to talk to me and might very well know of at least where I could go to ask some of my questions. I wasn't trying to stereotype anyone. I don't believe there is a "look" that screams "hey, look at me—I like to tie my partners up—you game?" He just simply seemed like an open type of guy, not shy, and quite frankly he had a look of authoritative knowledge about him. So, I figured, what would it hurt to ask? I did. The clouds parted and a ray of sunshine fell down between us, a beacon to the information I sought. He sent me to an online society for people either practicing the lifestyle, or interested in the lifestyle. Now, I know now that opinions vary on the use of "lifestyle." For some it is degrading. They feel that it makes their way of life sound less than normal and does indeed stereotype. I apologize to that portion of the population. My intent is to in no way, shape or form degrade you choices. It's from simple lack of knowing how to express this any other way that I use the term. For others, how their way of living and loving is labeled is irrelevant. As in all sub-cultures, there are many sides to one coin. So, here I am now armed with a few tools and a few contacts and ready to tackle this issue I am ignorant of and find some answers. And answers are exactly what I got. I even discovered some things about myself I was unaware of, or at least was in denial of until now. After talking to a few people and freeing my mind of pre-conceived notions, the nature of BDSM relationships began to take root and understanding grew where the tree of ignorance once stood. You see, I am even now thoroughly convinced that these relationships may in some cases be more stable and loving that normal vanilla relationships. Note I said in some cases. I'm not saying everyone should run out and try this—it's not for everyone, in fact it's something you either are or aren't. Why would I say they are in some cases more stable? Because of the degree of trust that must be exhibited and practiced between the two or more people involved. In a normal vanilla relationship, yes, love is a dominating factor along with trust. Any time you give yourself completely to someone trust is paramount, but even more so I feel in the lifestyle. You're not only entrusting your body to someone—in the case of the submissive partner you are giving complete control to another person and having faith that they will understand and respect your boundaries, possible even realize them before you do, and that they will in return for that trust take care of your every need, quite possibly without you the submissive even having to express what those needs are. Now you're getting a glimpse as to just how complicated and complex these relationships can be. How strong love must be between these people to harbor that complete faith in another. It is a complete surrender of not only the body, but of the mind, soul and heart. What makes it even more complex is when multiple partners are involved and the hierarchy must be established. In the case of Identity Crisis, the story entails a m/f/m relationship between two Doms and their sub. The hierarchy established dictates that there be an alpha Dom and a beta Dom. As my characters soon discover, finding and accepting ones identity can often be a scary problem and requires giving up some degree of control even when you are the one that's supposed to be in control. And sometimes that takes more strength than actually being the alpha. The whys? Why does anyone do anything? Because it's what makes them feel good, it's where their pleasure is derived. And for some pain is the center of that pleasure and when given in a loving manner with boundaries it is just as sensuous as any vanilla act.So, what was it I learned about myself? That I do indeed have a submissive personality and although I do not practice this lifestyle I like for my alpha mate to be in charge of things. I like to be tended to and made to feel safe and cherished. We all have tendencies toward either a dominate or submissive personality, they just manifest themselves differently according to each person's limits. I'm still researching by the way. I've found that Maya Banks knows an awful lot about ménage relationships and how to write them and Cherise Sinclair can write BDSM like no one's business and she gets the complexities of the relationships. Hers are not stories born of just the sex, the emotional aspects are explored quite thoroughly. I hope this dispels some of the misconceptions about the BDSM lifestyle. I'm no renowned expert by any means, but I'm working on it. No, Ren is not heartless, and yes, domineering asses need love, too.

Someone once said you never truly know a person, Chad Dearborn was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was given everything a person could want and more, country clubs were his daycares and Paris and London his playgrounds. Heir to Dearborn Inc., Chad stands to inherit a veritable fortune. But the problem is his parents want to gift him the perfect wife to go with it. A woman in the form of a molded, plastic, jet set dolly. Certainly not Chad's idea of an ideal mate. He wants a woman that can hold her own, in and out of the bedroom. Who knew he'd find her in one of Portland's hottest leather clubs? Chad was fascinated by what went on there, but something just wouldn't let him cross that line.until you sleep with them.Country clubs? Europe? The closest Tori Myers ever came to those things were the covers of magazines. With an absent father, a less than attentive mother and nowhere to go, Tori finds herself drawn to an alternative lifestyle at the tender age of eighteen. Vertigo is a treasure chest of Dom's willing to give her anything she wants. But when Chad Dearborn walks through the door, Tori figures out sometimes what your heart wants isn't necessarily what your body is willing to compromise to have. Or do you?The thing that just wouldn't let Chad cross the line with his sexuality has come home to roost. And as a result, he's faced with a huge decision. Accept who he is and what he wants. Or continue to fight the biggest identity crisis of his life.
