Robin Roberts Hospitalized
[image error](New York, NY) — Robin Roberts is on the mend after a brief hospital stay.
The “Good Morning America” anchor posted a message on her Facebook page Thursday telling fans she had fallen ill while on vacation in Florida.
She said doctors recommended that she stay in the hospital for a few days. The 52-year-old news vet returned to the “GMA” desk in February, after several months away to recover from a bone marrow transplant procedure.

Comedian Jonathan Winters Dies at 87
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mr. Winters in my youth (age 11) for the weekly Hanna-Barbera cartoon series Mork and Mindy.
I played the character Eugene. I also enjoyed Mr. Winters in The Twilight Zone episode A Game of Pool (1961) where he played James Howard “Fats” Brown opposite Jack Klugman.
Trivia: the actor who played “Eugene” on the original TV version of Mork and Mindy was played by Jeffrey Jacquet.

Actress/Singer Annette Funicello Dies at 70
Actress and singer Annette Funicello, most famous for being one of the most popular “Mouseketeers” on the originalMickey Mouse Club, has died.
She was 70.
Funicello was also a pop singer and movie star. She was popular in the 60′s with movies such as “Beach Party” and “Beach Blanket Bingo.”
According to “Extra,” Annette had been hospitalized in Bakersfield due to complications from multiple sclerosis and had been in a coma for years.

President Obama Apologizes to Kamala Harris For Calling Her Nation’s ‘Best Looking’ Attorney General
At a Democratic fundraiser this week, President Barack Obama caused a stir when he referred to California Attorney General Kamala Harris as “by far the best-looking attorney general in the country.”
On Friday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced that Obama had called Harris to apologize for those comments.
“He called her to apologize for the distraction created by his comments,” Carney told the White House press corps.

Jane Henson, who with her future husband and fellow puppeteer Jim Henson was instrumental in bringing The Muppets to life in the 1950s on a TV station in Washington, D.C., died Tuesday at her home in Greenwich, Connecticut, after a long battle with cancer. She was 78.
