What is your favorite character in that book? Mark, Jennifer Benton’s boyfriend. He’s logical, kind, and smart.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? Nope!
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: We meet my character, Jennifer Benton, in her bedroom in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. She’s the sole person left in her home. What adventures will she face as she tries to survive. Who will she meet along the way? What will they be like?
If you’re a fan of “The Walking Dead” TV show, and you like character-driven stories, you may find my series entertaining. There are zombies, for sure, but the focus is more on the people.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? Yes, there are three books in the series:

Jaime Johnesee – Summer of Zombie Box Set
What is the Summer of Zombie Box Set?
What authors and books are included?
Meet one of the authors and hear a tidbit about her book below:
Name: Jaime Johnesee
What is the title of your book that’s included in the Summer of Zombie Box Set? Bob the Spy
What is your favorite character in that book? Face is one of my personal favorites. He’s just an average guy; aside from the fact he drives a yellow Gremlin and happens to be rotting.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? Well, there is that one secret code hidden deep within the font. When read correctly, on a Wednesday during the second blue moon in the month of February between the hours of four and four oh one AM EST, it can open a portal into Bob’s world. Other than that, the title is fairly self-explanatory.
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: It features a scene where two bumbling zombies, driving a yellow Gremlin, are attempting to follow someone inconspicuously.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? Yes, Ma’am, it sure is. If you search for Bob the Zombie on Amazon they’ll all come up.
Where can readers find you (website, social media, etc.)? You can catch me on Facebook, Twitter, and at my desk, writing.

Jack Wallen – Summer of Zombie Box Set
What is the Summer of Zombie Box Set?
What authors and books are included?
Meet one of the authors and hear a tidbit about his book below:
Name: Jack Wallen
What is the title of your book that’s included in the Summer of Zombie Box Set? T-Minus Zero. This is the prequel to my I Zombie series.
What is your favorite character in that book? Doctor Richard Gerrand. Although he debuts in the prequel and doesn’t appear again until the upcoming Fry Zombie Fry, he’s quite an important character in the arch of the series.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? This book was actually conceived during a walk from cosmetology school (yes, I was once a hair dresser). The idea came long before I developed the I Zombie series. The original idea was more in line with the film crew coming into the small town and turning the zombification of humanity into a reality TV show that would be broadcast across the globe. When I realized I needed to write something to fill some time while waiting for the release of Cry Zombie Cry (another story for another time), it dawned on me that I could shift the structure of that story and make it fit within the I Zombie universe.
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: Imagine getting a “back stage” look at how “Hollywood” can manipulate and affect our emotions and opinions. Within the pages of T-Minus Zero, you get a glimpse into that as well as the specific reasons why power can truly corrupt… even the mad. This is pre-Jacob and Bethany as well as when the Mengele Virus was first developed.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? The other titles in the I Zombie series are:
Main Books
Spin Offs
Very soon (end of August), the next main book will be released – Fry Zombie Fry. I will also be starting yet another spin off, this one a YA series called Teenage Wasteland.

Bio: You’re listening to …
Oh wait, wrong shtick. This isn’t about a DJ or an apocalypse. This is about Jack … just Jack.
If you don’t mind, I’m going to work in third-person here. Yeah, I’m going to call myself, The Jack.
Too pretentious? Okay. Fine. I’ll just go with “Jack”.
The path to becoming a professional writer was certainly the one less traveled for Jack. Originally, Jack’s artistic bent led him to a career as an actor.
No, not an actor in a bear costume (not even for “Furry Porn”). Jack did it his way. Working on Broadway and with regional and Shakespeare theatres across the country, Jack is proud to have held his own as an actor for over twenty years.
Twenty freakin’ years. Am I really that old?
Oh wait … third person.
Crap, where was Jack? Oh yes, he remembers.
But, as they say, all good things…
Before the economy had a chance to completely destroy the theatre arts, Jack decided to take his final curtain call during a production with the heralded Stage One Theatre for Young Audiences. It was, however, during that long career that Jack discovered he had a knack for the written word. His first, full-length novel was written between 2000 and 2003. That book, A Blade Away, eventually became his first published work. It didn’t take Jack long to fall in love with the creative process of writing and he followed that first book up with the cult-favorite, Shero.
It wasn’t until Jack woke up one summer morning with a simple question on his mind, that he would finally dive into the craft of horror fiction tooth and nail. That question, “What would it be like to transform into a zombie?”, led Jack to pen the first novel in the I Zombie series — I Zombie I. From there, Jack dove into the deeper waters of horror and has never looked back.