WARM EXCERPT:
An electric hum sizzled across Tori Dearborn's sun kissed skin, setting the tiny hairs on her arms and on the back of her neck on edge as she stared at the outfit hanging over the closet door in her bedroom. It was quite a number. A set of red leather chaps accompanied a red leather corset and matching g-string. Tori walked over and buried her face in the chaps, inhaling deeply, and a slow, delicious warmth enveloped her sending a dull ache straight to the core of her womb. Leather. New leather. God how that smell turned her on. Tori reluctantly pulled her face away from the chaps long enough to notice the accessories set upon her satin covered pillow along with an envelope. She walked over and picked up the red leather handcuffs that lay there. Her fingers glided over the smooth edges of the restraints wishing her husband was home right this minute to try them out on her. But Chad was away on business. It was the first time in their five year marriage he would miss their anniversary, but clearly by the gifts he'd left behind this morning before leaving, he was anticipating quite a homecoming to make up for it.Never in her wildest imagination would Tori have ever thought to marry someone like Chad Dearborn. Not only was he a successful VP at a top notch land development firm, he'd had the good fortune of growing up in the lap of luxury. He'd enjoyed the best private education money could buy and all the amenities to go along with it. Private country club memberships, private music lessons from some of the world's elite musicians, and European vacations. But none of those things compared to the one thing about Chad that had almost kept Tori from marrying him. Chad was the most conservative and restrained man she'd ever known. When he'd discovered her lifestyle choices Chad was less than thrilled, but he professed a love so deep he agreed to try to somehow make their relationship work through some creative compromises. For three hundred sixty two days a year, Tori would be the model conservative wife. She would dress appropriately for the country club life, mingle in all the right circles, and attend all the necessary functions. That wasn't to say that the lifestyle was completely absent those three hundred sixty two days. In the privacy of their own home, Tori sat at Chad's feet and he fed her. He put her on a pedestal and she wanted for nothing. And in the bedroom he would occasionally pull out a silk scarf and blindfold her. But the full on, leather and bondage games that Tori thrived on were restricted to special occasions. On those three days of the year, Christmas Eve, Tori's birthday, and her and Chad's anniversary, Tori was allowed to be the leather loving submissive that Chad had found in a less than conservative club one night while he was out rebelling against his parents desires for him to marry a stick figure Barbie from the jet set.It wasn't love at first sight by any means. In fact, Tori resisted him with sass and even tried to turn him off. "Hey, Tori," J.C., Tori's best friend, said. "Baby Trump over there's giving you the eye.""You mean Richie Rich?" Tori laughed. She'd noticed him when he first walked into Vertigo. "I don't think he realizes he's not in Kansas anymore."The man J.C. referred to sat at the end of the long stainless steel bar in his faded Lucky low slung jeans and indigo ED Hardy tee shirt. He stuck out like a sore thumb as everyone around him was wearing black or red and most of the attire was leather. Tori could plainly tell he didn't belong in Vertigo, but he didn't seem daunted by the fact that he was an anomaly and made himself at home on the black leather clad stool with the big silver rivets all around the edges. Completely oblivious to anyone else, he nursed a tumbler of whiskey and steadily stared at Tori."Maybe you should take him on the tornado tour." J.C. laughed cynically and twirled her flogger around her wrist."I don't think he's my type, J.C. Maybe you should be the one to break him in…not so gently. He looks like a sub to me. He's more your type."J.C. alit from her stool and left Tori's side. She walked down the bar and stopped beside the man that didn't belong. After a few words were exchanged J.C. came back and once again took up residence on the stool next to Tori."Well, Madame? Any luck?" Tori asked and took another sip of her Royal Flush."Nope. He says to tell you someday he's gonna marry you," J.C. told her and laughed again."Whatever. He's just another rich boy out to sow his wild oats before settling down with whichever playmate of the year mommy and daddy have picked out for him." Tori hopped off her stool. "However, he's the worst dressed one I've ever seen in here. Most