Yikes, It's Tuesday Already....

I'm still deep in edits, folks. Argh. Got to go to work in a little while. Taking off another day of work to try to get these done. It's not that I'm rewriting my manuscript, but then again...

You see, one little change can change a whole book. Add a kiss earlier, and a love scene earlier in the book, and the one that was supposed to be first changes too. And their reactions to each other between the two changes. And...well, you get the point. One little change can change a whole book.

*sigh*

I'm having fun with it, but it's the going to the day job that's making it difficult. So I'm off to work this morning, but hump day I'll be humping away at editing all day, and Friday, the same thing. And Sunday, the same thing. And Monday, well, it's done. Finished. No more changes. As it's due then.

Will it be finished? Yes. I'll still have final line edits, but the book will be done.

Then I'm back to Tom's story. What do you think? Ready to tangle with the youngest Silver brother???

I'll try to get a newsletter out this weekend! I'm hoping I'll be done with edits by Friday. We'll see what the future will bring. Not making any promises.

But I'll try!

Have a super Tuesday! We're short-handed. Of course. :)

Here Comes the Bride....

Which is the bride today?

Exchanging Grooms
Barnes and Noble

Lisa Robbins has only one mission--return her UNUSED wedding gown to the bridal shop, except the clerk says no. So what's a girl to do?

Peter Crawford is Dallas's most sought after unattached bachelor, after Pembrooke Hastings. Once Lisa Robbins dumps Pembrooke, why not go after confirmed bachelor number two? Certainly, Peter is all too willing to go along with the deal since he's dying to learn how Lisa Robbins hooked Pembrooke into a marriage proposal in the first place and why she left him standing at the altar.

So now he has a chance to get back at his childhood enemy, except the vivacious heiress makes him rethink his bachelorhood in a hurry.

***
The bride today is in the center picture, serving as a teen from another planet who finds herself on another where she must use her skills and training to solve mysteries and stay alive hooks up with a shadow elf!

But today she'll be donning a princess gown and I'll share a picture later. We're off to get her hair done in curls on top of her head. It will be a LONG day! Yesterday was too...

The Shadow Elf
Barnes and Noble

Persephonice is given the mission of distracting the shadow elves who are bound to learn what is blocking their water source before they discover a space ship is sitting in the middle of their river. That's how all the trouble begins.

Persephonice is an overseer--an observer and recorder of information about inhabitants of civilized worlds. Only she's lost her lifemate and cannot be an overseer without one. She's given a second chance if she can prove she's worthy if she can survive an inhospitable planet inhabited by elves and other mythical creatures she's only read about, very little of which is known of them except that they constantly battle amongst themselves and are not civilized enough to safely observe.

The shadow elf, Dracolin, a warrior given the task of learning what is blocking their water source, doesn't expect to find the most unusual creature he's ever encountered--a red-haired, green-eyed land-bound mermaid. That's only the beginning. She understands and can speak his language, falls off cliffs without injuring herself, and swims like a mermaid--without the fishtail.

Everyone is intrigued with her--except some fear her uniqueness and want to destroy her. That is the problem with observing uncivilized worlds.

Marriage, Las Vegas Style
Barnes and Noble

Marcy Taylor wants a divorce, but she doesn't want her husband to go after the family fortune, so she's trying to do this the easy way, no fuss, no muss. The only problem is Michael Lindquist doesn't have a wife, and he's sure she's running a scam to try to get his family's fortune! It all began in Las Vegas when Marcy threw caution to the wind. Boy, was that a mistake. Twenty-five thousand dollars richer with a husband to boot and one powerful hangover, she's got to right the wrong. Now that Michael has a wife he doesn't know he had, he's not at all sure he wants to lose her. At least until he can unravel the mystery about her. And that's how the roller coaster ride all began.

Have a wonderful Saturday!!!

I'm off to get ready for a wedding. :)

Okay, Loved the Guy with the Blond Mane, but...

This one is more like the jaguar I'm thinking of. Although, mine is blond. Hmm. Okay, still on the search for a muscled, non-tatooed, short haired *blond* hunk that could do as Connor in Savage Hunger. Now this guy could be the jaguar stalking Kathleen.

*sigh* So many muscles to choose from. So many pretty faces. So many hot bods.

Such a job. :)

You see why I LOVE writing???

Have a super day! I'm off to help my daughter set up for her wedding.

Jaguar Man??? by Terry Spear

Okay, he's on a tiger skin, but what if he's really a lion shifter and took out the tiger?

I'm off to ship books to contest winners, have to get food for those who are getting their bridal pictures made before the wedding, and working on Savage Hunger.

This is not Connor from Savage Hunger...but this guy definitely looks like a cat shifter to me. He might just be another hungry jaguar. Just not sure. What do you think?

:)

Happy Thursday!

Squirmy Pups are NOT Conducive to Writing! by Terry Spear

Before I get to squirmy pups, I wanted to show off a guy who definitely is easy on the eyes. Now, who says guys have to be half naked to look sexy as the devil?

Mishka is a half poodle, half not sure how to spell it. Don't have time to look it up. And she has to go out again. argh.

But every time I visit with my son and his wife, Mishka is my lapdog. My son and DIL say I spoil her. But small dogs are great lapdogs. When they're sleepy and not squirming. And when it's cold, perfect for keeping a body, or at least a lap, warm.

