NEW NOVEL NEWS!
The new novel is called After the Death of the Ice Cream Man, and will be out in June. A departure from the satire and lustful comedy of Dizzlemuck, the new one is a somber but ultimately transcendent meditation on death, mourning, and the rediscovery of love.
Synopsis:
When his troubled mother is killed in a car accident, Jonah Swain finds himself confronting the ghosts in his family's complex past, images of depression and alcoholism which have scattered his family and threatened to close him off to love and happiness.
As he embarks on an interior journey through an emotionally complex landscape of memories and moments, from earliest childhood to the days after his mother's funeral, Jonah comes to realize he must finally face a vision of lost innocence that has disturbed him since childhood, and rise above a tangled past of heartbreak and estrangement.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day! Finished with the proofs of the next novel today… and isn't it interesting that the first and last word is "mom." That was actually unintentional, but makes sense: the novel is a somber but ultimately transcendent meditation on death, mourning, and the rediscovery of love, and was inspired by my own mom's death in 2003. More info will be coming soon….