of them at least try to fit in for their one night of glory."Tori's eyes met the man's in a steady gaze and as she maintained that contact, she walked across the dance floor to a Master named Rio. Rio wasn't a Master by accident. He could take a submissive where he or she wanted to go so well, they often times never realized the trip was so painful. Never breaking eye contact with the man on the stool, Tori allowed Rio to claim her for the night. Rio ran his big hand down the thin silver chain that hung on his belt, took the clasp at the end and attached it to the open lock collar Tori wore around her neck. She shot the man a taunting smile and locked her bright blue eyes on his rich chocolate ones as Rio led her away to a private room.Lila Munro loves to hear from her readers and can be contacted via her website http://lilamunro.weebly.comher joint effort website http://www.wickedmuses.blogspot.comor through Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Lila_MunroYou can also contact her via email at lilasromance@gmail.comFor more information about Rebel Ink Press please visit their website at www.rebelinkpress.com

J.C. laughed cynically and twirled her flogger around her wrist."I don't think he's my type, J.C.

Welcome Back Guest Spotlight Author Lila Munro
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with with Ren yesterday and when nobody was around, he was kind enough to give me a few dominating tips. Now I just need a willing sub....hmmmm? Oh I know! Maybe I could try it out on his creator, Lila Munro!
Okay, okay, so everyone who knows me also knows that I am a pussy-cat and would have difficulties dominating a flea! So I suppose, I'll just have to take pleasure in kindly putting her in the hot seat and seeing if she will submit to a gentle nudge. Something tells me she's the type who plays nicely, so lets see what she has to say!!!
Lila, how did you feel when you got your first publishing contract? To be honest I had mixed emotions when I got my first contract. I was foremost ecstatic coupled with almost complete disbelief. It almost seemed surreal. But, I got a contract off of my one and only submission so the thought kept crossing my mind—what's wrong with this picture, could it really have been that easy?
My experience was exactly the same. I wonder what else we have in common. Let's see.....oh, I know, how do you categorize yourself: pantser or plotter?I'm primarily a plotter, but at some point in my stories that morphs into semi-panster as I get to know the characters a bit better. And as Ren so graciously pointed out when you talked to him, all some characters have to do is look at me with a stern Dom eye and I melt and bend to their wishes.
Yes ma'am, he certainly has that effect of the ladies, this one especially. As an author myself, sometimes people ask my advice. What is the biggest piece of advice you can give a beginning writer?I'm full of advice, so narrowing that down to just one big piece is difficult. There are so many important pieces. I'd say to new writers do your research. Not just for your stories for accuracy but research the houses you are submitting to and make sure you're a good fit. Also, don't fall prey to the drama that can surround this industry through social networking—it's great for promotion, but can ruin you in a minute if you present yourself as anything less than professional in that arena.
Oh, you hit the nail on the head for that one. Speaking of writing and promoting, time is always tight and we rarely have time to enjoy the good things in life. Do you have any guilty pleasures?Well, I used to have plenty of them until I found I have a bit of a blood pressure issue. My guilty pleasures have gone from chocolates, Starbucks and Pringles to fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and honey. However, my all time guilty pleasure is ditching everything for the day and carrying my tail to the shore where I can lie about on the sand and watch the Recon marines do push-ups in the surf at noon. I'd say that more than makes up for the loss of Starbucks.
That may make up for the Starbucks thing, but you're definitely risking raising the blood pressure there, my friend. Be careful and next time you find yourself checking the quality of our troops, take a picture or two and share. Watching those guys would surely inspire me. What influences your writing? And why?People tend to write what they know and I know marines. I've been married to one for nearly fifteen years and many of my stories revolve around them. What's not to love in an alpha hero who is big, strong, dominant, gets rid of bad guys and makes love like they mean it because there may not be another chance for weeks?
