A Strange Thing Happened…
A strange thing happened earlier in the week.
Tuesday morning I arise out of a dream about 1000s of hot melting flashes of light hitting the earth. Didn’t think much of it but kept it on the backburner since I very rarely have dreams.
Wednesday my geography professor informs the class about an asteroid passing very close to the earth today. I thought, “How exciting!” This morning I view a video of a “real-life” meteorite flying across the sky in Russia. I think, “How interesting!!”

Epic Records Removes Controversial Emmett Till Lyrics by Lil Wayne
According to the Associated Press, music giant Epic Records is going to “great efforts” to take down a new Future remix leaked over the weekend with a vulgar Lil Wayne lyric that has offended the family of Emmett Till.
The New Orleans rapper made a sexual reference to the beating death of Till, the 14-year-old African-American Chicago boy tortured and shot in Mississippi in 1955 for whistling at a white woman. Till’s family objected and the Rev. Jesse Jackson reached out to his management, Th...

So what’s next up for Beyonce? Oprah’s Next Chapter…and A LOT more.
America’s favorite sweetheart will appear in a sit-down interview with Lady O this Saturday. In the intimate interview (no one does it like Oprah), Beyonce talks about her upcoming documentary Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream, her daughter Blue Ivy (and a pre...

Bruce Willis is Back in ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ (Trailer)
As you already know, there’s been a plethora of gun violence in our country as of late…so it’ll be interesting to see the results of the box office receipts for Bruce Willis‘ movie return in ‘A Good Day to Die Hard‘ this weekend.
Bruce is back to reprice his role as John McClane — will you be checking out the flick? My guess? I think the film will do well despite the gun issues currently going on in the country.
Anyway, I’m sure Bruce’s fans will turn out to see the film. The Die Hard franchis...

The Rising Dangers of Synthetic Marijuana
It can happen to any of your kids or family members. It’s fairly new and not as harmless as many believe.
I’m talking about synthetic weed — synthetic marijuana.
Today I read a CNN article that really came close to home — it was about a Texas teenager,Emily Bauer; she ended up in the ICU because she took synthetic weedpackaged as “potpourri” that she and her friends bought at a gas station.
Anyway, the young girl now has permanent brain damage and almost lost her life as a result of using the d...

Reach
Keep reachin’, always believin’
Keep trustin’, never fussin’
Yes you can – make it to the top of your mountain if you dare try -
and pry through the yokes of their hate, they’re never late.
But right on time does this rhyme hope to find you – deep inside you -
dreamin’ up new dreams in two thousand thirteen
For you can make it if you keep reachin’
Never stop believin’
Reach
A poem I wrote just for you.