Eric A. Shelman – Summer of Zombie Box Set
What is the Summer of Zombie Box Set?
What authors and books are included?
Meet one of the authors and hear a tidbit about his book below:
Name: Eric A. Shelman
What is the title of your book that’s included in the Summer of Zombie Box Set? Dead Hunger II: The Gem Cardoza Chronicle
Who is your favorite character in that book? All of my characters are my favorites, really – while this is Gem’s chronicle, my fiery Latin heroine – Flex is her man and he’s awesome, too. Hemphill “Hemp” Chatsworth is my British character – and smart as a whip – along with his girl, Charlie Sanders. This book picks up after book #1 and really reveals the cause of the apocalypse and new ways to fight it.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? Not really – there is a bit of a difference in my series, though. In the first book, Flex Sheridan narrates and tells the story. In book 2, we move to Gemina “Gem” Cardoza, who tells “her beginning,” then picks up the story from where Flex left off in the first chronicle. I decided to include book #2 in this collection rather than book #1 because the first book is already included in a couple of other collections. I thought it would be interesting to do it this way because if the reader enjoys it, they can go back to Dead Hunger: The Flex Sheridan Chronicle, to read it like a prequel of sorts. If they prefer to just move forward from that point, they can always finish the series (thus far) and then read book #1 to see how it all began. I suppose the logical way would be just to pick up book #1 for $.99 and read it before digging into this volume.
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: I know you always hear that a book is character-driven. That is also true with the Dead Hunger series. They drive the story – and me! My zombies are different, though. Because of the way their molecular structure integrated with the chemical component that “changed” them, some pregnant females developed differently – in a scary way. They continue to evolve throughout the story in some surprising ways.
Another thing is how I add characters along the way rather than dumping a dozen people on you all at once. As my people get on the move, they pick survivors up so that you get to meet them one or two at a time. Eventually, if the character is popular, I may have them tell their own chronicle. Again, they start their chronicle from “their beginning,” then carry on to tell the story from where the last chronicle left off. The first-person aspect of my storytelling allows the reader to become intimately close to almost all of my characters, and the reader feels like a “fly on the wall” for most scenes.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? My Dead Hunger series stands at 8 books. They are numbered II thru VIII (Roman numerals) except the first one, which is just Dead Hunger: The Flex Sheridan Chronicle.
Where can readers find you (website, social media, etc.)? If you Google me, you’ll find every possible place I am – Twitter (AuthorShelman), Facebook/AuthorShelman, and Facebook/createyourfate, Goodreads, Smashwords, etc.

Bio: Eric A. Shelman was born in the prior century in Fort Worth, Texas. In his early teens, his widowed mother remarried a man named Ed Middleton, and his new dad moved the family to southern California. Eric used to write short stories that featured all of his friends as characters, but because Eric was a longhair living in Laguna Beach, California in the 1970s, you can bet they usually involved drugs of some kind.
Fast forward … to the mid-nineties. Eric started writing some short stories, and finally had one published. After that, he felt it was time to write a book. He initially intended to write supernatural fiction, along the lines of Stephen King and Dean Koontz, as well as many others. But when he discovered the story of a little, abused girl who was rescued by the ASPCA in 1874, he got sidetracked and wrote the very first book on her case, Out of the Darkness: The Story of Mary Ellen Wilson. It came out in 1999, and since that time, thousands have read it, and it is one of his biggest selling books ever. It’s also been optioned for a Major Motion Picture.
From there he wrote a thriller called A Reason to Kill and shelved it. Eric began work on a witch novel that involved past lives, but he became so confused while writing the book that he put it down at 53,000 words and didn’t write again for eleven years.
Wow. That was dumb.
Since 2011, Eric has written and released TWELVE full-length novels, including EIGHT volumes of his Dead Hunger zombie series. So … time travel, zombies, witches and serial killers. Something for everyone … everyone twisted, that is.
Eric A. Shelman lives in Southern Florida with his wife of 28 years, Linda.
Life is good.

Mike Evans – Summer of Zombie Box Set
What is the Summer of Zombie Box Set?
What authors and books are included?
Meet one of the authors and hear a tidbit about his book below:
Name: Mike Evans
What is the title of your book that’s included in the Summer of Zombie Box Set? The Orphans: Origins Vol I
Who is your favorite character in that book? I like Ellie she is a total smart ass and takes no slack from anyone. Shaun is probably my second favorite only because he is the future of America and its hope and savior.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? There is nothing in the title but every character and number in the book is someone I know.
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: The zombies are like none that you’ve seen before. They hunt in packs, their hunger is forever and they can outrun a Olympic athlete and tear your car door off before ripping your chest open. There is also a very strong character development, you will fear for every person’s fate.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? You can find Vol II Surviving the Turned. Book III will be out at the end of the year or beginning of 2016 but Zombies and Chainsaws should be out in November which will be my next and newest zombie series.

He likes to write from a unique perspective, doing things with books that no one has done before. He keeps his characters realistic, there are no superhero like events that will happen. There are no perfect characters in his books, everyone has their flaws much like that of life.

Armand Rosamilia – Summer of Zombie Box Set
What is the Summer of Zombie Box Set?
What authors and books are included?
Meet one of the authors and hear a tidbit about his book below:
Name: Armand Rosamilia
What is the title of your book that’s included in the Summer of Zombie Box Set? Dying Days: Origins
Who is your favorite character in that book? Definitely the lead, Tosha Shorb. She was already a standout for me and readers from Dying Days 2, and this is her prequel to explain how the zombie apocalypse began for her and her twin sister.
Are there any “author secrets” in your title (things you included or ideas you had that aren’t shared with readers in the title)? Of course! There are several characters who appear in other parts of the Dying Days world, and hints about a few long-term plot twists throughout. For instance, the Lyssa character will appear in Hell’s Bells: Highway To Hell 2, coming in November. It will merge this book with the first Highway To Hell zombie novella to see what happens to a couple of the characters.
Tell us something about your book that will make us want to read it: If you love zombies and especially the Dying Days series, you’ll be interested to see how the zombie apoc began in Pennsylvania. It will also give more insight into the Tosha character. And you’ll want to buy and read all of them so I can buy more M&M’s, too. Win-win.
Is your book part of a series (if so, what are the other titles in the series we should be looking for)? The main series is Dying Days, which currently has 5 books released. There are a few other side stories, such as this one and a follow-up, Dying Days: Origins 2 featuring David Monsour, another character from Dying Days 2. Then there is Still Dying, which are short stories set in the same world. Oh, and Highway To Hell, which started all of this zombie madness for me…
