Who won the giveaway

I still have to sit down and run the numbers through a generator. I meant to do it today but I was in the car from 9am this morning to 6 in the evening driving through Oregon rain from Redding to Portland. I’ll try to do it tomorrow and will get the results to everyone asap. Thank you for your patience.

Hey you...

kata-chthonia:

Yeah you.

The one who thanks to my enabling stayed up ALL NIGHT reading this book:

OK, first off…

You have to take care of yourself. Then…

EAT BREAKFAST. Breakfast is good for you. Toast with avocado. Or a waffle. Or the Ron Swanson breakfast.

Right? Have you given yourself the positive self care you deserve? Perfect.

Now, sit down and write a review of Destroyer of Light on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or iBooks, and copy your review to Goodreads.

And thank you, if you already have written a review. I don’t need to be the first to tell you that as a writer, I rely on reviewers like you to show other people that they will enjoy my book. It doesn’t have to be a long review, you don’t have to gush, it doesn’t have to be Shakespeare. If you accidentally drop in a spoiler, it isn’t going to hurt anyone. Just please leave a review.

Have you taken a couple minutes to do that? Good! Now go outside! It’s springtime!!

"Maiden, the Woman and the Crone" omg thank you so much for saying "Woman" instead of "Mother". I've always had trouble with the triple goddess as a woman who doesn't want kids and I'm just so happy to see people embracing the idea that womanhood isn't syn

I did a strange, very non-Greek mythology blend with Hecate in the book. First off, I did do the triple goddess thing with her in the book because that’s the Hecate I “grew up” with. But since she’s a virgin goddess I’m changed up the contemporary pagan MMC to MWC. One thing that pushed me away from neopaganism was the almost obsessive focus on human fertility.

I also REALLY don’t like the idea of female identity being connected to fertility. I know too many people with PCOS, or people who don’t want children, or people with vaginas who just don’t want that to be part of their experience.

I mean, hell, as someone who does want kid (note: singular), I get enough crap as it is for being a One and Done future parent, from people who are convinced I’ll just ‘change my mind’ about having multiple children.

So I’m glad I was able to give you and other childless-by-choice or childless-by-nature people some peace of mind.
