Not pictured: The white kid calling him every dog-whistle racist term he could come up with. But our protagonist was the one who got in trouble, when he shouted “Why don’t you just cut to the chase and call me a n****r already?”


He silently thanks Obama for giving him the courage to stand against racism despite the consequences. A good cartoon.

Are you a feminist?

Yes, but I’m often wary of dudes proclaiming that they’re feminists because it’s a movement that’s not about dudes.

My politics are aligned with a lot of feminist ideas in the same way that they line up with black rights and gay or trans rights. With all of these movements I’m an advocate, but I don’t think that’s the same as being the focus or at the center of a movement.
