There's a great article over on the 24/7blog about children and prayer - a prayer room in Finland created especially for a Kindergarten group. Prayer activities included somersaults (aka roly-polies) apparently… inspiring.

Recently got a map of the United Kingdom to begin...



bike2bless:

Recently got a map of the United Kingdom to begin to look at some routes for bike2bless.

In the past bike2bless has been a leisurely ride across Holland or an intense route through France. This year our plan has been to 'bring it home'. Back to the UK.

239.3 miles over 5 days is 47.86 miles a day. But we may have to squeeze it into 4 days as I am still working out logistics. It is defiantly attainable; a challenge for many. Along the way you can look forward to scenic stops, laughs...

Happy New Year! These...









The end of the world, or a new beginning?

Happy New Year! These photos are from Cape St Vincent, taken on our recent trip to Portugal. They interest me because sailors once believed this to be 'the end of the world'. The final shot is of a plaque at the maritime museum explaining their fears and superstitions. There was nothing known beyond this point… it was a mystery, dangerous and threatening. But it was also, in due time, the way to a new world…

What about this month? Is this the end...

Tell it in Colour is a Belfast-based web site committed to publishing the 'good news' stories that are all around the city. For years Belfast has been associated with 'the troubles' and the news has been of violence and hatred. www.tellitincolour.com responds not by complaining about the darkness but by loving the light. I really enjoyed my brief visit to the site - it is fresh, positive and uplifting and a great example of prismatic mission in action…

Bethanie has been under thick snow these past days - we were going to drive to Geneva to hang out in the mountains, but we really haven't needed to! No internet, no home phone and no car access without snow chains…
