2012 YA Historical Fiction Challenge

This is a challenge hosted by yabliss.com. I thought this would be fun to try. Book Five of the Priscilla the Great series takes place in the future. I thought it would be cool to take a look at the past through some books. Two books that I'm definitely going to try is Shadows of St. Louis by Leslie DuBois and Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen. I'm getting so excited about these challenges. I hope I don't go overboard!

C- Codename Dancer by Amanda Brice
D- Delirium
E-
F- Finally Home by Elysabeth Eldering
G-
H- Hunger Games
I-
J-
K- Kings and Queens by Courtney Vail
L- La Cienega Just Smiled by Leslie DuBois

P- Pride and Popularity by Jenni James
Q-
R- Rippler by Cidney Swanson
S- Shadows of St. Louis by Leslie DuBois
T-

And that's all I have for now. Let me know if you have any suggestions. By the way, this is a blog hop. Go check out the other people doing this challenge.

Follow Friday

This is my first time participating in a Follow Friday. I've seen the buttons all around and now it's my turn to play.

Question of the Week: The New Year is here -- and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?

So here is my answer:

1. Post at least five times a week.
2. Host at least two giveaways a month.
3. Comment on about 5 other blogs a day.
4. Get to 1000 followers!

It may not seem like a lot, but hey, I'm a superhero. I have a ton of other things to do. Super villains don't just catch themselves, okay?

My Giveaway Idea

So yesterday I came up with an awesome idea for my next giveaway. All you would have to do is blog about who you think is the hottest boy in a book. In exchange, you could win a Kindle Fire. Get it? Hot, Fire...because I can shoot fire out of my fingers! Anyway, this contest could be the launch for book 4 of my series which is due in February. What do you think? Is this something you would be interested in? I even have a button designed. Check it out!

So that's my idea. I'm gonna keep working on it. Maybe it will start in mid January and end mid February.

Best of 2011 Giveaway Hop

Okay, so this giveaway is for the best books of 2011. Well, of course my three books are included in this giveaway. I mean, they aren't called GREAT for nothin. You definitely have to read them. Trust me, you'll want to change the title to Priscilla the AMAZING. So I'm definitely offering those. I didn't get anywhere close to the 52 books I had intended on reading this year. But of the few books I did read, the ones that stick out for me are The Queen Bee of Bridgeton by Leslie DuBois and Songbird by Angela Fristoe. I thought I'd tell you a little about them and then you can enter to win by filling out the form.

Priscilla the Great Synopsis:
Hi,I'm Priss, an ordinary seventh grader with extraordinary gifts. As if middle school isn't hard enough, not only do I have to fight pimples and bullies, but genetically enhanced assassins trying to kill my family and me! But with the help of my genius best friend, Tai, we're gonna bring down the evil Selliwood Institute, an organization dead set on turning children into killing machines!

The Queen Bee of Bridgeton Synopsis:
When fifteen-year-old Sonya Garrison is accepted into the prestigious Bridgeton Academy, she soon discovers that rich girls are just as dangerous as the thugs in her home of Venton Heights. After catching the eye of the star, white basketball player and unwittingly becoming the most popular girl in school, she earns the hatred of the three most ruthless and vindictive girls at Bridgeton.

Songbird Synopsis:
There are defining moments in life when everything changes. For Dani Mays, it was the day she witnessed her brother's murder. Afterward, she bounced between her alcoholic mother and foster homes until she found a permanent place. And a reason to want to stay: Reece Tyler. He's her best friend, yet Dani wants more from him. Faced with losing Reece, Dani struggles to escape her memories.

Six Degrees Reading Challenge

I'm writing this post in order to remind myself that I definitely want to do this challenge. I haven't picked out the books yet, but when I do, I'll let you know.

What's cool about this challenge is that you have to get creative. You have to find unique ways to connect a certain number of books. Here's an example from Ren over at All By MyShelf.

Lockdown
{based in a prison}
Incarceron
{arranged marriage}
Matched
{scheduled deaths}
The Giver
{drowning victim}
Generation Dead
{undead character}
Once Dead, Twice Shy

So if you have any ideas for books for me, let me know.
