When You Veer Off Course

I was recently at the home of my mentor Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, along with a group of beloved physicians committed to finding meaning in medicine, and we were talking about living with your mistakes.

How To Tap Into Your Self-Healing Superpowers

As I described in my personal health journey, I was once a doctor suffering from a wide array of health conditions before I finally woke up to the fact that the root causes of my illnesses were more emotional than biochemical, and that the only way I was going to get well was to treat the emotional, psychological, and spiritual sickness that was manifesting as physical symptoms in my body.

The MOST Important Part Of Your Health

Lissa Rankin

I recently had the privilege of giving a speech to a packed house of incredible people at the Hay House I Can Do It IGNITE conference, where I shared the stage with my mentors, teachers, and friends - Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, Cheryl Richardson, Danielle LaPorte, Kris Carr, Kate Northrup, Gabrielle Bernstein, Latham Thomas, Alisa Vitti, and more. For those who missed it live, I wanted to share with you my notes from my speech. So here you go!

The Healing Art Of Generous Listening

My mentor Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, author of Kitchen Table Wisdom, spends a lot of time talking about generous listening in the programs she teaches such as these and in the Healer's Art curriculum she developed for medical schools, which I had the privilege of participating in as a practicing doctor.

Repressing The Real You Makes You Sick (For Real)

I write a lot about authenticity, being unapologetically YOU, and letting your freak flag fly. In my TEDx talk, I spoke about the importance of tapping into your Inner Pilot Light and living in alignment with what's true for you as a means of both preventative medicine and medical treatment. And in my upcoming book Mind Over Medicine: Scientific Proof You Can Heal Yourself (Hay House, 2013), I make the assertion that caring for your body is the least important part of your health and that expressing your true self in all aspects of your life is the most important part.

How To Be In Your Body - Part 1

how to be in your body

For years, people have been accusing me of not being in my body (read about it here). I used to have no idea what that meant. I mean, of course I'm in my body, right? I have a body - and I'm alive. So by every medical and spiritual definition I could imagine, I'm in my body.
