When Life Hits Us with Unexpected Circumstance.
Trust in the Lord with all thy heart
and lean not unto your own understanding.

A few weeks ago my editor Rose Diepstra lost her battle with cancer and passed from this world. It happened quickly and I talked to her just a week before she passed and now she’s gone.
She left behind her devoted husband, Keith and their two children. Keith and the kids and even Rose herself never saw this coming. Life hit them like a Mack truck.
A friend of mine’s wife has an aggressive brain tumor and she has maybe a year left on this earth. My friend and his wife have been married 30 years. Last night he called me and asked me what he should do. It was a hard conversation and because this friend doesn’t know Jesus I told him to go to whoever he thought God was and ask for peace and direction. It was a huge step for him to accept this. (He knows I’m a pastor)
Another friend tore his rotator cuff and has been sleeping upright in a chair for about two months.
Another, has a torn ligament in his knee.
We get emails during the week from people who have all sorts of issues. We hear about entities in the room at night, black-eyed children, and unbelievably, even centaurs.
The point I’m trying to make here is this. Trust in the Lord…. period. We have really no control over what life will throw at us and thus, our anchor should be in Christ and Him alone.
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus Christ and righteousness
There is no other place for us to go. When life hits us with the unexpected, we lean on Jesus. We go to Jesus. We ask for mercy, grace and peace.
Though he slay me yet I will praise Him.
When King David’s son died he stated he would see his son again. This is our hope that at some point in the future He, Jesus, the creator of heaven and earth, will bring us back to him and we will see our loved ones again.
He will wipe away our tears and there will be no more sickness and death.
Think on these things. Dwell on this. Put this into our spirit man and woman. Put on Jesus and walk circumspectly knowing: He remembers our frame and knows that we are dust.
Prayer is needed.

Obama – Actions Speak Louder Than Words!

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS REPORTED MONDAY THAT FORMER PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA RELEASED $221 MILLION IN U.S. FUNDING FOR THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY ON THE MORNING OF FRIDAY, JANUARY 20 — JUST HOURS BEFORE HE WAS TO LEAVE OFFICE.

Obama is gone and one poignant image from the day of Trumps inauguration was watching Barak and Michelle leaving Washington in a helicopter.
However, the carnage that he has left after 8 years in office is ongoing and won’t be reversed in a day, a week or a month.
Another paring shot from The outgoing president was giving the Palestinians 221 million dollars. Nice going Barak. Another slap in the face for Israel. Another executive pronouncement that was essentially and end-run around a Republican controlled congress. The emperor strikes again!
So why do I bring this up? Why is it important. It’s important because is shows Obama’s true intentions. It demonstrates, where his allegiances lie. It’s also a sneaky, last-minute political end-run that reeks of imperial authority.
Of course the press isn’t interested in this. As usual they give it a pass and don’t print a word about it. Our media needs a complete overhaul!
Obama made a really bad deal with the Iranians and essentially gave them what amounts to ransom money to the tune of millions of TAX-PAYERS hard earned dollars. In spite of Israel’s Netanyahu proclaiming at the United Nations that this was a very bad deal and essentially begging Obama not to do it. But Obama did it anyway.
Obama’s handing out money without congressional approval is the kind of oligarchy-type actions that I think most Americans are tired of and frankly disgusted with.
In what amounted to a scathing indictment of the Washington political class, Trump proclaimed that America is going to be handed back to the American people. Bully for The Donald!
So we need to start with term limits and cut out the life-time payouts to members of congress even after they’ve left office.
In closing todays post. Obama’s actions speak louder than any political double-speak he could say. He gave the Palestinians a lot of money and snubbed Israel yet again. I’m delighted he’s gone and look forward to Trump’s support of Israel.

