Introduction
This book is called The Sunday Go-to-Meeting Bun, named after my blog, birthed nearly a decade ago; it is also known as, The Sunday Bun, or The Bun, interchangeably. Some of you might know where I got the name, but I’m going to assume a vast majority of you have no idea where it came from and explain.
Years ago, in the neighborhood of 1978, I was at a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. There were two acts. The headliner was Steve Martin and he was hilarious. The opening act was The Blues Brothers, featuring Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi, not to mention an amazing group of studio musicians who had come on board to be part of the group.
I was seated in the front row of the VIP section, as the woman I was dating at the time had connections—she was an aspiring actress.
Martin was incredible. I still break out in laughter when I think about him wearing the arrow-through-the head-hat; it was so sophomoric and yet so funny.
The Blues Brothers took the stage, and Belushi cartwheeled the length of the stage and back again before landing in front of his microphone. Ackroyd carried the mysterious black brief case and positioned himself next to Belushi.
The band was tight; even though the songs were cover tunes, they were played really well.
About half way through the concert, Belushi handed the lead singing over to Ackroyd who sang a song that has to do with the name of the book: The name of the song is “Rubber Biscuit.” This classic, nonsensical doo-wop song was originally recorded by The Chips in 1956. This phrase, go-to-meeting, which originated in the 1780s, hails back to an- other era and perhaps a simpler way of life where we didn’t think about or know words like Jihad, Terrorists, suicide bombings, TSA pat-downs, transgender bath-rooms, Snowflakes, gay marriage, abortion on demand, partial birth abortion, late-term abortion, and the selling of body parts by Planned Parenthood. The term politically correct hadn’t been invented yet.
However, the country was still racially divided as the south was still fighting the civil war and the North was segregated.
When The Chips recorded the song in 1956, Billy Graham packed venues with his crusades and most people said Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. We faced a cold war with the Russians that threatened to destroy all life on this planet with nuclear weapons. Vietnam was heating up as well as what would become the United States hegemony, with more than eight hundred military bases around the world.
I never forgot the words to the song, and when I married Peggy, my wifey of thirty-two years and counting, I would sing it out loud in the house. She always cracks up when I sing it and joins in the bow-bow-bow part.
However, The Sunday Go-to-Meeting Bun is more than a silly lyric from an old song: It’s food for our souls. The Bun, like a light breakfast of a donut and a cup of coffee, was meant to be a spiritual snack, not a full meal, although there are some Buns that are, in my opinion, a steak dinner.
I tried to keep them short and pithy and most of them are around six hun- dred words or so.
The Lord gives me a lot of them when I’m running, which I do at least three or four times a week. When I get back to the car, I write them down on my notes so I won’t forget them, then Saturday night or Sunday morning, I create The Sunday Bun and post it on the blog.
The topics covered in The Bun are wide-ranging, and this book, which is a compilation of the blog entries from 2013 and 2014, is meant to be read slowly— there is a lot to think about and to “feast” on in these pages—so don’t stuff yourself! At the end of the book, I’ve also included my testimony.
I hope this book draws you closer to Jesus: It’s all about Him. No matter where you are in your walk with Him, know that He loves you and is keeper of your soul.
For nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus – Romans 8:39

I hope this book draws you closer to Jesus: It’s all about Him. No matter where you are in your walk with Him, know that He loves you and is keeper of your soul.

Introduction
This book is called The Sunday Go-to-Meeting Bun, named after my blog, birthed nearly a decade ago; it is also known as, The Sunday Bun, or The Bun, interchangeably. Some of you might know where I got the name, but I’m going to assume a vast majority of you have no idea where it came from and explain.
Years ago, in the neighborhood of 1978, I was at a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. There were two acts. The headliner was Steve Martin and he was hilarious. The opening act was The Blues Brothers, featuring Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi, not to mention an amazing group of studio musicians who had come on board to be part of the group.
I was seated in the front row of the VIP section, as the woman I was dating at the time had connections—she was an aspiring actress.
Martin was incredible. I still break out in laughter when I think about him wearing the arrow-through-the head-hat; it was so sophomoric and yet so funny.
The Blues Brothers took the stage, and Belushi cartwheeled the length of the stage and back again before landing in front of his microphone. Ackroyd carried the mysterious black brief case and positioned himself next to Belushi.
The band was tight; even though the songs were cover tunes, they were played really well.
About half way through the concert, Belushi handed the lead singing over to Ackroyd who sang a song that has to do with the name of the book: The name of the song is “Rubber Biscuit.” This classic, nonsensical doo-wop song was originally recorded by The Chips in 1956. There’s a clip from around 1978 preserved on YouTube of The Blues Brothers performing this song, and I have provided a link to it so you can see it for yourself. Here are the lyrics:

Hee hee hee hee… What do ya want for nothing, a rubber biscuit? Bow bow bow…
As you can see, it’s a silly song but, in my opinion, very entertaining.
So, Ackroyd is singing the song and comes to the part where he says: …and a Sunday go-to-meeting bun! Bow, bow, bow…
This phrase, go-to-meeting, which originated in the 1780s, hails back to an- other era and perhaps a simpler way of life where we didn’t think about or know words like Jihad, Terrorists, suicide bombings, TSA pat-downs, transgender bath-rooms, Snowflakes, gay marriage, abortion on demand, partial birth abortion, late-term abortion, and the selling of body parts by Planned Parenthood. The term politically correct hadn’t been invented yet.
However, the country was still racially divided as the south was still fighting the civil war and the North was segregated.
When The Chips recorded the song in 1956, Billy Graham packed venues with his crusades and most people said Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. We faced a cold war with the Russians that threatened to destroy all life on this planet with nuclear weapons. Vietnam was heating up as well as what would become the United States hegemony, with more than eight hundred military bases around the world.
I never forgot the words to the song, and when I married Peggy, my wifey of thirty-two years and counting, I would sing it out loud in the house. She always cracks up when I sing it and joins in the bow-bow-bow part.
However, The Sunday Go-to-Meeting Bun is more than a silly lyric from an old song: It’s food for our souls. The Bun, like a light breakfast of a donut and a cup of coffee, was meant to be a spiritual snack, not a full meal, although there are some Buns that are, in my opinion, a steak dinner.

As many of you know Judge Andrew Napolitano is one of my heroes. Here’s a clip where the Judge lays it all out, in plain, easy to understand language. This Russian Hacking is the stuff of wag the dog and elite media spin. Don’t be fooled for a minute. The same guys who brought you the Ben Ghazi double talk are behind this nonsense.

As most of you already know. The recount was a farce and proved Trump won legitimately in Michigan and Wisconsin. I wonder how much money Stein was able to siphon off for her private use? Of course the REAL NEWS folks aren’t talking about that now, are they?
The popular vote, won by Clinton, came mostly from Los Angeles and New York. Both cities spend billions on welfare. Nanny state anyone? I wonder how many illegals voted in both places?
Now the powers-that-be are blaming the Russians for somehow rigging the election. Really? This is the last—trust me it won’t be—in a series of ongoing media spins to de-legitimize the TRUMP landslide.
Of course the media never really got behind the shenanigans in the Democratic primaries, now did they? Then we have the deleted Clinton emails, the BenGhazi wag-the-dog farce, the ever-growing-body count of suicides, the Clinton staffer who has been missing for over 40 days, the pedophilia accusations, and Mr. Spirit Cooking—is he really a closet Satanist?— John Pedestal, leading the charge with the Russian hacking farce.
Trump is not even in the White House and the media is all over him blasting away. One idiot on CNN called the Trump Presidency: A national emergency! Are yo kidding me????!!!
In closing todays post. We are living in a managed agenda and Trump is not part of it. This is why the backlash and endless evisceration of both his public and personal life. Yet, the people have spoken. He’s the agent of change and the American people are tired of the elites in Washington as well as the left-wing news.
However, the Middle East continues to slide into chaos. Iran has once again threatened Israel. ISIS has regained Palmyra. The Russians dominate in Syria and will most likely never leave. Terrorist attacks in Turkey and Egypt have left scores dead.
The Middle East could erupt in a full-scale war at any moment and a lot can happen between now and when Trump gets sworn in.
The Obama, lead-from-behind doctrine has, in my opinion, become the weakest foreign policy in our nations history.
In other news: People in Venezuela are searching through garbage dumps. This article should be required reading for anyone who wanted to vote for SOCIALIST Bernie Sanders. This is the fruit of the socialist agenda.

The New Paris – Want to Vacation There?

This is the graphic, in-your-face reality of what mass migration will do to our country. It’s happening in Paris and of course our mainstream-fake-news-weasels that is our “media,” like CNN and MSNBC won’t show this footage to the American people.
These migrants are rioting and there are sections in Paris that are no-go zones. Many of these immigrants have no skills, and no education. They want to live off the public dole. They want free-stuff. In many cases they want Sharia law.