Lila, there ain't nothin' better than that. Men in uniforms, especially marines, do it for me every time! Not to change the subject, but if you get me to talking about men, we may be here a while. So to be on the safe side, tell me, what are you working on now?I've got several irons in the fire. I'm working on the sequel to Identity Crisis, True Identity—a marine is involved ladies. And there will be a third in that series Assumed Identity. I'm not sure it will go past those three books. These are novellas and I'd like to move on in that genre to some full length novels. I'm also working on the rest of the Delaney Brothers series—A Slower Lower Life and the third book in that series that's not quite named yet. Also later this year, books two and three in the Force Recon anthology series will come out. My cup runneth over.
It certainly does. You are one busy lady as are most authors, which leads me to my next question...Who is your favorite all-time author?I truly don't have one all-time favorite. And I love a variety of genres spanning classics to mainstream to at one point in my life vampires to romance. Some of the people at the top of my lists have included Hemingway, Anne Rice, King, Sparks, Cherise Sinclair, and Maya Banks.
That's a top of the line list you have going there. A wide variety. They all have so much to offer and even though most are household names, I bet they've come across things that have been hard to write about. I know I struggle with love scenes sometimes. Are love scenes easy/difficult for you? When I first started out they weren't necessarily so much difficult to write as I had my boundaries firmly established close to home. Then as I became more experienced those boundaries extended. I know many people say they have a hard time writing the love scenes, I myself love to write them. I love getting in someone else's head and putting to words all that they are feeling physically and emotionally.
I completely understand and being able to get in a character's head, well I don't have to tell you, it's noticeable and the characters shine because of it. Sometimes, as with any career, we need a break. If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?With my husband. Anywhere. He's currently away on business and I'd give anything to be able to touch him and hear his voice in person.
That's a great place to be, do doubt. Do you have another career besides writing? What is it? I don't work outside the home, but I do have a gig working for Rebel Ink Press as their Marketing Director. I love being able to help other writers achieve their goals and watching how happy it makes them when they succeed.
That sounds as rewarding as writing your own stories and I'm certain you're appreciated. To date, which is your favorite story? Which one did you have the most fun writing? To date it's a toss up between Identity Crisis and Bound by Trust. Of course comparing the two are like comparing apples to oranges. Identity Crisis is a BDSM/ménage and Bound by Trust is about a war widow and her journey to learning to love and trust again. Two completely different sets of emotions involved and loved writing them both.
I can't wait to read them. Identity Crisis is in my TBR pile as well as in a ton of other reader's lists, too, I'm sure. So, if you had the opportunity to say one thing to your readers, what would that be?Thank you. If it weren't for readers there would be no writing career.
Absolutely true! Now for some fun stuff... Whipped Cream, Strawberry Sauce or Chocolate Syrup? Whipped cream—I mean what other food can you create a bikini out of successfully and then have it licked away?
I LOVE THAT ANSWER!!Now let's get really personal. What is the craziest/sexiest thing you have ever done in public?I made out in the dunes on the beach with the hubs while there were troops over the dune conducting ops. And no we weren't 18, in fact it was after our nest was empty. Don't let him know I told…K?
Ohhhhhh lala!!! That's as sexy as it gets...a little hint of exhibitionism mixed in with that BDSM, manage mind of yours, I see. I think after forty, you should get a free pass to fool around whenever and wherever the mood strikes. LOL! My kids would argue that, but who cares?I am so glad you came by this week and look forward to the rest of the week, too. Welcome Back Guest Spotlight Author Lila Munro
Today's a great day! I love when I get to back a sexy man into a corner and when it's one of two sexy heroes from a sizzling romance novel, well, let's just say that it doesn't get much better than that. Today I'll be joined by Ren from Lila Munro's "Identity Crisis". But first, a reminder of what Identity Crisis is all about...
Tell us a little bit about your world, Ren.Gladly, Robin. I live in Portland, Oregon with my friend Chad and the love of our life, Tori. Tori's legally married to Chad, but she's our wife. Chad and I are both successful businessmen and travel extensively, and lately Tori's been traveling more and more with us, well, quite frankly, because ever since I entered the picture and helped Chad get back on the BDSM train, she can't stand to be apart from either of us for long. Oh, did I mention we have exclusive membership at L'Edge, the BDSM playground of the country club set? It was there that Chad first allowed me access to Tori and she accepted me as part of their life.
