I have read this book and its sequel at least three times each on kindle and I’ve been trying to get my hands on a hard-copy for weeks now. I couldn’t find it in any stores, so I finally just caved and bought it offline.

Highly recommend!

On a side note: it’s a retelling of the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone. A damn good one too! However, fair warning, it does have explicit sexual content. If you can’t handle that, this might not be the best book for you…you can always skip over them though.

i used to think sisyphus’s punishment was one of the worst things that could ever happen to a man but then i watched a guy spend what probably amounts to several hours of his life so that he could beat a level of super mario 64 without pressing any buttons except to adjust his camera and then i realized that a lot of people would probably consider pushing a rock up a hill forever kind of fun

actually everything the ancient greeks have to say about tragedy makes a lot more sense when you realize how much human beings love to torture ourselves for absolutely no reason except for the fact that we can

#someone would find a way to hack tf out of that rock

“hey guys it’s agathon and welcome to my playthrough of greek mythology, today we’re gonna use backwards long jumps to build up enough speed to clip the rock up the hill and beat the so-called impossible tartarus level,”

Bringer of Spring

asphodelon:

It’s the First Day of Spring, and Persephone is preparing to depart for the upper world.  A century may have passed since she made the famous compromise, but saying farewell is still far from easy.

Bringer of Spring is a collaboration between me and my lovely friend kata-chthonia, awesome writer and author of Receiver of Many.  It’s been three months in the making, so I’m very excited to finally show it to everyone.  Please click the “Read More” to see the rest, and I hope you enjoy! :)

(Apologies in advance to mobile users. There are lots of images!)

Edit 8/5/14: Finally posted the art that was originally planned as the ‘cover’ for the comic. :)  Check it out!