Now, I have a scene where Darien is in his wolf coat and he has his head in Lelandi's lap in DESTINY OF THE WOLF. Do you remember it?

And in the new book, SAVAGE HUNGER, Connor, in his jaguar form, has his head in Kathleen's lap, but for an entirely different reason.

There's something sweet about having a pet cuddle with you. But it's not entirely sweet when a shifter does it. More...sexy. :) Because under all that fur is really a man.

Got to run. Have to go to a meeting this morning which means I have to leave even earlier for work. The good news is that this happy hump day is actually my TGIF!!! I'm off the rest of the week, helping my daughter with her wedding stuff. And I've got to finish edits on Savage Hunger! But we're REALLY short on workers today, AGAIN, so it will be just as crazy today, I imagine!

I also get relieved of my pet setting job as my son and DIL will be arriving tonight. My daughter and SIL will be arriving on Thurs night, and so it will be like Christmas all over again! :)

Happy Hump Day!!!

New Year and I'm Worn Out!

Okay, it's the brand new year and what do I get to show for it? I went to bed at 8 PM. Meant to do edits for Savage Hunger, deadline looming, but was too tired. Does that mean the New Year came in with a whimper?

*sigh* I really don't have time to sleep my life away! :)

I saw Dreaming of the Wolf on the Indie Book List this morning and thought that was cool.

I'm still at Casablanca with a free giveaway until Jan 4. Several of the Casablanca ladies are offering books for the New Year's Bash, so be sure and comment.
This is a jaguar shifter who can't remember why he was in the water with his pants on. :)

Got to take the grandbaby (a puppy) out in the bitter cold. I need my wolf pack to take her out so they can watch her. She has to go on a leash or she tears off into the cornfields. My son had to chase her down the first time he tried to take her out without a leash. And she squirms and bites at the leash, so trying to get it hooked on is a trial in patience. Since I'm in a hurry to get things done and to work on time, I don't have a whole lot of patience in the morning before work! :(

Before I left work last night, I had an unbelievable case...it went something like this--"I can't do it! It's against the law!  You have to do it."

"I will. Right here."

"No! No! Behind the desk! You can't do it out here. It's against the law."

If it's against the law, then I can't do it!

Okay, so I look up the book he wants and it's something religious. Raising brows. How is this against the law? Or something so terrible he will be struck down and carried away, ho-ho, he-he, ha-ha! Hmmm.... a cultists? Or something more bizarre?

Who says working at the library is an easy job?

:)

Happy New Year!!!

Hope everyone had fun New Year's Eve! The party's over. It's time to quit goofing off! :)

The tree's down, decorations are put away, the house is a wreck, but I'm ignoring all that to work on edits to Savage Hunger! :)

I tried to show off a happy New Year's wolf, but I don't have time to photo shop, and couldn't find any readily available! But a winter wolf seemed perfect! This is one of my wolves from Legend of the White Wolf!

Have a super New Year's!

There's Just Something about a Man in a Kilt....

What do you think? Would you like to get to know him better?

He might be a wolf....or not. Never know!

You see, I know some wolves...Heart of the Highland Hero
And some that are potential...Winning the Highlander's Heart
 The Accidental Highland Hero...

And this just up to finish off the old year!!!

Thanks to Mason, I'm up here!
Thoughts in Progress Interview! With a free giveaway!

And this delightful review of:

DREAMING OF THE WOLF
Terry Spear
ISBN: 9781402245558
December 2011
Sourcebooks Casablanca
Paranormal Romance/Shapeshifter
Mass Market paperback
[image error]
In this delightful novel we have Alicia Greiston as the heroine.  After her mother was killed by two mob guys, she becomes a bounty hunter who promises to track her mother's killers down and put them in jail where they belong.  Jake Silver is one of three triplet male werewolves born in the pack Alpha.  His brother is the Alpha, which is fine with Jake who spends his time as a talented photographer.  He only intends to be in town long enough to deliver his latest shipment of photos to the local art gallery when he spies a suspicious, and very lovely woman taking photos of a license plate.

This book is full of action, crime mobsters, surprising twists and very hot sex between our two main characters. I loved the balance of Jake's personality; he was both an alpha male while not needing to be the Alpha of his pack.  He could be strong, but he had much more to his personality than just macho posturing.

Dreaming of the Wolf is Spear's 8th book in the Heart of the Wolf series, however, new readers can easily follow all the action, romance and lore without having read previous books in the series.  That being said, I challenge any of you to read one Terry Spear book and not RUN to your nearest bookstore to order the rest. ~~~ Crystal CK2 Kwips and Kritiques /

Thanks so much to Crystal, who made my day this last day of the year!!!

Okay, I'm off to work--the last day of the year, wishing everyone a wonderful New Year's Eve!!! I have to go in an hour early to leave an hour early, so I've really got to watch my time!

Happy New Year's Eve!!!

United by Books with a Happy New Year from Me to You!

Today I'm at:

United by Books

So what do you think? Is he kind of wolfish?

I think I'm going backwards on my edits. Instead of forward! I was at page 65, and now I'm at page 56. How did that happen?

TGIF! And tomorrow it's work as usual. Kids are all leaving on Sunday, pets are all staying here. That means the cat, the dog, the flying squirrels, and the partridge in the pear tree.

The Dark Fae is a special feature on Nook Lovers!

Off to post this around and then work on edits. My daughter's wedding is looming...

Have a great Friday!!!