I'm glad you mentioned that. I bet you know how to take charge, which brings up my next question...Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?Yes, she does. Lila is notorious for not listening to me. Of course this only ends in frustration and discourse on all ends. Being the insightful person I am, I have figured out that Lila has a submissive heart even though she doesn't live the lifestyle. With some degree of coaxing accompanied by her willingness to please, I always get my way.
Nice talent you have there. I get the feeling you know how to read women and their feelings, but what about you? Is expressing love difficult for you? Why?Absolutely not. I'm a Dom. I'm only as happy as my sub is and expressing love keeps her happy. And I have oh so many ways to express it.
I have no doubts about that. As an author, you have me curious about your lifestyle. If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them? Well, I don't know what Lila would have in mind, but I know what I do. The first order of business would be to get her to the nearest club and trained. She's so eager to please everyone around her, she'd make some Dom at L'Edge very, very happy.
She sounds pretty exciting. We know a little about Lila, so tell me, what other characters have influenced you?Abby, the girl that lives in The Sergeants of Echo Company series. Her story is still being told, but had it not been for Lila meeting Abby and becoming fascinated with the BDSM world, she'd never have met me, therefore my story would never have been told. And I feel extremely sorry for Abby. She's into the lifestyle for all the wrong reasons and the Doms in her life thus far have been complete abusive asses. Her situation encourages me to be a more compassionate and giving Dom.
I can see how that would have negative repercussions if it isn't handled right. Glad to know you recognize those aspects of the lifestyle and steer clear of it. What has been your all time favorite question from another character? The question came for Tori, and I quote, "Why are you still dressed, Ren? Don't you want to claim your prize?" Of course I did. And I did claim her, thoroughly.
Forgive me as I squirm in my seat. I just had a visual and I may need to fan myself. I can't tell you how much I look forward to meeting the others in your story. If you had the chance to meet another character, who would it be and why?Hunter Golden from The Sergeants of Echo Company series. He's Abby's current boyfriend. He's never explored the lifestyle and is having a hell of a time understanding Abby's needs, although as I stated above, the answer to her needs really have nothing to do with BDSM. I'd would love to sit him down and explain to him what this life really is about so he could understand her more and be able to help her. The poor guy is flat aback with his rudder flailing and needs someone to show him how to take control of his situation.
Well that's no way to live and certainly not the key to a successful relationship. I do hope you have that chance some day. I'm not familiar with BDSM as a lifestyle although a little slap and tickle always sounds appealing. Perhaps I should...eh hem...research it a bit more. Thank you so much for joining me today. I'll be sure to tell Lila you behaved like a gentleman although a part of me wishes you hadn't! =^-^=Send my regards to Chad and Tori!Lila Munro loves to hear from her readers and can be contacted via her website http://lilamunro.weebly.com her joint effort website http://www.wickedmuses.blogspot.comor through Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Lila_MunroYou can also contact her via email at lilasromance@gmail.comFor more information about Rebel Ink Press please visit their website at www.rebelinkpress.com

Welcome Guest Spotlight Author Lila Munro
April brings many fresh and wonderful gifts and this week so does Sealed With A Kiss!
I am thrilled to introduce a new friend I've had the pleasure of making in this bustling world of romance, Lila Munro!
Lila Munro is a writer of contemporary romance currently residing on the coast of North Carolina. She is a military wife and takes much of her inspiration for her heroes from the marines she's lived around for the past fourteen years. Coining the term realmantica, she strives to produce quality romance in a realistic setting. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading everything she can get her hands on, trips to the museum and aquarium, taking field research trips, and soaking up the sun on the nearby beaches. Her works include The Executive Officer's Wife, Bound By Trust, All I Want for Christmas is Redemption, Destiny's Fire, A Slower Lower Love, Salvation, Force Recon: Beacon Bayou, and Identity Crisis. Currently she's working on sequels to several series to be released throughout 2010-2011. Ms. Munro always works as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Rebel Ink Press. [image error] Now for the introduction of Lila's novel, Identity Crisis... Someone once said you never truly know a person,
Chad Dearborn was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was given everything a person could want and more, country clubs were his daycares and Paris and London his playgrounds. Heir to Dearborn Inc., Chad stands to inherit a veritable fortune. But the problem is his parents want to gift him the perfect wife to go with it. This book rocks, but don't just take my word for it...