PPS REPORT! TRUMP 1ST DAY! JERUSALEM
WASHINGTON (AP) — As a candidate, Donald Trump made a slew of “Day One” promises that any president would find daunting.
He declared that repealing and replacing his predecessor’s health care law would be “one of his first acts as president.” He released an 18-point plan for actions that would push forward sweeping ethics reforms and potentially undo scores of regulations. And he promised to fundamentally change the nation’s approach to immigration and begin work on an impenetrable wall along the southern border – all on his first day.
Some of Trump’s proposals would be easy: They require executive action or simply announcing his intention to do something.
Others, however, require congressional approval and would likely draw numerous legal challenges.
The list is long and ambitious – and there’s no indication from the White House that the president has any intention of taking them all up on Monday.
Nonetheless, here is a list of everything Trump promised to do on “Day One” of his administration:
IMMIGRATION:
-Stop all federal funding to “sanctuary cities” – places where local officials don’t arrest or detain immigrants living in the country illegally for federal authorities.
-Begin deporting what Trump estimates to be more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants living in the country.
-Cancel visas for citizens of foreign countries that won’t take those criminal illegal immigrants back.
-Immediately terminate former President Barack Obama’s “two illegal executive amnesties.” That presumably includes DACA, which protects people who were brought into the country illegally as children.
-Begin working on an “impenetrable physical wall” along the southern border.
-Ask Congress to pass “Kate’s Law,” which would increase penalties on people who unlawfully re-enter the United States after being removed.
SECURITY AND DEFENSE:
-Immediately suspend the Syrian refugee program.
-Convene his generals and inform them that they have 30 days to submit a new plan for defeating the Islamic State group.
-Suspend immigration from “terror-prone regions” where he says vetting is too difficult.
-Implement new “extreme” immigration vetting techniques.
TRADE:
-Announce his intention to renegotiate or withdraw from the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico.
-Formally withdraw from the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership.
-Direct his treasury secretary to label China a currency manipulator.
DRAINING THE SWAMP and GOVERNMENT REFORM:
-Propose a Constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress.
-Ban White House and congressional officials from becoming lobbyists for five years after they leave the government.
-Ban former White House officials from lobbying on behalf of foreign governments for the rest of their lives.
-Ban foreign lobbyists from raising money for U.S. elections.
-Impose a hiring freeze on federal employees, excluding military, public safety, and public health staff.
-Impose a requirement that for every new federal regulation imposed, two existing regulations be eliminated.
ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT:
-Remove any Obama-era roadblocks to energy projects such as the Keystone XL pipeline.
-Lift restrictions on mining coal and drilling for oil and natural gas.
-Cancel payments to the U.N.’s climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure.
HEALTH CARE, GUN CONTROL AND OTHER ISSUES:
-Cancel “every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama.”
-Ask Congress to send him a bill to repeal and replace Obama’s signature health care law.
-Begin the process of selecting a new Supreme Court justice.
-Get rid of gun-free zones in schools and on military bases.

and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard;
I hid not my face
from disgrace and spitting. Is 50: 6
I’ve always been a big fan of Bible Prophecy. I was drawn to the importance of prophetic scriptures some 36 years ago, when I gave my life to Jesus. When I became born from above.
This passage from Isaiah gives us a very clear picture of what Messiah will endure. It’s prophetic implications are staggering and the passage reveals this with great specificity.
In this passage we see three statements the first being: I gave my back to those who strike.
Think about the brutal, barbaric scourging Jesus went through at the hands of the Romans. I’m reminded of Gibson’s Passion of the Christ. We see Jesus tied to the whipping post. His back is arched and on either side stands a Roman soldier with a cruel tool of punishment, the Roman Flagrum.
This tool of torture had three leather-strands attached to a short, wooden handle. On the ends of the leather cords were shards of glass or metal. The Roman soldier would land it on the victim and then, with a flick of his wrist, tear the skin open.
Jesus was left a bloody mess at the end of the scourging. In fact, had a few more lashes been given He would have died on the whipping post.
[image error] Another interesting fact is that The Shroud of Turin shows the marks of the whipping and of the Roman Flagrum.
The next part of the prophecy tells us the beard was plucked from the face. Again, this is incredibly painful and excruciating. This is what Jesus endured for the sins of all mankind.
This was the work of Satan who wanted to kill Jesus from the moment he discovered He was Messiah. However, as Jesus told His disciples: No man takes my life, I offer it freely.
The final prophecy tells us this: I hid not my face
from disgrace and spitting.
When Jesus was brought before the Sanhedrin he was spit upon and His face slapped by the servant of the High Priest. Then again, the Romans hit him and mocked him as the continued their torture.
Finally, Jesus was crucified and with His death fulfilled many other prophetic scriptures.
The Bible tells us: we are healed by HIS stripes.
The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from our sins.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He laid His life down willingly to set us free from the bondage of sin, death and our own depravity.
He loves us/you and knows you better than you know yourself.
Come to him today. He will set you free.
From your sins, from the bondage that you may be in.
Confess Him as Lord and Savior ask Him into your heart today. Today is the day of salvation.