However, since the verdict came down Wilders numbers have risen in the polls.
Think about this for a minute. If Clinton had won the election we would have had a drastic increase in immigrants from the Middle East. In other words what we see in Paris might have manifested, at some point, over here.
Trump has made it very clear that Americans come first, and I couldn’t agree more.
Over the weekend Trump appeared at the Army/Navy game. He also granted his first interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News. He is looking and acting presidential! Bully for The Donald.
The media and Obama are once again attacking the legitimacy of the elections by pointing to Russian Interference. As if somehow those sneaky-Rooskies rigged the vote! How was that possible? Don’t be fooled. The powers-that-be told us Trump couldn’t win. The pollsters informed us he was behind and had no chance of winning. The political pundits and talking heads told us Trump was unqualified. Yet, he won. The election is over and Trump won. Period.
Back to Paris. Over the summer we saw another terrorist mow down dozens of people in a truck. He was shot dead in his truck but the carnage he left behind will be remembered for years.
I, for one, have had enough of the bombings, beheadings and the false promise of 72 virgins for blowing up innocent people who are deemed infidels. The above video has become an all-to-familiar scenario as yet another bomb explodes and kills 20 or more innocent people.
In closing todays post. Time to wake up to the overwhelming fact that Radical Islam is at war with the west…. period.
One closing note. Moslems in places like Iran are converting. They are finding Jesus. They are leaving Islam. Jesus is appearing to these people in dreams and in visions. Of course conversion is punishable by death…
This is why freedom and liberty are the bulwarks of western society.

Sunday Go to Meeting Bun!

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1: 3
I’m on vacation at Mammoth Mountain and last night we had about a foot of new snow. I can’t wait to get on the mountain today! Yesterday was a white-out and winds were as high as 50 MPH. I crawled off the mountain after three runs. I experienced vertigo, as in a white-out you can’t tell which way is up or down. Very difficult to get one’s bearings.
As I was riding the chair up the mountain and looking at the whirling snow all around me I was thinking; He created all of this and then I wondered if He would ever ski during the Millennial kingdom, or if there would still be snow during the 1000 year reign. (I know…. but this is where my mind goes! LOL) Can you imagine skiing with Jesus! WOW!
Think about this, Jesus created all things. We read in John: In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were created by Him and without Him nothing that was made was made.
We read in Hebrews that Jesus upholds, sustains, keeps going, the entire universe and I would add what is seen and unseen!
He is The God of Wonders beyond our majesty and He is Holy.
The entire universe groans with anticipation for the coming of our King who will set things right. The universe is broken because of the rebellion by the Fallen Cherub, in the far distant past. We humans are broken because of sin which now dominates the world around us. However, He is still in control. God is still on the throne. His word will come to pass.
We live for perhaps 80 years or a little more and many of us think falsely that we are the captains of our ship. We are self-made and don’t need God because we have everything in control. Yet, we forget how fearfully and wonderfully we are made. We sometimes think, in our hubris, that we are sustaining ourselves. What we fail to realize is that He is the one who upholds us. He is the one who guides us, who sustains us, who literally gives us our next breath. We are His creation and He loves us.
He holds all of creation in His hands. Do you know your creator? If you think you know Him but you don’t know Him, then, you don’t know Him. Ask Him into your life today. Confess your sins and admit you need a savior. He is the Prince of Peace.

Jesus warned us: There would be earthquakes in diverse places. I’ve discussed this before but will do so again, as I believe firmly and with as much conviction as I can possibly muster, that we are experiencing the birth-pains that Jesus warns us would precede His Second coming.
Please remember that we are in the midst of a cosmic Regime change. What I mean by this is that the god of this world Satan, is about to be booted out. This will not happen immediately, but that’s where all this is headed. I call this the Great Eviction Notice.
That being said, we have had a flurry of temblor’s recently and guess what folks, they’re not going to go away. (See Fukushima story below)
Why is it that we read our Bibles and ignore the warnings that are called out with great specificity? You can’t get any plainer than what Jesus warns us would be the signs of His coming, i.e. earthquakes in diverse places.
But remember when Jesus states this there is absolutely no way to track an earthquake happening in Japan if you live in Israel. This would not happen until modernity, but now, my I-phone pings if there’s an earthquake above 6.0
These are the Days of Chaos and instead of ignoring them why not come to an understanding that these days and the events that are unfolding, herald the coming of our King, Jesus.
Fukushima nuclear plant RADIOACTIVE FISH found on west coast of US
I’m supposed to be on vacation and The Wifey and I are taking a week off in an undisclosed location in the Sierra Madre Mountains. LOL! However, I will be blogging because I have to.
This post about Fukushima is troubling. For those of you who come here regularly, you know I have been watching Fukushima since the onset of the disaster. Over 5 years ago a devastating 9.0 earthquake—not going away are they?—hit the east coast of Japan and crippled the nuclear reactors there. Recently reports from Fukushima stated that after 5 years officials have no idea of where the nuclear fuel-rods are. In other words they burned through the containment shell in the reactor and headed to parts unknown.
No we read that fish are showing up along the west coast of the USA that appear to be radioactive. Don’t eat the sushi!
Troublesome times? You bet and all of this was told to us by Jesus almost 2000 years ago. His parting words were this: When you see these things begin to happen look up for your redemption is drawing nigh.
The King is getting ready to mount His white horse!