Said Wendy from Happily Ever After Reviews about Bound By Trust: Let me say, I loved the book and I fell in love with the characters. Their story is so realistic I felt as if they were my friends. Through all the hardships, Rafe is a man who Madi learned to depend on and love again. He made her feel like a woman cherished while teaching her what she craves is right in his arms. Theirs is a true love story with their share of disagreements and trials. The story had me from the first paragraph and is a must read if you want a real man falling in love with a real woman. 5 Teacups.
Said Judith at Book Binge about A Slower Lower Love:This is one of those novels that needs to be read and re-read. There is so much here and such depth that it will, in my opinion, take more than one read through to plumb those depths and identify all that is going on with the characters. So I recommend that lovers of romance novels with tension, authentic emotion, and essential humanity not miss this story. It is a full length novel and well worth the time and effort to explore. I give it a rating of 5 out of 5.

A woman in the form of a molded, plastic, jet set dolly. Certainly not Chad's idea of an ideal mate. He wants a woman that can hold her own, in and out of the bedroom. Who knew he'd find her in one of Portland's hottest leather clubs? Chad was fascinated by what went on there, but something just wouldn't let him cross that line. until you sleep with them. Country clubs? Or do you? The thing that just wouldn't let Chad cross the line with his sexuality has come home to roost. And as a result, he's faced with a huge decision. Accept who he is and what he wants. Or continue to fight the biggest identity crisis of his life.

Ready for A Wicked Ride??
I'm ready to take the wheels for another visit from Avril Ashton!! Slap on those seat-belts kiddies, were in for one helluva week!!
Many of you may have had the pleasure of meeting the only author on the planet whom I fondly refer to as my sister from another mister, Avril Ashton, but for those of you who haven't met her, hold on!!
Brooklyn has some pretty fantastic qualities, but none of the other New York boroughs have this talented author, but guess what? Today, we have her, too!
And lucky for us she brought goodies....

Sasha Forde has retired from life as master thief, but a visit from a mobster sends her right back in. In order to save her family—and herself—from jail, she must steal evidence hidden in a lawyer's office. She sets out to do what she considers a simple B and E, but someone else has arrived first. And he holds her life in his tattooed hands. Not for long.
Niko Davaris is all about revenge on the man who tried to kill him. The evidence he stole is the first step in that direction. He's not thrilled to wake up with a gun to his head. The woman on the other end is cocky, smug and too damn hot for her own good. He wants her, she wants the evidence. When she takes it and disappears, he gives chase. Battle lines are blurred as they give in to temptation, but on a ride like this, someone has to come out on top. Who will it be?
Excerpt: PG13 Sasha kept her eyes and guns trained on the door. Next to her, Niko stood stark naked, his sawed-off aimed dead center on the entrance to the cabin.
"Anything I should know before I start blasting?" "Nope, can't think of a thing." Bullshit, but she held her tongue and waited. His gaze never wavered from their target. A dark head eased through the tiny crack in the doorway. The intruder kept his body hidden behind the door as he turned his head left, then right, and finally straight ahead. "Oww, my eyes!" Their uninvited guest stumbled into the cabin with his gloved hand, gun in tow, covering his face. "What's happening?" asked a deep voice from the outside. "What the hell are you doing here?" Niko lowered his weapon and glared at the man who'd broken in. A second man barged his way into the cabin, gun at the ready. And then there were two. Intruder number two took one look at Niko in his birthday suit and pivoted. "Put some clothes on, would you?" "You know these fools?" Sasha edged closer to the newcomers as Niko grabbed a pair of jeans from the back of the couch. "Uh…babe, this is Maysin." He pointed to the second man. "The one covering his face is Justice. Guys, I'm decent and this is Sasha." Targets acquired. Justice dropped his hands and regarded her closely. She felt like a bug under a microscope. Maysin turned around. His eyes were filled with questions, but he had to wait. "Well. Well. Well," she drawled, "I've been waiting forever for you guys." "Do we know you?" Maysin squinted down at her with olive green eyes. He resembled the basketball player Rick Fox with his toffee skin, the facial structure and his dark curly hair. But that's where the similarities ended. Maysin's hair was longer and secured at his nape in a ponytail. His jaw sported a scruffy five o'clock shadow. An angry-ass scar ran from behind his left ear to his chin, marring his otherwise pretty boy looks. His bulky frame, clothed in head to toe black, and deep baritone inspired Sasha's tighter grip on her guns. "No, Rick, you don't know me." She grinned and released the safety on her pieces. "But I know you two." Maysin frowned, probably at the name she called him. Behind her, Niko chuckled. Justice raised his gun. "Ah. Ah." She tssked. "I'd rethink that if I were you. I'll drop you before you get one out." "Who's this person?" Justice lowered his hand and turned to Niko. "Didn't you hear him earlier? I'm Sasha. Now, drop the gun on the floor." She motioned to Maysin who stood coiled, ready to spring. "You, too." Both men did as ordered in halting movements, their faces hard, eyes flashing retribution. When she was sure they were disarmed, Sasha curled her fingers around the trigger. "Sasha." Niko called her name. "What?" She didn't take her gaze off the men promising violence with their stare. "Babe, you can't shoot them." She frowned. "Why the hell not? They took something from me." "Technically, I took it from you. Besides, you got it back." "Oh, yeah, you're right." The expression on Maysin and Justice's face said What The Fuck? "But I still want to shoot them." She pouted. "Why?" Niko stood beside her with his arms folded. "I promised myself I would. It's been a long time since I've shot somebody." She made eye contact with the two men standing before her. "I'm due." "Okay, am I the only one who thinks this chick's crazy?" Justice's white teeth flashed bright next to his dark-chocolate skin. Equally dark eyes, high cheekbones and a sharp jaw line gave him an exotic look. He towered over her, dressed in all black—shirt, motorcycle jacket, jeans and boots. His low voice had a Caribbean lilt to it. "Sasha, you cant shoot them," Niko said. "They're my friends and I kinda like them." "What does that have to do with anything? Maybe I should shoot you instead. You said I was the only other person who knew about this place, but clearly that's a lie." She glared at him from the corner of her eye. "I didn't lie to you," Niko whispered against her neck. His breath on her skin made her shiver. "I have no idea how they found us." "Why don't we find out?" She turned to Maysin. "How did you find us, Rick?" His green eyes shot daggers at her. "My name is—" Sasha sighed at his words spoken through clenched teeth. "Really, Rick, we'll get nowhere if you insist on being bogged down with irrelevant details. Now, answer the question. Let's not forget the crazy chick has the guns." "How'd you find me, Maysin?" Niko circled Sasha waist. She leaned her head on his shoulder. "GPS on the phone," Maysin grated. "Fucking technology," Niko murmured. Sasha nodded in agreement. "Alright, everyone take a seat," Niko said. He walked around to stand in front of her. "Sasha, put the guns down." "What?" She glared at him. "I know. You want to shoot somebody, but it can't be them." He framed her face with his hands and kissed her lips. "Not even a flesh wound?" "Nope." She pursed her lips. "Well, can I at least smack them around a little?" Niko barked a laugh. "No, babe. No violence of any kind." Sasha lowered her guns with a sigh. Her arms were getting tired anyway.
Sasha is probably the only woman on the planet suited for Niko... but what I wouldn't give to borrow him for a day or two... Mmm hmm!If you think "A Wicked Ride" is a book worthy of feeding to your e-reader, don't push yourself away from the table just yet because on APRIL 15th, dessert will be served on a silver platter.... here's a sneak-peek at this delicious morsel... "ONE WICKED NIGHT"!! [image error] Justice Alexandre kills people. A lover of the shadows, he makes no excuses for what he does. Besides, people bore him. He has no use for them…until a hot summer night in a Toronto nightclub. The woman with misery in her eyes whispers three words in his ear, shattering his world like shards of crystal at his feet.
She wants to lose herself—or maybe find herself, Myka Prentiss can't readily decide. What she does know is the dark stranger hugging the shadows at the back of the club calls to her in ways she can't explain. Putting fear aside, accepting the heady pull, she makes her move, asking for one nameless night. Nothing between them but sweat and tangled sheets.
He accepts.
When they're done, she walks away wanting more. Back to an unfulfilled life, she's comforted only by her memories…until her dark stranger shows up at her door with an announcement.
